    I lived and worked for 10 years in VN but had since returned to the States and I can say I enjoyed my stay in VN so much more. I drove scooter, enjoyed delicious food at great price, friendly and generous people, a great sense of community. I loved Nha Trang. I got a big kick out of seeing the locals go to the ocean to get their morning swim from 5:30am to 7:00am, go home to have breakfast then off to work. The beach is empty for us foreigners when it's hotter than Hades. Then they get home from work and do another quick round of ocean swimming with their fellow Nha Trang citizens from 4:30pm to 5:30pm, none of that exclusive beach for the rich b.s., a total sharing of their beautiful beach by everyone, rich or poor. How much more healthy can you get than that.

    What you got is just a straight shot of coffee. You may want to say "cà phê đá" which is unsweetened iced coffee, "đá" is iced, or you may want "cà phê sữa đá" which is the condensed milk iced coffee, "sữa" is milk, in this case, it's the condensed milk mixed with shots of coffee and served in iced. So maybe learn a few phrases from google translator, or show them the google images for the items that you are looking for.
    Oh, and that place you stopped by without ordering and they brought you plates of rice, meat, and eggs, because that's the only dish they served there which indicated on the written signs. Small restaurants only serve 1 or maybe 2 signature dishes. :)

    For the coffee, you can drink it black if you want. Or add the condensed milk while it's hot, mix it. You can drink it just with the condensed milk too. But you can also add a bunch of ice, mix it so the ice melts and it won't be as strong. The coffee is so strong on its own, that with ice, it won't taste watered down and you have more to sip on.

    You were very lucky that it was almost empty there ( maybe because of the Covid ) . Before the pandemic that mud bath station was always full of locals and tourists ( mostly Russian and Chinese ) . There are 3 mud/mineral bath stations in Nha Trang . The one ( Thap Ba ) you went is the cheapest . The two other ones ( I-Resort and 100 Eggs ) are bigger , nicer but more expensive ( 25 to 30 USD per person ) . But it`s worth the price . My favourite one is the I-Resort . There are many other nice places in Nha Trang that you could check-out , like the Monkey`s Island , VinPearl Aquapark , Ba Ho waterfall , Yang Bay park , Hon Trong , Gioc Let beach , the 4 Islands south of NT , Ninh Vân Bay , Cam Ranh bay , etc....
    Love your videos my friends . Please keep posting more new ones . Enjoy VN and stay safe

    The structure you saw on that promenade is the Sandal Wood Tower , the symbol of Nha Trang . Sandal Wood is a specialty of Khanh Hoa province ( Nha Trang is the capital city of that province , like Toronto the capital city of Ontario or Vancouver the capital city of B.C. ) . The Asian people love the sandal wood scent . They make statues , jewels , soaps , perfumes with that . It`s one of the main reasons why lots of Chinese tourists come here every year to buy that precious wood at very reasonable prices.
    BTW , which province of Canada are you from

    If you want coffee with the condensed milk, order ca phe sua da. They gave you the ice so you can put that in your coffee as Viet coffee is very strong so dilution is needed, stir, drink slowly to allow the ice time to melt whilst watching the world pass by. The coffee is meant to be enjoyed, not inhaled. :)

    Wow, the views!! And that mud bath is a must! The roadside meal you guys ate is com tam, which a lot of people absolutely love. The version you have seems simpler than the ones I've seen other eaten. Didn't see you guys do this, but make sure you dump some of that flavored fish sauce on it before eating, as that's what brings the flavor together. Without it, the meal would be a bit on the bland side.

    The coffee served in Vietnam is a lot stronger than the one you get in Canada, it's more like 2-3 shots of espresso, hence why there's so little. People just take sips of it, instead of drinking it like a beverage/soft drink. This is how coffee is enjoyed where it's grown.

    Were you holding out a camera while riding the scooter? I would be very careful and not do that due to reported snatching incidents that I heard about from time to time. At the very least, not doing that in when other bikes are nearby. VN is very safe but definitely not the Garden of Eden.

    • @AttilaAndZae
      @AttilaAndZae  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We’ve definitely got lots of comments regarding snatching from other SEA countries as well and we do typically try to be careful with our belongings, including our phone, bags and camera gear, but sometimes we do risk it for the biscuit 🍪.

    You drank the coffee wrong. You need to mix the coffee with sugar or condensed milk and fill the cup with ice and stir

    add Vietnamese subtitles for views.. if you stay there longer. The Vietnamese audience is huge

    • @AttilaAndZae
      @AttilaAndZae  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We pinned a comment on how to add the auto-generated subtitles from TH-cam. We can’t translate it ourselves because we don’t know Vietnamese and it would be too time consuming (we upload videos every 3 days).

    The little cup of coffee you got is due to the way you ordered it. I guess you only mentioned coffee, which made the owner think you only want pure black coffee (many Vietnamese elders actually prefer their coffee this way).
    And as you also mentioned that the coffee is 10 times stronger, you got that little amount, a large cup like in Canada of pure black coffee like that would have killed you.

    • @AttilaAndZae
      @AttilaAndZae  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We did ask for a black coffee but black coffee in Vietnam is not the same as asking in Canada 😂 we have been told before here that the coffee strength can kill you if drank too much here!

  • @thuanducnguyen7127

    Because the coffee is too dense and strong, not like Timmies, thats why its a small portion

    Vietnamese coffee is just too strong, they don’t want to serve you a lot…
    And lots of places serves different type..
    You had just black coffee, there is bac xiu coffee (lots of sugar, more on the sweeter side)…and milk coffee..
