now that this comp is basically all 1800s, it's somewhat disengaging to watch honestly. Marcus's front triple was the coolest looking trick of the night because it wasn't the same as all the others.
No disrespect to any athletes, what they do is borderline impossible but for me these competitions became mehhh... So many spins in all directions you can't really follow them, sometimes a huge 720 with a grab has more style than an 1800, might be one of the reasons knuckle huck is so popular. But maybe that's just me, nonetheless the feats are incredible.
I was a huge skier growing up. Got bored. Snowboarded for 6 years and just got annoyed with the spin scores! Literally threw my snowboard away because spins are LAME
Watch the Women's, way more landed tricks, more grab variety, and double corks just look better than quads. all of this years women's competitions were fantastic.
I’m remember playing cool boarders 1 on the original PlayStation and landing 1800s and thinking “impossible, this game is so unrealistic.” And now here we are.
Mad respect for all the rider. But as much as love snowboarding, this get old pretty quick. With all the spins and flip, competition snowboarding leans more and more toward olympic freestyle skiing with tight suits and steer away from the style, soul and its characters. With the "more spins, more points" approach, I'm sure that the sport is now more easy to follow for the non-core audience but it must be harder and harder for the competitors to enjoy training and spending a whole year to learn to spin an extra 180 after their 1800.
how impressive, spin more do less style win contests.. what a waste of time, next time i want to see some snowboarding class i guess i'll look up Nicholas Muller or Gigi Ruf and really be amazed in stead of pissed off even typing this somewhat angry comment.. 😂🤣
These athletes/artists are supernatural and I applaud them all !!

Marcus the only rider to really change the direction of snowboarding
Shaun White up there too
@@RealEastCoastJ good one
That’s an absurd statement there’s been so many shredders who have changed the game
What about dusty?
Zeb erasure
No floating 180's?
Man’s snowboarding big air is on another dimension right now! 🎉🎉
MK slingin the fattest heat these days holy cow that man is eating some Scandinavian super food or something

Shredbots has lots of videos if you want to watch style.
They need a best 180,360,540 contest, maybe jam format on a line of 3 jumps to save time and make it more fun to watch.

@@givemeajackson that’s kinda funny
just imagine this like 15 years ago. the level of this has just become ridiculous
My son's first snowboard. He likes it a lot. We use it on the hill in our backyard, so nothing serious or hardcore.
Awesome
I watch this and I have no reaction my brain is like nah this isnt possible you didnt just see that
Can we just reflect on progression, how a sixteen barely makes it into the highlight reel!!!

When is snowboard knuckle huck?
4:30 pm
Anyone else get dizzy watching this?
Spins are impressive but get boring to watch because they all feel the same. The creativity of the knuckle huck is more engaging and fun to watch
Dusty should have scored Way higher
Should just call it 360 showdown..
Who won?? 😂
高回転の時代も凄いけどやっぱスタイルは昔の方がかっこいいな~ みんな同じ回し方で回ってるだけ。

Marcus - NO STYLE at all , imo
its cool but in skieing and snowboarding these contest are spin to win.
