Loved the puns! Long time ago in what seems another life I had someone introduce me to "Pun Scrabble" and it was the most fun I ever had playing Scrabble. I think the puns were part of the reason I watched this whole video even though I had watched all the original sections as they were posted. :P Well that and I luv you guys and Art Resin!! - Heidi
What was brand of resin you all used or does that matter? And how long does it take the resin to cure before you go to next step? Thanks love the video and clock. We are trying to make one like this out of cedar wood.
Hello Aretha! We used our product ArtResin Epoxy Resin. ArtResin has a cure time of 24 hours to the touch and 72 hours for a full cure. Please visit www.artresin.com for pricing and our FAQ :)
Thanks for sharing this, it came just at the right "TIME" for me as I have the resin and piece of wood but lack the know how. I made a cross out of a piece of rotten wood with led inside but it snaped in two taking it out of the mould, I wasn't sure if I could put more resin on cured resin but you've answer that too :)
Glad it was helpful for you! And yes, you can most definitely add more resin to cured resin, as long as you sand in between coats so the fresh resin has something to adhere to.
Time is an Illusion!! BEAUTIFUL. These are the projects that I am about to start. Thank you so much. Is Artresin any cheaper than the 2 part resins? Thanks again.
Hey Greg - yes, that was our final coat and to make sure it turned out absolutely perfect, we put a cover on top to protect it from dust or insects or anything else floating in the air that might settle into the wet resin. You should always cover your resin pours until they're dry to the touch!
Wikipedia at a guess. The origin of the nickname Big Ben is the subject of some debate. The nickname was applied first to the Great Bell; it may have been named after Sir Benjamin Hall, who oversaw the installation of the Great Bell, or after English heavyweight boxing champion Benjamin Caunt.
Love the clock puns! Love this video!

ArtResin is a 2 part Epoxy Resin you can view our products at www.artresin.com
Why did you cover it after you applied the resin on the back??
hey greg - how do you mean, covered it? we applied several coats of resin - which part in the video are you referring to?
You did you final poly coat to the clock then place a cardboard box over the clock while it was drying

Why you just don't use a hand router to make this hollow place for clock mechanism?!
Great suggestion! We just used the tools we had :)
Nice products but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much talking and not enough working!
What was all that about big Ben...?
LOL.
