Yeah, several Republican men have tried the “pink face” argument with women. Don’t use women to hide behind to justify your hateful fixation on Transwomen.
First, you tried to use to “protect them” from trans women in bathrooms. Now, you are worried about women being “ erased. “
I have some really tough love for men and women in the Republican Party. Don’t try to sell to your concern for women and their daughters when Trump was elected by your party after he was heard describing to sexually assault. The Republican Party is by far a much bigger threat to women that a transwoman.
All trans women have a mother/. When you hurt trans kids and adults, you aren’t just treating people as sub human. You are hurting people that are loved by women.
The audacity of supporting one of the most overtly false narratives to hurt trans people!
Republican men worry more about men being false accused or rape than whether a woman has been raped. You seem to give zero fucks about the health and life of pregnant women. . And the repulsive level or misogyny. You love patriarchy. Conservative women are free to support whomever they want. Internalized misogyny isn’t prettier because it’s pink.
The Republican Party is anti feminist. Most trans women are feminist/ we may not agree on all issues but no women do. Guess what there is a difference between gender and sex. And the science is not just “ boys have penises and girl have vaginas. I don’t even know where to start with the complexity but why reviews x/ Y chromosomes.
I likely know more trans men , women , girls , boys than you. You are not aware that there is diversity and nuskdd of thought. Men who think they are fooling women by pretending to be concerned about women really need to stop.
Don’t use faux concern to hide your problems with transgender women. Cis Men are exponentially more of a threat to cis women than a transgender woman is.
You know you aren’t expected to be sexually attracted to trans women. If you are really concerned about women, get your guy friends to start treating women better.

It’s crazy how they want to defy gender norms so they choose to transition to being a more stereotypical “x” instead of being an outlier in their born sex? I'm a 31 year old gay guy, came out when I was 15. I wanted to accept everybody as long as they weren't hurting anyone. First time I got to vote I voted for Obama. Around 10 years later, I noticed a shift-- and I felt like it was a very bad one. The left felt very unaccepting. I have lost many friends and been called transphobic for many things, mostly unintentional things ie accidentally misgendering a biological female (who did not present male at all) who was saying she was a he. I think it clicked in that moment that I no longer am an accepted part of the left and that they had lost their minds because this was being encouraged. I now consider myself center-right leaning and feel like I'm constantly walking on eggshells around my gay friends or even just younger people who are in college. I feel like the "left" left me, more than I left it, but perhaps I was also brainwashed initially as a teenager coming out as gay to think the liberals were the only ones that would truly accept me. I totally relate to feeling politically homeless as I'm not a super religious conservative like some of my family but I can't get onboard with far left ideas these people are spewing. It's very sad to me.

With how the Electoral College is structured, the US lends itself to a two party system. The President and Vice President can only be elected if they carry a majority of electoral votes. Having more than 2 major political parties makes this especially difficult. You can vote for a smaller party, but their numbers just aren’t there. My biggest concerns are that the Democrats and Republicans used to be more “big tent” and I just don’t see that anymore.

Glad to hear it. Not because we align more politically, though I'm in the same boat, winding up under the conservative umbrella because life experience and common sense made me stumble upon it, not because the mob told me it was the one true umbrella. No, I'm glad because you overcame your challenges, didn't get taken in by any wolf in sheep's clothing, and learnt the important life skill known as "knowing when to call BS" (he's the younger brother of "knowing how to most effectively call out BS", did you know?)
Genuine historians, the ones who approach the discipline with sincerity and integrity without being blinded by ideology, are possibly becoming rarer but are definitely fine human beings. It's why I encourage young 'uns to get into STEM if they don't know what to do with themselves but don't wanna be a plumber - history is in fact very much worth studying, understanding and respecting (don't learn it, doomed to repeat it, etc...)
Same reason mythology gets a pass. Our ancestors didn't just come up with some outlandish yarns to make sense of existence before science - they worked out some fundamental truths about reality worth passing on so wrapped them up in stories and symbolism that even small children can understand. Man, the humanities are actually worth a damn when academia isn't thoroughly polluted by vindictive Marxist thought. (Okay, not all of them. Gender studies can probably go in the bin, for starters...)

