I know the emotional heart of the scene is Pat and Tiffany, but it's REALLY beautiful how much Pat's relationship with his father heals over the course of the entire film.
William McCormick You can watch Silver Linings Playbook (2012) full movie here *fullmoviesnetwork(dot)pw/silver-linings-playbook-2012-full-movie/.* Thanks, Monroe.
I love how at the beginning of the movie she's chasing him and now he's chasing her. She even says the same "Leave me alone!" line like he did. Great movie!
As a guy, I found this to be one of the most romantic movies I've ever seen. The chemistry between Jennifer and Bradley was off the charts. I never fail to cry at this amazing scene where he finally reveals his true feelings for her.
Jennifer Lawrence's eyes are amazing in this scene, hard to explain in words, just so emotional and full of love for Brad's character, and so real with the tears, almost made me cry, she is so beautiful in this movie
Yeah even though he didn't get his ex wife back he found someone who really loves him. A new beginning of sorts. His wife was a scumbag anyway. It was hard to watch him being treated like the bad guy after multiple people wronged him.
This is a beautiful movie with an important message: You gotta take every opportunity that is presented to you while you have the chance and when it is right in front of you. And sometimes we all need that one person in our life who is going to show us that.
The important message is similar to what Tupac said in the song Me Against the World. "Throughout every dark night, there's a brighter day after that." - Tupac
I love how fucked up they both are, and the movie is trying to assert that it doesn't have to look like a fairy tale to be ok. Also Jennifer is so freaking beautiful in this scene, and in this whole movie
They were recognized. All 3 received Oscar nominations too, and the director David O. Russell as well. The other's didn't win though, but a nomination is definitely recognition.
+Branden Garcia To be honest, how much ever I ADORE this movie, I still feel that Cooper did a better job and also had a more extensive role than Lawrence. That said, I have yet to watch the other 'best' movies of 2012, to UNDERSTAND how in the fucking world, Cooper did not win this award! :O. Could that be, because of a single 'mistake' I saw in the movie! :O PS In the dance scene, he has his shirt out, but then tucked in, know about it. Watched this movie so many times, that if I go on watching, I might be able to watch it on mute, :3.
This is the ultimate love story. They two, are bat shit crazy, and while the movie develops, it doesn't allow you to fully relate with the characters... but then it comes the end, and even though they are still crazy, at this very last moment, almost two hours later, it is at the very last 3 minutes, when you click with the characters and you actually identify with them. Love is then, the only crazy feeling that we as humans share and it takes just a few minutes to relate and understand; that is I think, the message of this great film.
This is my favorite Father and son scene in a movie. A man’s Father telling him that a girl loves him for who he is and doesn’t care about his mental illness. And that if he doesn’t wanna listen to him fine. But not to ruin his chance at happiness with a girl that that loves him with all her heart and that life doesn’t always give you a chance at like this at true love and happiness with someone and that it’ll haunt him and he’ll regret it for the rest of his life if he doesn’t go for it.
This scene always hits me hard in the feels...From when he walks off the stage to chasing her down, and her asking "you love me"? Those eyes. Gets me every time. The heart just goes out to Tiffany. Its too perfect.
Yes! The way she says it... It's a woman who gave up on love and fairy tales and the dream of being truly happy, and she's put up all these walls to block people out. And then in that one split second she realizes what he's saying and all that is washed away and she feels pure, real, love coming at her for the first time in ages. She almost squeaks it out. It's so perfect.
***** it's about the love between 2 mentally deranged people. i love it because i have mental problems, too and it gives me hope! but to be honest, i like the novel better! have fun!
Not one of the greatest films of all time, but one of my personal favorites. The movie has some flaws, but it has a lot of heart. I'm okay with admitting that it's in my top five even though it's not in THE top five. :)
They look like real father and son in this scene. I believe part of the scene was is totally genuine, not acting at all. That's what makes it so beautiful. D.R.
Is it just me, or were Jennifer Lawrence's eyes really distracting and amazing in this film? There are certain scene where im amazed at how much emotion she portrays just through the expression in her eyes. Amazing *-*
I really love the chemistry between De Niro and Cooper as father-and-son.... It's all poignant and amusing at the same time.... And of course... Lawrence's chemistry with Cooper, it was strong till the very end..
i honestly think that this was a very unique ending to the complications of such a relationship. the plot overall was definitely atypical and insightful, but this scene had a very different toll on all the rest. it was basically the frosting to the cake :) well done to both the actors and the writer (s) ! :))
Love how through the whole movie it’s the Eagles the Eagles the Eagles, but when he saw Pat making a big mistake all he cared about was his son. Even Pats mom, brother and friend stood back because they knew he needed to hear that. Love this scene.
