Transalp versus Africa Twin - Which bike is better?

In this video I am going to compare both of these bikes and let you know what bike I think is a better bike for me.

Hi having had both, AT looks much better but for everyday riding Transalp wins.

Transalp is a more comfortable bike specially on the pavement. But I prefer the AT as a more do all bike. For me it has a better riding position for my height and it is a more agile bike. Both bikes are great bikes to own but to me AT win for me.

both is great bikes, for me the best between them for an all rounder the african twin is the better option.

The African twin for the win..both bikes have the power capacity..but when that extra gusto is needed, the transalp will fall short every time

Im looking to buy a xrv750 AT
But um 1.70 m and about 30" 31" inseam
My worry is that i could not stop and put my feet on the ground

Hi there the best way to find out is to try it ou if you can. I don’t think it should be an issue for you if your inseam is 31. I am 5.11”/ 180cm and my inseam is 32 I can almost flat foot. Again I have set the preload of the rear shock to be a be stiffer so in your case to can always soft it a bit to get a little bit more saggy on the rear shock.
The seat of the xrv is a bit wide so that would spread your leg a bit more apart so it will make if feel a bit taller.
So my advise is to try it out and ask the person that you buying from if any mod has been done on the rear shock like adding preload or stiffer springs because that will make the bike taller.