I'm a 31yo Millennial and I was a Progressive Democrat since the first time Obama ran for president, I made the decision last year to leave the left because the left is marching down a very destructive path that is up-ending every foundation that keeps a society stable.
The tranz issue was the final straw for me, I'm not going to allow these people to tell me my own eyes are lying to me (figuratively speaking).
They think that all "progress" is good "progress" when that couldn't be further from the truth, the changes these people are pushing are destabilizing society and encouraging people to indulge in self-destructive behavior.
I could no longer tolerate this nonsense and it led me to becoming socially conservative on most cultural issues at this point, social conservatism is the only side that's still grounded in objective reality at this point. I saw a video a while back about a psychologist who tried to explain why the 'progress' is actually not working.
Its because of the way that those pushing for progress eg activists see it as linear, a straight line that increases on a diagonal, ever striving for the top, which is never reached, but has an idealised version of reality at the end, utopia if you will.
In reality, progress is a hill, we start at the bottom and work our way up to the top of it.
This of course doesn't work for the linear model because once we've reached the top, instead of stopping and looking at the achievements we as a society have made, the progressives are still pushing up that line.
But what happens if you keep going from the top of a hill? You end up going back down the other side! Hence why a lot of so called progress actually feels very regressive, especially to the older generations who were witness to the hill climbing in the first place.
I think its as good as any of an analogy, to help understand why progress is going in the wrong direction - we're stumbling back down....

@@hotdog1214 that is a brilliant explanation and it's very accurate, I think a lot of us instinctively know this is the case but we aren't always able to articulate it in the eloquent manner you just did.
That is the case on every social issue that the woke/sjw crowd is pushing, I do think that the far left "thought leaders"/academics/elites in positions of power have malicious motives behind pushing these extremist ideas into the mainstream.
Their goal is to create a "c*mmun!st utopia", which is really a CCP style dystopia.

When I told my siblings that that isn’t right, they said that I was trans phobic even though none of them had ever competed in sports once in their life, they would send me articles daily and telling me and basically emotionally manipulating me telling me that I was homophobic and then I was transposed back. @@3namechangezalowdevry90day7 That's true enough- mask etiquette was terrible in the west. That said, we were also lied to about a lot concerning the efficacy of masks in the first place.
Homemade cloth masks- i.e. most masks that people ended up wearing- were not up to medical standards and generally spread more germs rather than less. To boot, there was so much misinformation about covid that people went wild. Covid is spread by droplets- mucus, saliva, etc from an infected person. It was not airborne, and if it was nothing short of a military grade gas mask was going to help you, and yet I heard from numerous people that exact information.
I also think it's worth knowing your history in regard to the vaccines. Minorities have historically been experimented on under the guise of being provided preventative/theraputic Healthcare, and guess which communities were the ones targeted for free vaccine vans? Guess which communities were *paid* to take the vaccines. It's also pretty sketch that it's the only vaccine/medicinal shot in the modern day that's supposedly safe for pregnant women and their fetuses, especially because by the time this reassurance had come out, there was no way that there was *any* data on what it would actually do to a fetus. Out of all the harmless shots in the world that still aren't recommended for pregnant women, why and how is this one so different? I don't think it is, and I'm sure we'll see that later.
There was also the weird ivermectin misinformation too- namely that it is a horse de-wormer and that's all it's ever been. Sure, there are doses of ivermectin that can be used in livestock (calculated for their specific body masses), but ivermectin was initially created for humans, and is still regularly used on them to get rid of things like tapeworms, ringworm, and a ton of other parasitic infections. The fact that anyone talking about it being used in humans for any reason was dismissed and called stupid is insane to me, because it takes one simple Google search to figure out that it was *made* for humans to begin with. Now, I don't think it was some magical cure for covid. I doubt it did anything for covid at all. But the whole thing being labeled as far right extremists recommending horse medication was strange, misleading, and malicious.

Back then, one of our closest friends would still eat with us as well as his girlfriend and her friend.
One day we were talking and someone brought up my Christianity. My friends know that I’m very Christian and for respect it, even if they don’t agree with everything about it.
Anyway, after having that brought up my friend’s girlfriend started questioning me on why I was Christian and said something like “of all the religions in the world, you chose to be Christian.”
I tried to play it off as nothing cause I didn’t wanna get into an argument with her, but after trying to ignore it she and her friend tapped me on the shoulder and pretended to interview me, asking what I thought of Gay people.
I just told them I may not agree with all that stuff but I don’t hate them and have nothing against people who are gay.
I thought that was that, but of course it wasn’t.
I turned around again to keep talking to my friends but they once again tapped me on the shoulder.
This time they asked me, in front of my friend who one of them is dating, “what if we started making out right now, just like right in front of you” and literally continued saying that for like 10 seconds.
I guess I shocked them with my answer when I said I’d just look the other way and not pay attention cause they actually looked like they were shocked by that.
Thankfully after that they didn’t bother me about it again.