Aww man. When she asks him, "you love me?" And he says, "yeah, I do." And she responds, "ok." Was the best after he explains how that expression came about and it's like she's saying, you're cool, you're ok.
As a die hard Eagles fan, this movie is so special to me; knowing that Bradley Cooper is a die hard EAGLES fan and we won the Superbowl this year makes me rewatch this clips every time I'm on TH-cam.
Wooooooooooooooow what a romantic scene, very dramatic and beautiful, She really deserves to won the oscar she has it, Jennifer is SPECTAKULAR and BRILLIANT
This scene got my tears and I'm not used to cry because of a movie. But this scene, this entire film, were so real, so involving. So touching and emotional, even for a final chase cliché. Thanks for the emotions Mr. O Russell. Third time I watch it and it's always like the first.
This scene make me chills. Pat and Tiffany are so in love. Jennifer is so talented, the way she looks Bradley. Holy shit, so good. You must see this movie.
My favorite scene is the one where she’s yelling at him outside the movie theater. She’s showing her crazy and his starts to come out but she realizes what’s going on and reels him back in. Touching scene.
This scene is directly applicable to my situation right now with my girlfriend.. and it just spoke to me, I have to take the signs. Beautiful movie, thank you David Russell
This scene will go down as one of the all time classics. Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper are this generations Shirley McClain and Kevin Costner. Amazing performances.
“The only way to beat my crazy, was by doing something crazy yourself. Thank you. I love you I knew it the minute I met you . I’m sorry it took me so long to catch up. I just got stuck.” Best line in movie history.
He‘s a great dad, giving his son the guidance he needs in order to live a happy life. Unfortunately for a lot of us, our fathers didn’t do that. They provided for us and they of course loved us, but everything we know now is because we’ve learned through our own experiences, we’ve made mistakes without knowing it, and those mistakes haunt us. This is a father who loves his kid enough to not let him screw up.
de niro's line here is what got me when i first saw this scene, i mean the whole movie is absolutely amazing and all their performances are stunning, but this father-to-son moment blew my mind
One of the most beautifully romantic endings to a film I've ever seen makes me cry one of my favorite films Jennifer Lawrence was a well deserved winner for the oscar
I don't know why, but this scene always makes me cry. It gets me because I feel that, in reality, these two would never get together. She would love him and be heartbroken and he would continue to be dumb about not realizing she's great for him because no one would give him the speech his father does. I guess that's why I like the scene, because things do turn out happily for two people, for once, how they should. And the line "You wrote that a week ago?" always makes me laugh. I think it's JLaw's delivery.
"She would love him and be heartbroken and he would continue to be dumb about not realizing she's great for him because no one would give him the speech his father does." Hate to quibble, but I think that the speech his father gives him is more about showing the depth of his father's character than it is about Pat Jr. After all, he wrote that letter a week ago...although he may have taken too much time to tell Tiffany if his dad hadn't let him know that she'd run off.
I can relate to this movie, at 16 had this girl that would always be at my house before I would come home from school, we went to the same school but could not figure out how she always made it home before me. Being young, immature, uncertain, I just never opened up to her, later I found out she went on a camping trip with a few guys I knew, fancied them all and later got admitted, we never saw her again. At 16 she had DD breast, just practically a full grown women, but I felt she was not my destiny, I left that town and never went back. I always wished she ended up better.
deniro really sells the build up to a fantastic ending. jennifer lawrence slows plays the reactions to the letter.... takes a second look at cooper without rushing it. really quality acting here.
I like how after he confesses is love for her, instead of giving a long speech saying "You did this" and "I love you for this", Tiffany/Jennifer Lawrence just says "Okay" and then kisses Pat.
