Exactly. I’ve heard TH-camrs suggest people sell their homes and belongings to leave US yet no mention or little mention of medical coverage. Thanks Brett. Thanks so much Brett
Thanks. a deal breaker definitely. Game changer or life changer. Very few TH-cam channels discuss this important manner. Their objectives seem to be cracking the rental & realty markets looking for commissions in the future or charging others a fee to introduce them to Mexico . Medical insurance from US or in Mexico is important and access to good medical care , nursing homes , assisted living. From what I am aware the average Social Security check is only 1750 USD and nursing homes cost more than that in the Lakeside area here. Or close to that Very interesting about auto insurance too.
most people end up paying out of pocket, and save money for emergencies And if you’re from the USA many people keep Medicare and fly back for care if needed or if it’s too costly in Mexico to pay out of pocket - for example surgeries or non life threatening treatments like Cancer
I am a retired US Army veteran and have Tricare for life. My employer is relocating me to Mexico for work for six months or longer. How can I get healthcare insurance and how much would it cost. Thank you
@@MexicoRelocationGuide I understand. I reckon establishing a relationship with an honest local doctor would help. Hopefully he or she would see that what is best for the patient would prevail.
it varies too much to give you an average. I know people paying $65 USD a month for coverage in that age group, but I am not sure what their deductible is
surgeries can be expensive in Mexico. of course it all depends on the surgeon, the city, whether they will use special equipment and how long you’ll stay in a hospital. You can however have surgery cheaper than that it all depends which surgeon you visit

@@MexicoRelocationGuide Thanks! That is an important fall back for us older expats.
However it’s very hard to get the hospitals to actually agree that your medical condition requires you to be airlifted to your home country

How do I work with your company?
Is there an average cost of insurance for a married couple in their late 40's and early 50's?

Did Brett mispeak about the cost of miniscus surgery? He said it cost $35K USD for arthroscopic surgery. That seems like a US price.
