Dope vid dude! Learning wheelies is all about consistent practice. Getting out for even 15-30 minutes / day over time is going to help a ton more than practicing for say 4 hours once per week. I've gotten pretty good at wheelies on my supermoto and it's just been from practicing a shitload and getting seat time. Definitely hoping to build a razor similar to your soon and hopefully make some sweet videos on it as well. Subbed to see more!
thanks man! I 100% agree, 20 minutes a day all compounds together and helps sooo much with the muscle memory & not getting frustrated. Definitely build up a Razor dude you’ll love it!!
Clicked the video to learn how to wheelie. Then saw you in bellingham, I just moved away from there. That pump track is awesome! and sweet location by the water and beer garden
Heyy great vid, you got a lot of progress for 7 days one tip that i think would really help you is getting a full grip of the throttle, take the finger of the front brake when doing wheelies and you’ll have better control of the accelerator
that’s honestly a great idea i’ll try that - got in the habit of covering the front brake because my old controller was so sensitive. Thanks for the tip
Bro your killin it for only 7 days! And your 3 fingering the throttle with one on the front brake still your nuts lol. We all have those off days, its always best to take a step back start back from the begining and your confidence back up and youll be back at is asap 👌 my best advice is try not to chase it so fast try to keep it slow and drop back farther and farther, youll be suprised how far back past balance point you can go. Once you figure that out youll be holding it for daysss. Like most people say it will click one day! Dont sell yourself short bro your already right there 🤘
i appreciate it so much man!! Since filming that last clip i’ve gotten waaay farther back and feel more comfy holding much longer - still with three fingers 😎 Always inspired by your vids my guy keep it up
Man, a finger on the front brake the whole time is nuts, you must have some killer grip lol Quick tip, extend your arms, lock your elbows, and lean back. I find that the balance is a lot more consistent every time. Once you get comfortable, you can start dancing around lol
@@JonnyDuzzit right! Thats what im saying lol i try covering the front brake for when i try stoppies to wheelie transfers and its so damn hard lol. Definitely agree with locking your elbows straight and leaning way back, that helped me so much when i first started and got me comfortable with my internal gyro. After that i was sitting up as far as i could and moving all over the place. Something about keeping all your weight to the back really helps with balance
i've been learning to wheelie for the past 2 weeks on an 1800 watt mx650 and its entirely about maintaining balance point. at least on the 48v 1800 watt its not got enough torque to power wheelie for more than 6 feet
Wheelies are 100% about maintaining the balance point, so you actually don’t need a ton of power especially on these tiny bikes - lower power will actually build better habits and smoother wheelies IMO :)
@@logan-taylor yeah after more practice I have found the 1800 watt razor for sure can wheelie just fine I just was doing it wrong, can wheelie great now that I learned how to balance it more.
congrats dude you’ll love it! I would say 15-30 minutes consistently a day is waaay more helpful than a couple hours every few days. It was probably 30 days before i really felt comfy with everything - learning on the surron is a bit more work because you have to yank it a bit harder, but totally doable.
are you lifting up the front end with your arms like a bmx or mtb bike? ..or are you using the torque of the bike to raise up the front end, if so how are you doing that? It would be very helpful for me if you could explain that aspect please.
Man our bikes so identical it's crazy. Red 4 pistons, no fairings, phone case, street tires, 72v / kelly. I just have chrome/polished wheels from a mx and my cafe racer seat. Lol.
That's a lot of power consumption. How often did you charge for how long? That thing looks like *so* much fun. We just got our electric motorcycle conversion done and I still can't record narration when riding for all the laughter. Yours has even moor hp/lb ratio!
That sounds awesome, we so many giggles per mile on these things! I only practiced like 20-30 minutes a day to challenge myself, so i think i only charged up 2 or 3 times throughout the week after starting with a full charge. Not too bad!
I think you should try going a little slower and putting a little more throttle and power into the pop to get into the balance point faster and not pushing into the balance point
I say 2 to start, it'll be easier to control the throttle and you'll learn quicker! Then down the road 3 will be toooons easier to adjust to as you get faster
@@logan-taylor ok good. i can only re-watch this one so many times. My wife already thinks im weird for modding up children's toys, now im watching grown men ride them with the videos on repeat haha
Ounce you get that balance point down you'll feel more comfortable rely on that rear brake watch for brake fade and pay attention to your brake pads letter rip dip tater chip