All my life other girls wanted to have princess fairy tales be their love story. I want this. I know it's crazy and idiotic but it's so realistic. I mean she loved him and he loved her, but he never knew it cause he wanted his old wife back. Then she doesn't want to see him so she runs and his father who never really was there stands up and gives him good advice to not let her go. So he runs after her and gives her a note that he loves her. Then they just click. And some people might think it's cheesy, but I think it's incredible. I mean they're both insane. He has bipolar disorder and she's crazy for him. That's how it usually starts, the girl falls for the guy, and the girl sometimes goes crazy for him and the guy is in love but never catches on until it's too late, but luckily he caught it before it was all over. He knew what he had to do, he had to choose between his old wife or Tiffany. He decides to choose the best answer that he was looking at but never really paid attention to what it was. Tiffany. This movie is incredible and I absolutely love it. It's the best romance I've seen.
I agree. My wife whom I met just within the last year and a few months has bipolar disorder. I came to the table with a lot of baggage too. Over the course of our time together she and I have been able to understand each other and know where we're both coming from because we were both "washed in the blood." We got married last June and continue to help each other grow past the past and together more and more. Sometimes wounded hearts and minds can come together and build something truly beautiful. :)
Exactly! We watched it in my humanities class and almost everyone in the class teared up-me included lmao
It's what every guy who grieves the father their father never was in their twenties wishes they'd had.
YES, absolutely. Such a beautiful movie all throughout.
Ehhh shut up that’s right excelsior belongs in this house.
I love how at the beginning of the movie she's chasing him and now he's chasing her. She even says the same "Leave me alone!" line like he did. Great movie!
He screamed "Hey!" just like she did at him in that first running scene as well.
I didn't pick up on that, great catch
Good catch.. i never noticed that
As a guy, I found this to be one of the most romantic movies I've ever seen. The chemistry between Jennifer and Bradley was off the charts. I never fail to cry at this amazing scene where he finally reveals his true feelings for her.
You're my kind of guy!
I cry too!
Jennifer Lawrence's eyes are amazing in this scene, hard to explain in words, just so emotional and full of love for Brad's character, and so real with the tears, almost made me cry, she is so beautiful in this movie
That's why she won her (well deserved) Oscar.
Ivan Walters tru
Ivan Walters I think you're right. There are always moments in the movies when you know the actor/actress won the Oscar. I think this was her moment.
I love how she is skipping away from him lol but really I love this movie it’s simple but has such a great impact on me
For me this movie means, no matter how screwed up you think you are from your past, you are still perfect for someone.
Wow inspirational

I love how fucked up they both are, and the movie is trying to assert that it doesn't have to look like a fairy tale to be ok.
Also Jennifer is so freaking beautiful in this scene, and in this whole movie
As a grown man I am not ashamed to admit that this scene made me cry.
+swaggs
It did me too. No shame.
Gay
This is serious the best realistic movie I seen in years. Jennifer deserved that oscar I wish Bradley, Robert, and Jackie were recognized tho.
They were recognized. All 3 received Oscar nominations too, and the director David O. Russell as well. The other's didn't win though, but a nomination is definitely recognition.

The chemistry between those two is special.

Christopher López brilliantly put
Christopher López bipolar does not mean people are crazy. It's a manageable disorder.....and they portray them both being off meds.
This is my favorite Father and son scene in a movie. A man’s Father telling him that a girl loves him for who he is and doesn’t care about his mental illness. And that if he doesn’t wanna listen to him fine. You gotta pay attention to the signs. When life reaches out to you like this it's a sin if you don't reach back.
The sweetest love story ever. Makes me cry every time I watch it.
This scene always hits me hard in the feels...From when he walks off the stage to chasing her down, and her asking "you love me"? Those eyes. Gets me every time. The heart just goes out to Tiffany. Its too perfect.
Awwww the way she said "you love me" was just Ahh SO ROMANTIC I LOVE THIS MOVIE !!

oh god! i'm addicted to this movie! i've been watching it for thousands times!
love the movie, love the song, love the actors
me, too. I had to get rid of the movie because it was getting ridiculous.
Me too i watched it 3 times in a day DON'T JUDGE ME
Found it the other day and for the love of all things holy I can't stop watching it
lol
***** it's about the love between 2 mentally deranged people. i love it because i have mental problems, too and it gives me hope!
but to be honest, i like the novel better! have fun!
Simply put - one of the greatest films of all time.
