      Before round 9 most people were having a hard time finding rounds to give Usyk. At most you could only give 2. I was rooting for Usyk. And I felt like Fury was running away with it. To the point that I felt the only way Usyk could win was by knock out.
      After the knockdown the narrative changed. With people now saying it was hard to give more than four rounds to fury.
      The fight was very close. It’s a round by round Scoring. Don’t forget that.

Also, Usik is dedicated to both sport and family, it's not his top priority to study and honestly saying he do not tend to do this like Klitchko brothers (and unfortunately). He is a very nice person and intelligent fighter with predator instinct, but it seems he intentionally sacrificed some boring self-development aspects to develop more life-being (for him) skills.

  • @1Deep43VA
    @1Deep43VA 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +150

    I got Rounds 1 and 2 as Usyk.
    I believe Round 3 is Usyk but for arguments sake let’s give to Tyson.
    Rounds 4 through 7 are Tyson.
    So that’s 2 - Usyk 5- Tyson.
    Round 8 is Usyk.
    Round 9 is Usyk +1 for the knockdown.
    That brings us to 5 - Usyk, 5- Tyson
    Round 10 and 11 Usyk.
    Round 12, debatable but I give to Tyson.
    That leaves us with 7 - Usyk, 6 - Tyson
    So even with being generous to Tyson, Usyk won.
    Not ONLY that BUT, Round 9 should’ve been a stoppage. That should’ve been ruled a TKO.
    It wasn’t. But even by the COUNT, Tyson lost, had the ref counted correctly.
    By every standard measured, Usyk won IMO

    • @alextoumazou2812
      @alextoumazou2812 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +12

      Completely agree but I gave Round 12 to Usyk. Had it not been a historical undisputed fight, the ref would have stopped the fight in the 9th or allowed Usyk to keep punching till Tyson was out cold.
      Not to mention that by every measure of how you score rounds, outside of rounds 4-7 Usyk was better. Usyk displayed better head movement and footwork consistently throughout, he was dictating the pace, he was cutting the ring off and giving Tyson nowhere to go backing him up. Usyk was better defensively using his hand to block more of Tysons punches than Tyson was doing to block him. The stats show the punnches thrown vs landed ratio was massively better for Usyk and overall Usyk landed more punches and more power punches. Usyk clearly won, the second ref was shocking giving that to Fury. Usyk was robbed of an UD at the very least

    The shift in the fight didn't happen in R9, it happened in R8 when Usyk messed up (broke?) Fury's nose. Fury kept touching his nose like it was broken, I doubt he will admit if it's broken, but that's what opened him up to get KO'd in R9 and subsequently saved by the ref. Usyk Should just retire now, his story arc is complete, and this win has catapulted him into the P4P top 3, the guy fought killers all the way to the top, no record padding, cleared out 2 divisions to become undisputed, and undefeated. After a stoppage from Usyk "dropping" Fury, the referee picks up where the assigned ring side "counter" is at in his count (WHich starts soon as Fury hits floor or ref steps in) As soon as ref knew Usyk was in neutral corner he looked at ring side counter, saw his finger count and picked up at 3 or maybe 4 in the count (Refs fingers as he starts count shows where he is) Those are the rules for boxing regarding count time.

    • @wondays654
      @wondays654 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      In addition the rules also specify a 10 count and while it is ridiculous, there is no time limit on the count. People say 10 seconds but that is not what the rules say. It simply says the ref should administer a 10 count, the length of the count is not specified.

    Little obscure boxing lore here. The ten count does not actually start when he goes down, it starts when the opponent returns to his corner. This rule was invented because what would happen, is that a boxer would go down, and his opponent would just loom over him and knock him back down the millisecond his knee left the canvas. The other oddity about the "ten count" is that nothing says that this has to be done in seconds, only that the referee gives a count to 10.

    • @alextoumazou2812
      @alextoumazou2812 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      A ten count is a a ten second count. Don't be naive. It may not specifically say seconds in the rules but that is what the refs have to work towards.
      If they didn't work towards ten seconds then the counts would cause controversy because the length would differ from referee to referee and from fight to fight. So they do work towards ten seconds, some of the refs are just biased and drag it out longer than they should.

    • @JaysArtJourney
      @JaysArtJourney 24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

Big juiced up Alistairr Overeem with them chunky muscles fancied this wrestly move especially. Having the raw muscle mass to dominate the hand fight as well as the power to let the follow up leave quite the impact. I think there was a prime example in one of his most recent fights against Badr Hari.

In the rematch i'd like to see Tyson jab and swivel out of the corner with far more urgency and recreate that distance.

    Good video but it annoys me when people don't understand the 10 count is not a bloody timer!

      Should be. Boxing is a circus and one of the least legitimate sports. Modern boxing makes MMA look clean and refined.

    Count doesn't start until other fighter is in the neutral corner. It was about 9 seconds when Tyson was saying he is ready.

    Js started muay thai as a shorter fighter (5'5). How can i close distance and move inside without using much head movement.

      I’m pretty new to Muay Thai (1-0) and I recommend learning to create a void sometimes using long guard and teeps against bigger guys. but to close the distance, definitely use leg kicks and parry their punches and keep punching the body

    Hey DJ, wondering your thoughts on why nobody has not tried to emulate your flying armbar
    You literally created something that seems indefensible. Just curious of your thoughts
