Thank you very much for helping me the city of Seattle just put up this sign at where I used to park my semi truck for 14 years. I never had this problem until a bunch of RV and motorhome drivers parking here for several months and the city came and installed that. Unfortunately they are also saying you can not Park ten feet of the sign and if I am 10 ft away from it there's a fire hydrate near by that requires 15 ft which I think leaves me with no choice but to walk away from the parking. We have a lot of homeless problem in Seattle especially the ones driving old RVs. Thank you brother another truck driver here 😊😊😊😊😊
What does it mean if there is no arrow? Does it mean the whole road, until there is a break in the curb? And does a driveway indicate a break in the curb? Or just when the curb breaks for a side road or intersection?
How is it even possible for a truck driver to even have to deal with a no parking sign because if you look up the definition it means to not leave your vehicle unattended for a long period of time but if we're sleeping in it... is it considered parking since we never left the vehicle?
Right!! Frustrating. I actually just got a $200 ticket in Cumby TX the other night. $200!!! There were no parking signs at certain areas like the off ramp going in to the rest area and the on ramp leaving, but absolutely no signs where I was parked nose to tail in a line of maybe 6 other trucks. We were on the edge against the grass completely out of the way " not like you see alot of guys park length ways directly behind the trucks parked in the slotted designated parking spaces". We weren't in the drive, totally not impeding any through traffic. We all got ticketed. I'll pay the fine as I have more money than time for fighting it but I feel like it's really bs, I mean never before in 40+ years of trucking otr has there been such an issue with available safe truck parking as we see these days, epidemic proportions right? I'm sure we fell prey to a small town money grab, extortion type racket. Imagine the revenue for Cumby TX at $200 a pop, every night! Just isn't right at all. On the way back the next day, sure enough my clock was running low after waiting 4 hrs to get loaded in Ft Worth and wouldn't ya know I was set to run into that rest area again this time on the east bound side. It was early enough I was able to get a spot in the lines to lay for the night. I watched guys come in and literally line up directly in front of all the no parking signs and sure enough here come Cumby Police! That night before bed and the next morning before I took off I'm sure I watched these two cops site at least 20 trucks. They're making serious coin off those 2 rest areas. I get it, I mean if there's a sign posted then obviously don't park there. But if there's no signs then game on, right?? Nope, not there!!
So does that arrow indicate which side of the street you cannot park on? Or does It mean that whichever side of the street the sign is posted on you cannot park on that side?, between the two signs... I'm still a little confused and what about the no parking sign that has the arrow facing in both directions? Does that mean no parking on either side of the street I'm confused
Thanks. I was in Atl this weekend and got a ticket for parking behind the sign like you. I have to contest it and will use your video as an exhibit.
Appreciate that I'm not legal counsel though

Technically yes, but thats why there is no standing and no stopping signs that man no stopping of any kind.

Not the side of the street, which signs you can't park between
Not specified, 'no parking between red arrows'?
Thanks