Not one of the greatest films of all time, but one of my personal favorites. The movie has some flaws, but it has a lot of heart. I'm okay with admitting that it's in my top five even though it's not in THE top five. :)
I meant one of my favorites too
@@Alternamaton one of the greatest films of all time doesn't it's a top 5 there's literally hundreds of thousands of films
I love this scene so much. Even out of context it's moving
God DeNiro is such a boss
Yeah, DeNiro drives this scene. Without his character and the way he delivers The Father Words the scene loses a lot of power.
They look like real father and son in this scene. I believe part of the scene was is totally genuine, not acting at all. That's what makes it so beautiful. D.R.
I did not know Robert De Niro is a God now 🤣
Is it just me, or were Jennifer Lawrence's eyes really distracting and amazing in this film? There are certain scene where im amazed at how much emotion she portrays just through the expression in her eyes. Amazing *-*
This scene> Every other scene ever
I really love the chemistry between De Niro and Cooper as father-and-son.... It's all poignant and amusing at the same time.... And of course... Lawrence's chemistry with Cooper, it was strong till the very end..

Truly beautiful. I missed my "sign" and I regret it every second of every day.
Grab it. Never take it for granted.
"The only way you could meet my crazy was by doing something crazy yourself."
Thank you I love you
I just love how it's him chasing her, when it was always her running after him on their jogs.
Love how through the whole movie it’s the Eagles the Eagles the Eagles, but when he saw Pat making a big mistake all he cared about was his son. Even Pats mom, brother and friend stood back because they knew he needed to hear that. Love this scene.
This is why I love movies. Best movie with the best actors.
i knew it the minute i met you. i'm sorry it took so long for me to catch up. i just got stuck. *SIGH&CRY*
Awww,
“I just got stuck.” Has to be one of the most honest, emotional and relatable lines a character has ever said.
Aww man. When she asks him, "you love me?" And he says, "yeah, I do." And she responds, "ok." Was the best after he explains how that expression came about and it's like she's saying, you're cool, you're ok.
The book was amazing but Brad and Jen really brought it to life amazingly!
This movie is everything omg I can't even begin to explain how much I love this scene🙈
One of the best movies of all time. Just perfect.
Great film.... great performances by the entire cast!! But this scene, man!! it had me choked up!!!
greatest love scene in the film. I was absolutely blown away. Great job jlaw and Bradley :)
As a die hard Eagles fan, this movie is so special to me; knowing that Bradley Cooper is a die hard EAGLES fan and we won the Superbowl this year makes me rewatch this clips every time I'm on TH-cam.
My favorite movie of all time. I have seen this countless times since it came out. It's a beautiful story
Manly tears just shed
my favourite scene from this film which is also one of my favourite films.
This scene just breaks my heart every time
Anyone else cry? Best movie so far on my list
This happened to me once ...only I didn't chase her....4 years later....hasnt been a day where I haven't thought of her.
Oh my, I'm so sorry, is there a way you can talk to her?
Wooooooooooooooow what a romantic scene, very dramatic and beautiful, She really deserves to won the oscar she has it, Jennifer is SPECTAKULAR and BRILLIANT
Deniro man. Hes the GOAT, even in silly little dramas and comedies.
This scene got my tears and I'm not used to cry because of a movie. But this scene, this entire film, were so real, so involving. So touching and emotional, even for a final chase cliché. Thanks for the emotions Mr. O Russell.
Third time I watch it and it's always like the first.
Love how she says ‘ok...’...
This scene makes me weep every time. It's beautiful.
I. Just. Got. Stuck.
Lovely.
This scene make me chills. Pat and Tiffany are so in love.
Jennifer is so talented, the way she looks Bradley. Holy shit, so good.
You must see this movie.
One of the most underrated films of all time this
Thank God for Jennifer Lawrence.
Now that's some sage fatherly advice from DeNiro.
"Don't fuck this up!"
My favorite movie scene ever.
I feel like this movie is so underrated. It's one of my favorites and this scene is just.. wow.
It is just so sweet and funny thewayshe says "you love me?....okay"
I wish somebody would've stopeed me and given me DeNiro's advice
It’s never too late.
It’s not always easy to know when life is reaching out to you. Especially in this day and age where there are more distractions than ever before.
DeNiros advice is words to live by
My favorite scene is the one where she’s yelling at him outside the movie theater. She’s showing her crazy and his starts to come out but she realizes what’s going on and reels him back in. Touching scene.
