We thought we saw larger butterflies too. The research we did for the video said there is a huge Cut Worm Moth migration this time of year, but there definitely were butterflies mixed in.
I haven't had a Bitburger since I was in stationed in Kaiserlautern, GE. in the Army. That was one of my fave beer. I enjoyed the hefeweizen beers the most. I still have a Bitburger pils glass I bought back. Thanks for your service!

We rode motorcycles through those nasty critters more Than I can say!, our bodies were covered, we use the “bounce” and they do work well. You are now in my backyard-...we moved to the Rio Grande Valley two years ago from the San Antonio area.
I stayed at that park two years ago and it was terrible, it appeared to be abandoned and left unattended. Some of the weeds were three feet high and sticker burrs by the thousands.
Our 34th anniversary was Oct 3rd. Congratulations to you both! Wish I could see more of those waves, and better yet be out in the water! We love your video's!

Oh, and those are Snout-nosed butterflies on their annual migration. It is estimated that over 6 billion of them migrate annually. Keep your great videos coming!
Hate to say this but you had it made on the river trip with Covid. The year we were there they had so many people crammed on our boat we were miserable! On a better note Happy Anniversary!

Your park was closed for renovations when we were there in August. Stayed next door at KOA. There's Pier 19 there that also has a restaurant. Get a cinnamon roll for breakfast. They're AMAZING!

I use to drink BBK When I was in K-Town 72-74...I'm old. Congratulations on your anniversary! The river walk boat tour looks like fun. I will have to check that out. What month were you there? And how bad was your radiator with bugs? Just a note, I put an old t-shirt over my ladder to keep it off the paint.
Hi Tim. We drove through just last month. The radiator was fine. Our ladder has rubber bumpers that help protect the paint, but thanks for the t-shirt tip.
So, in the fall of 2019, about 24 minutes after my B proposed to me, we ended up at that SAME location because we really wanted a big pretzel. That had been our thing when we were dating...pretzels and cheese (we are from Wisconsin, doncha know). Our waitress was lovely and when she learned that we JUST got engaged, she gave us a triple chocolate German cake and a small Champagne on the house. It was so amazing! And my now hubs (yep, we still got married the weekend after the WI shutdown)...always wants a Bitburger. Such a great vid...thank you!
I was in K- town, GE from Oct 87 to Oct 89, 1 month after I got married, went the Ft Bragg for 18 months. After Operation Desert Storm in 91, I went back to K-town, GE, my wife re-upped there, I was there from 91 to 94. Then Clinton kicked me out with his 1 million soldier reduction of forces in Europe. I had almost 9 yrs in, wanted to retire.
