I grew up in the Chicago area and the Pumpkins were my favorite band in highschool (I was a freshman when Siamese Dream came out). Watching this video reminds me that we all get older, but those special memories stay with us. Thank you Billy Corgan for the music you've brought to my life.
The indescribable moments of your life The impossible is possible tonight Believe, believe in me Believe in me because I believe in you! ❤❤❤❤ This was the first song played at my wedding reception. Oh what a night! What a dance! The marriage ended painfully. But indeed, it was a perfect day, and the right decision at the time.
This is the song that made me go out and buy Mellon collie and infinite sadness all those years ago. It was a double album and wasn't any more expensive than any single disc offerings from other artists. Thanks for that Smashing Pumpkins
I remember having this track on CD. It was one of those favorites in the 6 cd carousel.. I never thought I'd lose that feeling of magic& enchantment when it came to music. I never thought the songs of my youth would hold such strong emotions. Life happens so fast.
Still coming back after all this years. Became a pumpkins fan in the early 90s, around 94. To this day probably my all time favorite band. Pure beauty this song is ....
It's a shame that being that passionate did have negative effects on the band. He drove D'arcy off and can still be a cunt at times. Credit where it's due though, Corgan is talented as hell.
@@travzimmerman1340 He as a unique voice that brilliantly suits his amazing songwriting talent...you dont have to have even a good voice if you write songs that connect with millions his voice is an aquired taste but a taste that millions have aquired quite happily.
Youngest of five my oldest brother sister grew up listening to the music of 60s 70s my other sister and brother listened to the music in the 80s , but I was the lucky one growing and listening to the music in the 90s
All of us who remember this song from when we were young, yeah, we have more life behind us than we do ahead, OMG, we are all going die!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhhh
Seeing them Friday in St Paul as I did a few years ago (it was the greatest concert EVER). I was just out in your beautiful city 2 weeks ago, otherwise (because I was SO tempted) I might've driven out there to see them the night before Halloween 🎃 like you got to. How cool that James dressed up as a mummy! 😀 Only one audience gets THAT show!
They have improved so much in recent years. I hear so often that SP fell off live a while back. I went to this show and was blown away. They still have huge energy and Billy did amazing staying in key and showing that he still cares about giving a people a good show. It can't be about the money for these guys.
I agree! I just saw them a week ago in St Louis on this tour, they were great! I saw them back in 2007 and it was very lackluster. I'm so glad I saw them again and they completely redeemed themselves!
The acoustic version is far more beautiful than the original, and even at that, the original is stunning! What a testament to the songwriting abilities of the Pumpkins
Great sound.. memories huh lol. A carload of us saw the pumpkins on the Mellon collie tour in Louisville KY. Garbage was opening and wasn't too bad.. just my likes u know. Went for the pumpkins and wasn't disappointed. Youth brings stupidity too because it was a 4 hr drive to the show but 6 going back lol. Lots o' cheap beer and "other things". Grown a little and wouldn't want to be in that predicament agsin driving thru a couple states buzzing hard. Anyway.. yeah..topic lol. Pumpkins is the soundtrack of my youth.

I grew in Russia, Western Siberia, and the Pumpkins were my favourite band in highschool
The 90s....... What a great time to be coming of age... -From your neighbor in Wisconsin.
I grew up in Scotland and I don't give a fuck
True words 👍 …grew up with the pumpkins on my side… Greetings from Germany !
Ya…..me too
it’s always great to see billy and iha play together after all these years
Why is Iha dressed like Jacob Marley’s ghost?

2:02 Billy cracking a smile. This is the most wholesome thing. Great song. Definitely got the tears welling up.
The most important band of my youth and next year I'm going to see them live for the first time after almost 24 years!
Me too🎉
More than 20 years have passed and this song continues with magic .... Gob bless Billy
A timeless classic tune, for sure

Depressing to see how they have aged…..it reminds me how I have trained. But man his voice is the exact same! If not better
@@BillyT886 he has a distinctive vocal and a rare talent that man
The value for money was pretty good for that double album. And even better, the music was good
Melloncollie is the 90s white album
Both disc's are great. Such a great band, different sounds and still solid.
Even after all this time...still giving me the same chills when I was 18. One of my favorite songs, ever.

Tonight, Tonight my favourite song ❤
This was my first pumpkins concert! My favorite band and my favorite song!
Wow. I haven’t heard this song in 20 years. His voice is still amazing. Looks like a great show.

Awesome to see Corgan's authenticity still in front of every song he plays.
Caught this in San Antonio. To hear this grand acoustic version and with those visuals! What a feeling! I may or may not have been a bit verklempt.
p.s. Totally want a wall of these graphics in my house.
Love these guys! They got me through my 20’s
Flew from Boston to Milwaukee to see this show and the city. What a weekend
I've always love how he enjoy everything he does. Billy you're a rockstar!!! He plays with his soul.
🤘🏻
It's a shame that being that passionate did have negative effects on the band. He drove D'arcy off and can still be a cunt at times. Credit where it's due though, Corgan is talented as hell.
🎃🔨 Absolutely fantastic! Soooooooooo talented and iconic!!! Their songs absolutely ruled the 90s and they still sound great!!! Pumpkins RoCk, rocK oN!
Tuve la oportunidad de escucharlos por México, descripción: saturacion de emoción por tan gran momento y espectáculo.... larga vida a los SP
Whats with freemason badge on his chest?
I saw them for this tour at the Spectrum in Philly, PA in July 1996. Still have the tour T-shirt
Beautiful to see James and Billy together again, after they almost didn't talk for a decade! ☺️🤘🏻
Still one of my all time favorites.
Still as brilliant as ever. Haven’t lost a beat. 🥹
Nice to see James having fun
He was definitely having fun during this show.
When I bought this album, Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness, I went Temple U, Philadelphia PA as a foreign student from Japan. Good old days.
I love at the two minute mark when Billy nails “tonight” Crowd screams and he nods…….pure joy.
I was there and it was a kickass concert!
I am sending a heartbeat from Poland. Thank you for all the memories and emotions with your music in the background
🤘🏻
Всегда слезы где-то рядом от этой песни, дьявол! еще с какого-то 1999г
TSP soon for Argentina with your excellent music
He went full uncle Fester. Awesome song!
Takes me straight back to Brighton 1996 and our house mate and old friend, also called Bill, who had The Pumpkins CD on repeat. 🙏
🤘🏻
Amazing talent.
His voice is still amazing even after decades!!!
3 decades to be precise .
@@BlueHopi144 that would be four decades he started in the 80s so the 80s 90s 2000s 2010s

Speak for yourself;)
after 20 years.. i still enjoy this more than mainstream of now
That's pretty easy to do. Mainstream has been garbage for at least the last 10 yrs.
This is AS GOOD as the original, Billy has made the necessary changes for singing it after decades of screaming but it works.
If you’re gonna change the song when playing it live, this was the way to do it.
Great bands will cover Smashing Pumpkins for years to come.
I can’t believe how good this sounds!

I love this song.
Absolutely killer tune.
Just saw them live in Detroit, really great show..

Much better than any of those you mentioned!