Growing up and entering college, I never took a stance in politics until around last year. For me, I never felt oppressed or anything during high school, I never picked sides, and l was pretty happy. Until recently, I discovered how my college brainwashed me. Through my freshmen year and towards graduation, I was required to take courses that did not reflect how I was raised and taught. I remember I had to write a paper about how I had white privilege, although I am white and Hispanic, have black grandparents and mother. I was taught that my religion was oppressive, even though I work to be kind to others. If I wasn't part of the LGBTQ+ community, I was a terrible person. When I learned these topics, it hurt me so bad. I was told that I was racist, a horrible person, and that its all because of my skin. What really kicked the can was last year, where a group of students were blatantly racist towards me because I cannot speak fluent Spanish. I reported this, I was shut down immediately. I was told I'm just overreacting. However, when another student reports an incident, school-wide emails are sent out. It made no sense to me, and it hurts. Why does the left push that labels, genders, "inclusive language", and so much more? Why can't I just be myself? Even more, my own friends are supporting these ideas, and I can't say anything. If I spoke out, most likely I'd get in trouble. Furthermore, I'm scared for my youngest sibling, who will start being even more exposed to this crazy ideology upon entering high school. The anti-white rhetoric is what started pushing me away from the left several years ago, and within the last few years, with all of this vehemently pro-trans stuff and especially pushing that onto children, genital preferences being transphobic somehow, and MAJORLY the rise of young people and young adults who all of a sudden have dissociative identity disorder, schizophrenia, autism, etc., the first two of which are extremely rare and the existence of DID is still strongly debated among psychologists to this day because of how extremely difficult it is to prove and because there have been _very_ few confirmed cases of it, I’ve become firmly center/middle, maybe center-left.
I live in California, which is extremely liberal, so I don’t share my political opinions with anyone outside of my immediate family, mainly because they’re all either center-right or just flat-out conservative. My college isn’t super duper leftist, it’s just a jc, but I’m currently considering transferring to a 4-year university in a different, less liberal state even though it’ll cost more, when the time comes.

I never thought I would become a social conservative, but these far left extremists pushed me here.

I lean left on many issues but I do feel that if gun ownership is enshrined in the constitution like it is in the US, then guns should not be banned - rather, the correct way would be to ensure that stringent licensing requirements exist (background check, extensive training and qualification like you would for a car, certain weapon categories are restricted to those with an appropriate background e.g. self-loading rifles with large magazine capacities for those with a past military/law enforcement background). The Second Amendment reads: "A well-regulated militia is essential to the security of a free state. The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." How I interpret it is that gun ownership is encouraged, but gun owners should be aware of the societal obligations that come with owning a gun, and should use their guns responsibly e.g. as a last line of defence from external invasion. Of course, many governments around the world do choose to ban civilian gun ownership for most purposes, simply because many people can't be trusted around a gun

This is related to the woke therapy section. So, as clearly shown in some of these stories, a lot of mental health has been taken over by these ideologies and it’s tainted a lot of resources because there are so many self-diagnosers that change the data. It’s so important to seek a good professional and I had that experience recently. My current psychiatrist and I were hypothesizing that I might have Asperger’s so I got tested. From my own research and past experiences, it seemed totally possible. However, the psychiatrist I saw helped clear things up in a very helpful way. We found, after getting info about my toddler years from my mom, that these issues didn’t go far enough back into my childhood to warrant a diagnosis of autism but rather that traumatic events in early childhood mixed with 10 years of failing therapy and 8 years of psychiatrists telling me it’s major depression and generalized anxiety before throwing pills at me and calling it a day I was actually suffering from Persistent Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety, and Insomnia. All of which are messing up my brain’s functionality resulting in symptoms that are also present in autism. Basically, what I’m saying with this story is that mental health conditions have a lot of overlap when it comes to symptoms. We are in a mental health crisis and self-diagnosis is far too rampant. Even the psychiatrist who helped me told me that she’s had patients come in with info they got online or on TikTok and presented with fake symptoms for things like D.I.D., ADHD, and Autism. We didn’t get political at all about it but she was clearly at the end of her rope with self-diagnosing.

