Great review , appriciate the 'effort perception and stride being variables but the energy return will be a constant. Your findings actually kind of matches up to their fairly honest marketing .. the head guy said it was for 2:30 and below over the 26.2 .. Its not for me (my HM pace is around 7 minute miles) , but love with what they are doing and I am picking up another pro 1. (which is essentially has been replaced by the flash 2)
Good points, and thanks for watching. Yeah, I tried to communicate that my visual representations were all based on my perceptions and therefore subjective, but I could have labeled my y axis better. I’ve read that 2:30 marathoner target consumer marketing when they came out with the Pro 1, and that is a fairly niche cross-section. My gut tells me it will work for a larger variety of runners than that. It might have less to to with pace and more to do with runners’ biomechanics at those paces. Other runners might be able to engage that sweet spot of a lever effect at 8 or 9 minute pace. 🤷♂️
Exactly. I love the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro V1 even on easy long runs at a pace of 5 and even 6 minutes per km. Just need to be careful with the road imperfections.
I have the Wave Rebellion Pro V1. I am a heel striker and slow runner but the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro V1 is perfect for me. I even take them for long easy runs just bouncing along.. However not being able to heel lock and being more extreme than V1 makes me reconsider.. I think probably the new Mizuno Wave Rebellion Flash will be better 😂
Yeah, the Flash 2 definitely looks a little more subdued, and it might appeal to a broader audience, especially at 2/3 the price. I’m thinking I might have been better off picking up a pair of those!
I like you very much for delivering thoroughly subjective thoughts. I don't think it's worthwhile for those who try to achieve objectivity. All experiences are subjective. I've never seen a TH-cam that expresses experiences as well as you.
Nice reviews man. Just bought it yesterday decided to give it a try.
Thanks for watching!

Flashing two is a poor man Pro V1. Love Mizuno Pro V1 but sent the Flash V2 back.

haha funny to see the two generations of shoes next to each other
In 2016, I never would’ve imagined I would have a shoe that looked like the Wave Rebellion Pro 2…
Is the Insole removable?
No sir. It appears to be non-removable.

Thank you! That’s very high praise!
