    Glad I'm living in the future and didn't have to wait 3 years for you to explain everything so that I can actually build one. Before I build it, should I build one or just go with the Borotto Real 49?

    Hey terry, i made this incubator s few years ago and it got thrown out unfortunately. I even used an inkbird PID. I have to say, that incubstor was INSANELY great. I cant believe it. You are a legend. Im coming back to rebuild it again

    Thank you so much for this video. I am waiting for my first hatch in about a week - in a store bought incubator. I am keeping this video for reference so I can build one for myself should the original fail. Again, thank you for helping those of us who are new to raising Cournix quail.

    I hope to build a cabinet incubator one day. I have one I purchased, and yesterday hatched 8 quail out of 10 eggs. I'm addicted!

    Ive thought about trying out the ceramic reptile heating elements that screw into a light bulb socket. Also installing a led light with a switch.

      Several people have successfully used the ceramic heating elements. Good idea on the LED light.

      Incandescent bulbs are going to be a thing of the past due to laws being passed but ceramic bulbs will probably be used more.

    If you got a good temp control you can wire up a speed controled fan to the rest and use that function instead of just cutting the wire off. Just saying.

    Did you ever do a turn/no turn test on your own eggs?

    How is the 12v incubator coming along? I could really use an option for some extended camping trips. It would be nice to be able to just hook up to a car socket and hatch along the way. I'm running hatches 1 week apart and can't take time off until my ayam cemani's quit laying. I need to get a lot in the incubator since I only get around 80 eggs a year.

    Do you have to turn the eggs manually?

    Thanks for the update on this. I want to build one, but with only one tray. Should I still do the same size or would it be ok shorter? Would it still need two fans?

      Any modifications from the original plans would need to be tested.

    What if I get led bulbs, that are 75w equivalent, but only run at 10.5 watts? Will that reduce the heat since it’s only 10.5 watts?

    How are you doing, if I wanted to build this incubator on a larger scale to incubate more eggs what tips would you recommend? Going higher and building more tiers or going horizontal with longer egg trays? Thank you.

    Hey terry so I just built this box last week and ended up receiving the wrong fans from Amazon. the ones I received are 2000rpms was wondering once your incubator gets up to temp. And the lights cut off how long will it hold that temperature before temp starts falling and lights cut back on thanks

    Hey brother my fans are in the bottom will it hurt my hatching

    • @CoturnixCorner
      @CoturnixCorner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really can't answer that. You will need to test the unit prior to setting your eggs to make sure your temps and humidity are stable. I can say that several people were successful modifying the incubator and got good hatch rates.