    • @gigahorse1475
      @gigahorse1475 ปีที่แล้ว

I think a lot of these people who are self-diagnosing with autism are actually correct. Psychiatrists are not well trained to recognize developmental disabilities in people who are not children, resulting in people with autism being given antidepressants and other medications that don’t help them, due to misdiagnosis. Because of that I think self-diagnosis of autism can actually be a good thing, so professionals can wake up and get to the root of the matter instead of seeing everything as anxiety and depression.
I’m a reluctantly self-diagnosed autistic (though I have had a professional tell me it’s clear I’m autistic). I don’t believe in self-diagnosis for mental illnesses, however. Finding out my issue is autism not anxiety has made my life worlds better.

One of the saddest things I see is if you earnestly ask some of these woke people to explain some of their ideology they get defensive and offended and tell you it's not their job to educate you on the matter. This is a conversation I have had far too many times. It typically boils down to you asking (again, sincerely) a few questions about their beliefs and then they get irritated and tell you to go do your own research to figure out how they feel (which is ironic seeing as how if you talk about doing your own research when it comes to MSLM talking points suddenly you're a conspiracy theorist, but that's a topic for a different discussion). But the thing that bothers me so much is that it is blatant that these people clearly have no argument to defend their beliefs and so the way they cope with it is to just say 'well you have to take the time to educate yourself' but again, when I've talked to these people I was more curious about why THEY believed it, as in what led them to form such a strong conviction that what they believe in is true, which is not something you can go google.

Before 2016, I was totally indifferent to politics (and honestly really wish I could still be), because I was 18 and just starting college and wanted to focus on figuring my life out, and I really didn't want to stick my hands in the mud of politics because it was so toxic. Then, everyone lost their f-ing mind over Donald Trump being elected. That was my freshman year, and the day after the election the atmosphere at my university was as if someone had just been shot, and one of my professors even cancelled class because she couldn't stop crying. Needless to say, I was intensely taken aback by all the wailing outrage. Despite that though, I still assumed this was just the typical post-election outrage that always happens (albeit way more histrionic than past elections) and waited for it to dissipate like it always did; to my utter confusion and disbelief, it never did.
After that, politics (mainly far left politics) became gradually harder to avoid, with me seeing every single day people wailing about how Trump being elected ruined their life, and even people getting on my case for not voting for Hillary and not hating Trump's guts. "What is wrong with these people, the election was years ago now!" I thought. One thing that especially perplexed me was when I started seeing people say that there are more than two genders, and that gender is on a spectrum; discovering that was probably the most confused I have ever been in my whole life, because it was so nonsensical, yet so many people were spouting it. One story about that from my junior year in 2018, a bunch of my friends concluded after debate that gender is on a spectrum, and their "evidence" was that Scotsmen wore kilts. WHAT??? Stuff like that made me just walk away from a lot of my friends because they had clearly left planet earth far behind.
And then of course in 2020, everyone went fully crazy with all the winking and nodding at all the rioting over some guy in Minnesota (not to mention protesting en masse, all while we were supposed to be "stopping the spread") so there was no getting around it anymore. It really reminds me of that analogy where you are between the personifications of the right and the left, the left pushes you and the right catches you saying "are you ok?" and then the left says "WHY ARE YOU TAKING THE RIGHT'S SIDE???" Everything that year scared me into voting for Donald Trump, my first time voting at age 23. A position I never would have predicted myself to be in that soon in my life, but these lunatics forced me into it. To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, "I didn't get involved in politics; politics got involved with me!"

I have also had people close to me be victims of crimes and although the police solved the case they won't arrest the people who committed the crime and that is so frustrating. I used to enjoy going downtown but now I wouldn't even think about it. I think overgeneralization as well as super black-and-white thinking is super harmful to literally everyone and society as a whole. I don't know who needs to hear this but you can be politically in the middle and still be a good person. Being on either political side doesn't automatically equate you to being a good person. I wrote a paper in a history class about sexuality during WW2 and I recently reread it and it made no sense to me and also didn't sound like me at all. I wonder if anyone else who is conservative or politically in the middle had to write papers for left-leaning professors felt the same. It felt like I couldn't actually voice my thoughts and opinions because I wanted good grades.

I'm asexual, however that is not my identity. Identity is a tree, at the top is human, we are all humans, this is followed by man and women, which we are all one of. Everything else falls below this, so I am a human male who is asexual. Surely this isn't hard to understand. I love your videos Misha, your arguments or so spot on. Keep it up, you have my support 100 percent.

