ha! do not get me started on quick hitch faults... I remember driving all the way to Southampton from Sunderland to a komatsu that wouldn't release its bucket, asked the driver about 20 times was he using it correctly as the komatsu's always needed the switch flicked then the button on joystick too just like that doosan.. "Yeah yeah mate i know what im doing ive operated machines longer than you have been alive..." Needless to say i don't think his boss was very happy paying for my 12 hour round trip after i showed him how to use it 😆 Enjoy the vids keep up the good work 👍
Just out of interest Ali, I know it’s mostly before your time, but what did fitters and technicians do before they had the benefit of fault codes and the ability to plug a lap top into the system? Were machines and their systems so much simpler that it was easier to make an accurate diagnosis, or was it a case of just changing parts until a fix was found? Great channel dude 👍
To be honest yea if it over heats it’ll be a fan belt off blue smoke burning engine oil white smoke head gasket gone black smoke to much fuel no power fuel filters 😂 depends how far back you go to be fair but you still need that foundation the laptop guides you if you use it properly it’s easy to be overwhelmed with the information on it
Only carried about 5 fuel fitters......did just about everything....if I didn't have a Perkins 1000 in it be a Lister...... Awwww life was so much easier and very little electric. And as for bad injectors, crack pipe on each injector till you found duff one, wipp it out nip to local repair place wait for referb pay£10-20 refit and all done Must greener and cleaner.
I've also had the Nox low effeciency error on a Perkins before, Checked a few things and everytime after a day the error would come back. It turned out the Adblue Injector had filled the muffler with DEF. Couldn't see it from the outside but after putting an endoscope in it I could see it.
I know what you mean we have had the same problems it’s a bad code to get to the bottom of like I say you cant see what the Nox sensors are reading and you can’t easily see inside the mixer tube to see if it’s blocked
One of my many gripes about the DEF system on my car is it doesn't tell you what its doing and you have zero control over it. Why is there not a page telling you how long until it does a regen cycle and why is there not a button so you can start the cycle when it due. That way you would be able to hit the motorway, click start, and just keep your foot down until it done its thing. Just had to replace one of the Nox sensors and it was £660!
Ahh I like to do everything on my phone it’s easier and quicker to edit and upload I think if I had a go pro I’d have another battery to charge put the footage onto a laptop then put phone footage onto a laptop etc maby gaffa tapes phone to my head 🫣🤣
As for adblue crap.......ok if you have owner op, or 1man on same machine. In hire game it's a f###### nightmare......coz they don't care and get alsorts of faults and not having software to match all our different makes and models we are FUBAR. Really starting to think of another area of work......
@@alisdiggerdiary easiest job in the world , I did cars for 15 years until I was 30 then trucks till I was 52. Plant now and its by far the easiest but most fulfilling.

Sounds about right 😂 I’m sure that machine does have a problem but you know your self where do you start if it’s working as it should 🤷♂️

Things were more reliable before Add blue came along far more problematic now very time consuming and costly do you think Ali
