I read about a lot of those complaints in the Facebook groups, so it’s great that you didn’t have any issues with yours. I could feel your anxiety as you were preparing yourself for the worst, lol!
Everything about this figure looks fantastic except for that “vintage” style head. Yeah…it looks pretty ridiculous and just doesn’t fit with the Mondo style. As great as these Mondo figures look, they’re way too rich for my blood. (I still can’t believe I spent $600 plus on Origins Eternia…have no idea where I’m gonna put it…)

I let mine warm up in the box a week as well. Mine popped off at the waist peg but i was able to pop it back on and it stayed.

From an aesthetic point of view out of this world - especially the battle armor variant 😍.
However far too pricey - and it's even worse when you live somewhere outside the US (Europe). Plus there is always the fear something could break... 😟
Would certainly look at it in a museum but never purchase it myself.
I received mine today. He looks great! No problems on my figure, thank Lemmy.
Two minor complaints: the sheath for the dagger keeps going down on his leg, up to about his ankle where IMO it's too low. And the thunderpunch-effect could have been separate so you can put it over his normal fist (like they did for Origins), instead of having to swap out the fist for this one. And I didn't expect to like the Thunderpunch-look as much as I do, but I think I'll be keeping him in that for a while first. The joints are very very stiff, though. His abs dont move at all, so i'll have to gently wiggle that, I guess.
Great review! Unfortunately, I received mine a week ago and had QC issues, with the figure separating at the torso. What I will say is that Mondo’s customer service is excellent and they’ll be sending me another one, plus a gift card for my trouble. That type of accountability helps foster a better relationship between merchant and customer.

I'm so terrified to open mine that I've seriously considered just reselling it. That makes me sad because I was so looking forward to this figure.

@@LVHAXOR316 Yes, but from what I've read there are so many defects that they are out of replacements and won't have more until April. Granted, your point still stands, but for nearly $300 I shouldn't have to worry about my figure being defective. This isn't like they are a new company doing this.

Do think Mondo is making their MOTU figures better? What I mean is this: I have Faker and Hordak. Both of the look really good, but they both feel like they might fall apart at any minute. I just got the Mondo Revelations Skeletor and he is amazing. It looks and feels like a totally different company made it. You mentioned something about this He Man figure feeling more sturdy or I think your words were "I was worried it would break". So im hoping that is good sign. Like maybe Mondo has figured out how to make them better and the figures are going to be better in the future? My law partner was an engineer in his first career and while he has zero interest in MOTU, he was comparing the figures I have and talking about the difference in casting quality.
Im currently waiting on my preorder to be filled for He Man so I don't know yet

For something like this I'd definitely keep it in the package. To avoid any misshapes. I'm passing on this line $300.+ a figure. And it's too big.