I'm a brazillian citizen, and it has been hard to feel confortable in sharing opinions since i got into university. Here, just like in the US, the "Woke" culture has taken over most of the teachers and students, i just exchanged unis 'cause the last one was REALLY bad, like, not just about the "Wokism" lol I felt like i was wasting my time completely. Anyway, mid presentation, some of the guys on my group asked me who i had voted for. (The elections had just happened) I obviously felt quite evasive. And they started to guess. I just told them that i'd tell them later if they asked me in private. (Honestly, i was more at ease with them than with the female members of the group, two of them looked like radical feminists, and i'm sad that i wasn't wrong. The other one seemed great tho) And then, one of the girls started talking about how capitalism had failed and all that stuff. And i said out loud "Well, comunism and socialism also failed. They were very much worse." And Boom, she got all defensive. Eh, it's incredible how they never know that all of those socialists/comunists governments exist. Or they just say "That wasn't real comunism." Like she said. I'm just glad i didn't stay there longer, i had to do a lot of work by myself, and even present. (I'm glad i got all that experience, don't get me wrong, but carring most of my group wasn't very nice on me) Well, it was around this time that i found you Misha! And i really enjoy your content, you're very sweet and kind, and your voice is very soothing, love to hear your opinions while i work on my projects!

The only reason why I was accepting these types of behaviours, even the very extreme one who made no sense, is because I am a very kind and respectful person and I didnt want to hurt anyone or make anyone feel ashamed of who they think they are, I even questionned myself, questionned myself so much that I realised it wasnt real and all of this was very weird and confusing, so I started to not care because putting myself in a box became very obssevive, unhealthy and anxious for me. I then realised how we dont need so much things and we can just be who we are, not in the "i am gay" but in the "i am (name)" because thats all that matters, I realised how different people were not accepting my opinions at all and how toxic it was, even the people with neopronouns seemed to be really stupid to me at this point and everything felt like a cult so I decided to begin to create my own opinions instead of following what was being said and now I know I am clearly nothing like leftist in my opinions.

i know i’m late to the party, but here is one of my (many) experiences with wokeness
i went to an arts high school. i loved singing and theatre and so i went for that. you can imagine the type of people who were my classmates. anyhow, it was the end of senior year and i was just waiting to graduate and not giving a damn at that point. one of my theatre classes we were taking about trans actors, somehow the topic of trans kids came up. i don’t remember how and idc. then they were talking about how hormones are “essential for kids and every trans kids needs to go on them” and i said something like “if i had to wait to get a tattoo until i was 18 because it was a permanent choice, children even younger should not be given irreversible hormones. if an adult wants them? that’s cool. if a kid wants to dress differently or cut their hair? cool. i was called every “phobic” in the book and nobody wanted to talk to me, and then I got sent to the office for “antagonizing other students”. all for expressing a logical opinion. graduated like 2 weeks later and unfollowed nearly everyone from that school.
i also got called “transphobic” for not calling a kid “it”. anyhow loved the skills i learned there, so glad i’m out
another thing that also irks me is when the woke-ists say there is an ongoing trans genocide yet every major source says the trans population is growing? as a jewish person whose people actually went through a genocide it is beyond insulting. just because laws are being passed preventing children from making any permanent body changes doesn’t mean genocide!
i know that a was super long read i’m just very opinionated lol

    • @anathemat-002
      @anathemat-002 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

The "trans genocide" irks me so much. Somehow it's a full blown genocide, but the lists of murdered trans people never top out at more than 20 individuals. And then you actually look into the supposed hate fueled murder and you find out that the person who was murdered was a prostitute (risky career field) who died because "her" ex husband put a poisonous snake in the trunk of her car and it bit her, and his explicit reason for murder was some unhinged shit that had nothing to do with the person's trans identity.
It's the same thing going on with the idea of police brutality against unarmed black people. Ask anyone on the left how many people fitting that description are murdered every year in the US and they'll say "hundreds" or "thousands" when in reality it's like 6 or 7 and then some random cases that definitely don't fit that description (some gang member decides to open fire on some cops or something but the media outright lies and portrays them as a good man who never did anything wrong and didn't do any of the things that incited the incident).
Even the most left leaning sources can't find stats to back up these apparently prevalent genocidal campaigns against these groups, and they're the ones that would benefit deeply from the numbers being bigger!
