Fresh from rehab, I’m trying to tryout for sober bands and need help if you can? I may just be confused. I want to do drum covers and add drums to tracks my band mates send me.
I’m trying to get to where I can record a video of me drumming with the audio of the drums going over the audio I’m listening to in order to make a full song.
I have all these adapters along with this larger iPhone adapter that has a picture of a camera next to a lightning port as well. It’s a camera adapter I believe.
I also have a GoPro, mixers, mics, and a handheld Tascam MKII recorder with mic input and headphones out.
Should I just use the iPhone with some of these items, or possibly get better audio through more effort?
I’m not very tech savvy, but I have a full studio of gear. I just want to make quick videos for now with my drums over audio I have on my phone.
Any tips for the easiest way to achieve decent sound and wider with what I’ve got without spending an hour wiring mics up?
Thanks in advance to ANYONE who can help. I really need to get my mind focused on music so I don’t relapse.
If I’m being totally honest here.

    Great video and clear presentation!!
Will this setup for the iRig 2 work if I'm trying to do video also, while running my Roland TD-17KVX kit through EZ Drummer 3 on my laptop? If not what would the connectivity look like? For reference, at my disposal I have the laptop, an iPad Pro, IEMs, and of course my Galaxy S21 phone. I also have the splitter, 1/4 inch to 3.5mm cable as well as the dongle you have in the video and two 1/4 cables for the L/R outs on the back of the TD-17. I've looked everywhere and cannot find anything up to date so far that works for my particular setup, so I'm hoping you might be able to shed some light on how my connectivity should look. Also would the 1/4 connection at the other end of the iRig 2 be needed for anything?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated!! I subbed to you also so I look forward to more great content!!

@@Theryanprim haha I don’t understand the question I’m sorry man! I’m sure you understand mine but let me give you a little more context so hopefully that helps.
I normally plug my in ear monitors directly into my pack and that’s all I need, so in that case signal is running from the pack then into my ear monitors. I’m wondering if instead of sending the signal from my pack to my in ears, I send the signal from my pack to the irig input, where the guitar icon is. From there I’m thinking I should be able to plug my in ear monitors into the headphone portion of the irig, and on the opposite end of the irig I have it plugged into my iPhone with the dongle. With this method I’m eliminating the “y” aka “splitter” cable. I’m thinking I should get output from the irig both into my iPhone camera app and my in ear monitors at the same time with that method.

Hi! So I feel kinda stupid for asking this, but I keep asking myself something.. Doenst the I-rig have a mini-jack aux output? I mean, I don't own one, so I don't know, but I spotted the headphone icon on the I-rig. So to me it seems like I'd just plug the I rig directly into my android phone, plug the jack from my in-ear monitor into the jack input on the I-rig, and then plug my in-ears into the mini jack aux output on the I-rig. But obviously I'm missing something here. Can somebody tell me what it is? Thanks!

In terms of the actual video capture with the audio coming from the iRig (like the video you tagged at the end) - do you just set it all up and then go to your Camera and hit record? It sounds great!

Does anyone know if this will work with an original irig?

    • @Theryanprim
      @Theryanprim  ปีที่แล้ว

Yes it should! You just will need to test this out for the gain aspect because you do not have a gain knob on the irig 1.
So whenever you are listening on your pack or in ear monitor try lowering the volume
Record on your phone with all the same attachments and then check to see if it’s distorting or not.

      More than likely yes

What if your IEMs are connected to a wireless pack? We have Allen & Heath ME-1s and it does have the headphone Jack in the back. Could you use something like a Go Pro and run that into the headphone Jack on the ME, while still using the wireless IE pack? I’m not that tech savvy 😊
