Great review! I've been printing on my Q1 for about 6 weeks now and the only issues printing have been when I messed up in the slicer. From my flawless first layer test on day one, through 1.5kg of filament, to my most recent prints I have been super happy with the whole Q1 experience. Coming from a Voxelab Aquila v1 my life has gotten much easier; no more levelling every other print or worrying about filament run-out or tangles. Even the spool holder, which I dislike, does its' job... badly, but it hasn't dropped a spool yet so I can't complain. As soon as I hook up the carbon filter unit I printed I'm going to try printing ASA and see how the heated build chamber operates.
Qidi really really needs to hire industrial designers with consumer electronics in their portfolios, it's like someone's nephew designed their exteriors.
I saw on a youtube-like platform in China that QIDI said it had recruited some young people, so I think the design will be a bit more dynamic in the future.
I disagree. I couldn't care less how it looks. If it works well, that's what's important to me. This isn't something I'm taking out in public, it sits in a spare room of my house and no one, but me sees it.
Absolutely! We have about 90 printers here that will be on the list and we will try our best to create scoring videos for as many of the most popular ones that we can!
Love your videos man! Would you recommend the Ender 3 V3 KE or the Bambu Lab A1 Mini for beginner? I know both are great but having trouble deciding which to choose
I think OP might have meant the scoring details. If one printer is higher or lower due to MMU, for example, someone may not care. Seeing your scoring details would clarify where machines gained or lost points.
Really need to score after market support also. That's why I chose Qidi over Bambu. You may not have issues as a youtuber (they may all set you as a high priority), but looking over user reviews (and I also can vouch 1st hand for both), it does matter in purchasing a printer.
Support is really tough to measure, because we’d have to fabricate a support issue most of the time, and I don’t think that’s a good idea. I’m open for suggestions on how to do it if you have some.
@@802GarageIf TH-camrs began to do that it would twist reality. But on the other hand if you have a great product, customer service will be less important, compared to a product where you will need support all the time. Another great review! Thank you for your videos! May I ask your opinion.. I'm new to 3d printing and I try to choose my first FDM printer. Mainly I'm going to print in PLA, PETG and maybe ABS and TPU. I'd like to have quality (for commercial production) prints, not just for hobby. I would go for an MMU system but my current budget doesn't allow me to do so. So, I am between the Qidi Q1 Pro and the Creality K1C, which both have also the potential for an MMU system in the future (if Qidi releases one, and if Creality's upcoming MMU system would be backwards compatible). Hi mate, I hope you're doing well.....I've stumbled across adding textures to the outside of 3d models...using Ideamaker slicer...have you any experience of this please and tried this on a bambu or Qidi.
