With out doubt this Artis guy is my favorite person in you tube is crazy sympathetic funny 😄 honest enjoy every video can’t wait to shipping on my bikes for a custom paint .
You might try using heat shrink tape instead of masking tape. It does a better job of squeezing air and excess epoxy out. However, for non structural repairs masking tape is fine.
So instead of epoxy putty for a hole you recommend just small pieces of resin wet carbon fiber pieces to fill gaps?? Wish the camera was a bit closer for learning hah but great stuff anyhow👌
@@rcarlmoy5795 yes of course but this company is not sponsoring me and I'm not willing to give them thousands of sales without support for my work. I have to pay all myself.
Hi Martin first of all your jobs are professional and perfect!!! I want to ask you if you can tell me the best carbon frames in your opinion ( frame quality ) Thanks!!!
Danke =)

hi Martin great job but do you have a structural carbon repair video?
Really enjoyed this. Quick question tho - that is this woven carbon fiber roll? How do I look it up, what are the specs, where do I buy it?
Maybe try Predator Cycling's kit?
@@Klips005 Thank you!

Always amazed by your repair and stray jobs.
All the videos in this series are really fascinating. May I ask, what epoxy are you choosing to use when laminating layers of carbon fiber?
In this video I used polyester a mentioned in the video.
@@ETOE And for the structural repairs, is there a type/brand of epoxy resin that you prefer?
@@rcarlmoy5795 yes of course but this company is not sponsoring me and I'm not willing to give them thousands of sales without support for my work. I have to pay all myself.
@@ETOE Fair enough. If they ask, you can tell them that I would have bought from them as a loyal customer.

Hello from Brazil. Great work!
Thanks for the vid.! Thanks for sharing!
Can the epoxy be allowed to dry not in a oven.
Can a bird fly without wings? Yes if strapped to a rocket.
How about in the area where the drop out is placed? How to place to carbon fiber?
Boa noite! Qual site comprou o carbono?.

Kommt darauf an wie die Faserbelegung am Rahmen ist. Diese sollte nach der Reparatur ähnlich in Richtung und Anzahl der Lagen sein.
would fiber fix work as well?
JogBird no
@ 5:06 I would be tempted to brush a bit of resin inside the frame to accept the patch.
How do you remove the masking tape that you put inside the frame. It seems impossible to reach now.
Jaesung Edward Lee it lives there until the end of time
@@dmartinezdl yep... That masking tape is now one with my bike.
Such a PRO!!!
Nice
how about carbon part of a bike that has gone soft? too much torque caused it, didnt crack though
Need to be replaced
@@ETOE you mean the whole frame? ouch!
