Dorival is an excelent coach. Too bad people from outside the country doesn't know his story. He gets broken clubs and bring them back to shape, winning titles. He did it time and again, accepting tasks that most would refuse. Brazil is in transition now, leaving Neymar Jr. behind as the "owner, finally. You can't expect them to be a machine after 5 or 6 games, and blame one guy for bad results (after a tie). Especially because there is nothing better to do with this squad for now. Finally I went to watch competitive football game in stadium yesterday initially to see Brazil play but Stadium was filled with70,000 fans surprisingly 60,000 of yellow were columbian .
The passion and energy that i saw from columbian fans was something of different level. Every passes were given oles and cheers and when brazil had ball boos and whistles were at extreme .
Added with 100 degree heat factor Brazil struggled. I will never forget this match for intensity and passion from Columbian fans .
Future for soccer (football) is shiny in USA.

Columbia were by far the better team. Toward the end they weren't even trying to attack and still created more chances than Brazil. Defensively Columbia were amazing. Brazil has (some of) the best attackers in the world and they couldn't get close to the goal for the most part. Sometimes I don't know what these guys are watching. It's hard to believe they actually played at a high level with some of their bad takes. I think they either just see what they want to see or see what their Twitter feed says they should see. It's been the same thing with their Euro's coverage.

The problem with brazil is you have a coach who doesn't really know what he is doing and just puts his hopes like if he was a fifa player just throwing speedy players and hoping for the best. You don't start a #9, paqueta is your "best" 10 so playmaker rodrygo is not that guy. He's best as a super sub and has mainly failed ti produce when ancelotti plays him in the striker role since he likes to drift out. And sadly this is one of the worse brazil generations out but again this falls on the coach; you have Danilo as your captain and starting rb why not just move militao to rb and start Bremer? You don't have a good holding midfield that can distribute and when the going gets tough it's just let me sub out x person and throw a winger and then throw out endrick praying he does something but everyone knows a good striker needs good service or their just an extra man just running around. Best example is harry kane at the euros rn. Brazils coach is just another Southgate.

Just a side note on the diving aspect, we also have to realize this is a high intensity match, and this results into more players on the ground. Its just inevitable at this type of game, what we can discuss is what type of actions should be considered diving

Brazil is far from what it used to be from the days of Kaka, R9, Dinho, R.Carlos, Robinho and players like that. Neymar ( who's not playing), Vini. Junior, Raphina it's just nothing. There will come a time when Brazil will phenomal talents again but that may take some time. For now? It ain't happening. The problem with Brazil is the team selection. Militao, raphina, the Newcastle guy, Danilo and paquetta should not be in the starting 11. Endrick and salvinho are getting only 5 minutes of game time despite being the best dribblers and more creative players in Brazil's attack.
Can Brazil beat Uruguay without Vinicius? Debatable. They haven’t been great even with him so far. Uruguay look far more balanced and playing well. They won’t be going into the game fearing Brazil.

Columbia plan was to wear Brazil off and they did that perfectly. Now Uruguay and Brazil will wear each other out making the winner easy to beat for Columbia in the semi final. I think Columbia will make it to the final if they avoid going extra time and injury. Uruguay already have a major injury

Brazil does have similiar issues to England or English team. Good players but poor coaches! Brazil was better with Tite the coach they had in Qatar 2022 world cup. They should keep him even though he did not win the world cup. However, it is ok. Those situations happen to any team. Coaches come and go , you need to adapt to new situations until getting better! Brazil has a lot of problems that have shown absolutely no signs of being resolved anytime soon. Given their current form, they didn’t really have a chance at beating Colombia yesterday who are on fire at the moment and have gone 26 games undefeated in international football and with their failure to score a goal against Costa Rica despite their 4-1 win over Paraguay, they now to have a high flying Uruguay team in the quarterfinals and they have themselves to blame for the way in which they’re playing and it doesn’t help that Vinicius Junior is suspended for that game. We’re not used to seeing this team finish 2nd of a group in major tournament and go into an important game being seen as the underdogs and it’s telling you everything about the current state of the team right now.
When Ronaldinho said that “he’s not supporting the team and they have a bunch of average players and he can’t take it anymore”, he’s not wrong with the boring brand of football they play and how they’re not as attractive as they used to be as they’re a bunch of individuals that look lost has no tactics whatsoever even R9 said that he would rather watch tennis than football and obviously this hasn’t been the wake-up call for this team. You can’t really blame these guys for what they’re saying, they’re not wrong. Brazil have been struggling in the buildup to this tournament and they haven’t been playing well at the Copa América and when you’re a team that’s lacking a creative midfielder, proper fullbacks and don’t have a recognized striker who are you gonna score goals and actually win games against teams you should be beating. It’s rare to see them on such a bad run of form and yes you still don’t want to count them out regardless, but on a gamely basis we don’t know which version of Brazil is going to show up. They’re a team that’s all over the place and maybe them being underdogs against Uruguay is a good thing as that takes the pressure off of them as they know that since people are writing them off, maybe that could benefit them, unless I see some changes, they’re going out since they’re not playing well.
