- The Z-52 is a very strong DD, especially in the domination game mode. The ability to bully and control capture points while wielding good guns and torpedoes makes it an extremely strong destroyer, capable of carrying even the most unlikely games. As usual, you can find my recommended build at the end.

That allied Lexington should gotten a complement. He stayed out of sight, constantly moved about, spotted DD and solo dealt with a Shimakaze.

Your CV is also MVP, sinking 2 DDs in a Lexington.
And completely ignoring 'em till they cap A. This is called "till fried chicken peck you..."

No idea if you were noticing the minimap at all, but only 1 of the DDs sunk was at A and the other was CV chasing all the way from C. At that time A was being capped, that Shimakaze wasn't ever spotted from the start of the game so he/she won't have any idea where the Shimakaze would have been or heading to. Plus with his/her bombers were just returning from a drop on a BB while having a DD in front and behind him/her, the Lexington doesn't have much freedom sending empty bombers to A to spot.
Lastly, have you ever tried dropping a DD with a single torpedo bomber squad? Unless the DD do nothing to avoid it's very hard to deal with DDs in a Lexington.

Those 2 have nothing to do with A being capped. And if you said the Lexington did nothing, he/she did send a dive bomber to assist the Hindenburg but the Hindenburg got sunk. And you generally don't use a single torpedo squad CV to strike DDs since the chance of hitting is very low, not to mention bombs are all up to RNG. If this was a Shoukaku then you can say he/she should have went for them earlier, but this is a Lexington.
When you look at the situation at 10:00, the CV could have used the returning bombers to scout the cap to either force a smoke by the DD there or to spot the DD for the Monti. If he already saw smoke there, it's still a good idea to use the returning bombers to scout the areas around the smoke to check if the DD has left it. The player did well, but could have done way better.

17:50 A good example of why you never leave an AFK enemy behind you, and ALSO why you can't be too careful when you're the one who decides to go sink him (in case he comes back from whatever called him away and blaps you).
About the HE/AP tracer mod:
Not only can you more quickly detect if you should change your angle to adjust to the different threat levels from HE or AP, it is also VERY useful to give you a tell as to what kind of enemy you are dealing with. Use it to detect potatoes who don't know what ammo type to use as this tends to be a good predictor for other gameplay flaws. That BB that keeps spamming HE at broadside cruisers? Yeah, he's probably not going to touch those WASD keys any time soon either.
I didn't even see what effect the mod had. AP has always had white tracers for me, same with HE and yellow, even without mods.

I personally also use the hydro duration module on my Z-52 it gives you like 146 second duration or something absolutely absurd

playing z-52 for a few days after a 3 year pause and watching this, i feel like something changed. maybe i just lost all my edge but i feel like i cant duel any dd nowdays. i lose every engagement because im so easy to hit and cant keep up with the dps. i can see the z-52 still being in a good spot in clan battles and stuff, but in random battles where you want to deal dmg instead of just playing safe and where many people never react to your spotting and dueling of other dds, it feels bad man.
every cap contest i try ends in my quick death and a bottom 4 place
4 sec reload sucks in tier 10, but now z is buffed reload speed by 2 seconds.

Flamu, why arent you selecting your torps first before you aim at an enemyship. This way they wont know you aim upon them, cause if they pay attention to the shifting numbers aimt upon them they got time to react like you said in a previous vid.
Even for you, that was a massive carry.
What about those special captains with their improved vigilance skills? Are they not suited for the high tier German DDs?

Nice that you have this shell mod on for us, but quite honestly i am partially colorblind and even i have no issue whatsoever to distinguish standard HE from AP. HE looks like giant flaming Tennisballs after all.

I noticed the fps drops too, but as long as you don't play for too long, the edits to the "engine_config.xml" file to help with the cache helps significantly.

Nice work, although I felt that the torp salvo on the afk fdg was kinda screwed up. It could have been 2 hits instead of one on target if you used the side of the indicator. Also, your team's Montana and Lexington played very well. Their shimakaze played rather poorly, threw the game.

I think you can go a little bit more ballsy in the end by charging straight into the Yamato instead of the defensive broadside. His turret turns very slowly, and you can see his turret turns and if he turns for you instead you can go back to defensive posture and hope he overpens you. Very risky, but retrospect wise, he did fired a potential kill secure volley to the Montana which, luckily for you, didn't kill the Montana. This rush idea is to force him to face you instead of the Montana.

Pardon the nitpick, you play a really flawless game and I get the benefit of watching it on replay, but IMO it would have been better to save those torps fired at 11:40 for the Richelieu.

Yo Flamu, got a seriois question: alrdy own Henri, Mosk, Hindie and Monty... i feel like not having any prefered t10 to grind for except not liking cv's. Just based on the pure fun at t10 only, what would u recommend?

That De Grosse that was afk may have been a bot. The bots have started moving once you shoot them.
Which explains why so many card-carrying members of the DD mafia on NA server hate carriers. They remove the DDer sense of invulnerability. All changing soon, though. For some reason the devs have been listening to the shrieking.

Yeah, the FPS drop is caused by memory leaks that start to happen when the game is on for too long.
rytedas Thanks. When you say memory leak that’s when all of a sudden I see (when I open the task manager) that the game is using 99% of my memory/CPU power?

also changing port helped in the past to Clear the memory leak (instead of restarting the Client)

The Z52, Montana and Lexington carried the others. The Z52 is the carry king though.
What about this ship in clan battles?
We've been running it with great success this season. It's a very strong DD, especially if the enemy team is running a shima or gearing. Yingyang is the only real counter to it with her radar.

don't have german DDs over the Gaede myself, but I do own a loyang and the hydro upgrade is a must (if you have it). So I guess for the high tier german DDs it's a no brainer as long as you have one available...

z52 or gearing? which should i go for first
Z-52. It is the better DD hunter by far. That hydro is beastly. A Z-52 in cap makes it a no-go zone for the opposition. Also, that monster AP is real fun to humiliate incautious cruisers with.

z52 is more universal ship, but she requires a skillful play. Gearing line would be a better choice for the rookie. But if you are enough experienced already - z52 will be a more fun
Ok, after watching, I agree that Z-52 is strong and can carry, but thats kinda DDs in general. In this game, hte enemy kurfurst was afk, your montana was good and angled (plus got a bit lucky), the enemy Yamato was fairly bad cause she failed to kill montana over 1-2 minutes. ALSO, you won because the CV was able to kill shima. So... Yes you carried, but it was by no means a solo effort. If the CV or Montana was kind of potato, or the enemy teams last 2 BBs didnt potato, you would've lost.

no idea why but whenever i try to watch your vids, they load REALLY slowly and even then, the vid doesnt keep up and keeps getting paused and resets the load, even at normal speed. at higher speeds it doesnt work at all!
