Years ago, when Ramses II came to the United States, and his mummy was displayed at various museums around the country, I had the privilege of gazing upon the actual face of the great ruler. It is something I will never forget. Along with his mummy came a wonderful assortment of other Egyptian antiquities, including the possessions of one of the foremen who constructed the tombs, including his bed and other household items.
