Under-flips are using body rotation to complete part of the flip. A back-flip is rotating on a horizontal axis. SKlNS he means that Max Parrot is the kind of rider that only cares about the amount of flips and spins without caring about style, but i actually think he’s not that bad, he is for sure pushing the athletic side of the sport much more than many others. When torstein landed the First triple at xgames he didn’t receive all the hate Max is getting, probably cause he looked like the typical laidback snowboarder and had a “bro steeze“, Max is a little bit stiffer. It’s kind of the same thing that happened to shaun white, that in a short period of time became the evil of snowboarding because he looked too focused on getting results in competition rather than having a good time. Personally I enjoy slow steezy rotations better than quad flips, but i admire both sides of our sport. Sorry for the rant 😄
Shaun White became the "evil guy" because he clearly stated he was not interested in the snowboard community as a whole, but rather himself and his own results. That's fine and dandy, but why make a point of it. You're in it to win it? Cool. There's no need to downplay something that's considered a very important aspect by many. It just comes off as arrogant. Now, I don't care how the guy explains his views on the sport, but that sort of shit rub a lot of people the wrong way.
