- Gnossienne number 1 is a solo piano piece written by the French composer Erik Satie (1866-1925), here performed on celesta.
I have recorded a whole album for solo celesta, the first one in the history of the instrument!:

Remarkably well done! It's odd because I was just about to suggest how you could and should create a celeste album but then I read the description. Congratulations for being the first to do so, by the way. Bravo.
😄 Thanks so much!!
More Satie please!
Will try! :-D
Both the music, and the cinematography/camera moves/editing are excellent...thank you these are great videos!
Thank you so much! ☺ I hope we will be able to make more videos in the future. And I will pass your message to the maker of the video, Youri Straver. 🙂
It's so beautiful! I'm relaxing when listen to you
Thank you, I'm so glad to hear! I recorded another Gnossienne in my album, maybe you will enjoy it. ☺ open.spotify.com/artist/6dfaz50o2xrJOFWc76cNnO
amazing!
This takes Satie's strangely moving song in a whole new durectiin. I wouldn't have thought of this song on a celesta. So glad you are so creative. More!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! ☺ I have recorded an album on celesta with this and more, maybe you will like it ^_^ open.spotify.com/album/4Ou7yJX8KwnYN2mBsuHJEN

Someday I'll have one at home. It's so beautiful 😍
Right? 🤩☺
beautiful recording and playing! I love how you're spreading the sound of the celesta.
I'm soon playing the celesta at a concert with my orchestra and am already looking forward :))
Thank you! ☺️
That’s lovely, what are you playing with your orchestra?
@@celiagarciagarcia We're playing Glazunow's The Seasons 3 weeks from now. I'm playing the piano and celesta parts which aren't too many, but still really nice music! Have your heard of it before?
Later in 2023 I'll play Stravinsky's Firebird and Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet though, I'm very much looking forward to those parts on the celesta and piano. :D
Do you have a favourite orchestral piece where you played the celesta?
@@celiagarciagarcia Also, I just listened to the entire album on Spotify and I absolutely love it!! Your arrangement of the Aquarium is absolutely stunning. I now feel inspired to also play it! hahah
Do you happen to have notated your arrangement and would be willing to share/sell it?
Lovely! I never played the Glazunov but R&J is wonderful!
Last year I played the first version of Firebird and I liked it a lot, it has much more celesta than the later suites, so that’s one nice piece. I just played Marietta’s Lied, which I love too. I’m general I enjoy a lot colouring other instruments like flute or violin.
I didn’t expect to see this on the channel. My favorite from Satie. Can’t wait to hear more of your performances :)
bueno la tengo en repeat
🤩 ☺️ Tengo una versión con mejor sonido en mi cd, quizá de interese. 😌

Sí! Es una grabación de sonido mejor que este vídeo 😎☺️
Living dolls
Yann Tiersen/Amelie vibes.
True! Only Satie came first 😉 I recorded another Gnossienne in my album, you may enjoy that one too if you like this vibe: open.spotify.com/artist/6dfaz50o2xrJOFWc76cNnO
@@celiagarciagarcia Also true, but as far as I know, Gnossienne 1 on the solo celesta didn't exist until you had this great idea. 🙂The celesta gives the piece a completely different sound in my opinion.