This scene is directly applicable to my situation right now with my girlfriend.. and it just spoke to me, I have to take the signs. Beautiful movie, thank you David Russell
I am completely in love with this scene!
One of the all time best father speeches. Ends with simply “don’t fuck this up”.
I'm 39 and've never been in love. I never will be. Some people are just inherently dislikeable. Be thankful if you're not.
Kale P god speed
This scene will go down as one of the all time classics. Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper are this generations Shirley McClain and Kevin Costner. Amazing performances.
I love this scene. This whole fucking movie
The way she asked "Do you love me" With a Shivering voice and tears in her eyes
It seemed so Innocent and child-like
Probably the best movie I've seen. I cry every time this comes on
I rarely watch "chuck flicks" but this one is amazingly done. Bradley and Jennifer are amazing actors. Would watch anything they make.
You mean "chick flicks"?! lol
Love how Tiffany didn't tell Pat some romantic crap in return. All she said was okay. That's all he needed to know.
“The only way to beat my crazy, was by doing something crazy yourself. Thank you. I love you I knew it the minute I met you . I’m sorry it took me so long to catch up. I just got stuck.” Best line in movie history.
This felt like a Frank Capra moment when I first watched this film, just the way it's shot with the music in the background, so beautiful...
Watch Jlaw's face right after he says I love you, starts to cry 😭
“When life reaches out you like this it’s a sin if you don’t reach back” ahhh man, truer words have never been spoken
He‘s a great dad, giving his son the guidance he needs in order to live a happy life. Unfortunately for a lot of us, our fathers didn’t do that. I love this movie, it gives me hope that even if you are somewhat broken you can still find love.
that‘s right
I memorize this whole scene and I love it so much. I love the acting and the attraction between them. I hope I can find love like that someday
I wrote that "about a week agooooooo"
its okay to cry guys..
de niro's line here is what got me when i first saw this scene, i mean the whole movie is absolutely amazing and all their performances are stunning, but this father-to-son moment blew my mind
best movie of 2012 without a doubt
I disagree. Django was the best and Argo was also better
bleghhh go back to the caverns from whence you came and come back when you've found some taste
Gramztoker and The Hunger Games
One of the most beautifully romantic endings to a film I've ever seen makes me cry one of my favorite films Jennifer Lawrence was a well deserved winner for the oscar
Manly tears were shed.
Me too Jack. I cried several times after watching it even though I knew what was coming.
They both deserved that Oscar.
I don't know why, but this scene always makes me cry. It gets me because I feel that, in reality, these two would never get together. "She would love him and be heartbroken and he would continue to be dumb about not realizing she's great for him because no one would give him the speech his father does."
Hate to quibble, but I think that the speech his father gives him is more about showing the depth of his father's character than it is about Pat Jr. After all, he wrote that letter a week ago...although he may have taken too much time to tell Tiffany if his dad hadn't let him know that she'd run off.
Alternamaton Good point. I thought of that later after writing that. Lol
i wish this scene could happen to me in real life
It can. Never give up and it will come when least expected.
This scene melts my heart
can I?
I can relate to this movie, at 16 had this girl that would always be at my house before I would come home from school, we went to the same school but could not figure out how she always made it home before me. loved his family and his shrink. my favorite scene was when he spits and she says "calm down, crazy" and then spits. she is so strong. great film
Best love scene EVER
That fast pull shot at the end was brillliant; different
Sundays? You kidding me? I love Sundays..
Sunday's can totally suck when you have no family and have lost the love of your life.
deniro really sells the build up to a fantastic ending. jennifer lawrence slows plays the reactions to the letter.... takes a second look at cooper without rushing it. really quality acting here.
I love the way he says, "ya just read it."
my absolute faforite love movie
I'd like to take this moment to thank Robert De Niro for inventing acting.
got to be one of the best all time romantic scenes in the history of cinema
I like how after he confesses is love for her, instead of giving a long speech saying "You did this" and "I love you for this", Tiffany/Jennifer Lawrence just says "Okay" and then kisses Pat.
The best scene of the entire movie hands down.
This is the best scene of the film
Father and son relationship
De Niro is boss
Then the romance
I think I cried lol
Love this film
I knew it the minute I met you x
Damn! This movie is the best!! One of my favorite scenes
that would have been a sin if he did not grab that girl and love her, cause that girls needs to be loved. and what a great love she would be.
