He's fucking amazing live as well. I mean you have to be pretty amazing to play for not just ATR but also Babymetal. Say what you will about Babymetal but the drum work on their tracks are insane as well

Fun fact: All That Remains and Killswitch Engage formed in towns that were about 10 minutes from each other in Massachusetts (Springfield, MA and Westfield, MA respectively.) And about an hour away from where I live.
It’s really cool living somewhat close to towns that house some of the most prolific names in Metalcore history.

I lived in Westfield for 8 years from 2006 to 2014. I was introduced to both of these bands at that time! As Daylight Dies and The Fall of Ideals are still favorites of mine.

Fun fact: I was supposed to see ATR frontman fill in for killswitch engage when Howard was sick or something in Fargo ND. But then I smoked a pinche in the parking lot and went to jail. Not a fun story but quite funny

btw Nathan and Johnny Killswitch Engage announced last year when i looked on there Wikipedia page yesterday that they might finally be releasing a new album some time this year about fricking time it will be there 1ST new album since Atonement in 2019

Heres my opinion about Jason filling Oli's shoes. Ive been an ATR fan since about '07 and once the news of Oli's passing hit in 2018, i was about convinced there wouldn't be any new material from these guys again. So then Divine releases and shocked me and I listened to it and loved it. After that, Phil goes "Drinks with Johnny" with Johnny Christ of A7X, great podcast, huge recommend if you like podcasts. There Phil said, and if my crap memory serves, If Oli wanted anyone to replace him, its Jason

To be fair, the band lost Oli and this was a great chance to express an emotion that isn't just anger.
As a fan, I experienced a tremendous grief and sorrow, and I can only imagine those feelings are magnified considerably in the actual band.
"Reach for your hand as you suffocate" is heartache, given how Oli passed 😢
