  • In 1841, when Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the energetic and visionary chief engineer of the Great Western Railway, constructed Templemeads Station, Bristol established its well-deserved position on the illustrious British railway network. Venture "off the beaten path" to explore Brunel's remarkable Clifton Suspension Bridge, then embark on a train journey from Templemeads to Plymouth, where you'll encounter the distinctive iron bridge that now serves as Cornwall's gateway.

I first heard of Brunel and his suspension bridge into Cornwall from Victoria Holt’s book Landower Legacy many years ago. I have never been to Cornwall therefore am Glad to see it from this film.
