The Consolidated 1940's - New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad

The New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad in the beginning of the 1940s. It was Commonly known as The Consolidated, or simply as the New Haven, it operated principally in the New England USA from 1872 to December 31, 1968. In 1948, the company operated 644 locomotives, 1,600 passenger cars and 8,800 freight cars on 1,581 miles of track.
