I never knew about the final fantasy references in this game when I was a kid. Now, as an adult, I am pleasantly surprised with these references in the game. Seeing Moogle, Cacutar, and Behemoth in FFVII Remake & the Intergrade DLC on PS5/PC is surprisingly nostalgic.
This boss was a lot of fun to fight. It’s a unique take to fight a boss. I love that you use the four sports to fight. Sports mix needs to come back onto switch
Wish there was a mario sports mix 2 that adds more mario characters like shy guy birdo rosalina pauline and more characters from the final fantasy series and dragon quest series to and maybe other games made by square enix and maybe even more sports and minigames and make it for switch pc and console
If they wanted to represent FF more broadly in smash, maybe they could do a Trio character with these three, not only are they common, but the Mario fans(like me) will be intregued by they're reappearance
Can't remember all of mines, but I remember glitching the game and getting all the characters and rewards and all that, so I used cactar and when I used him, it was easy to beat king behemoth.
I believe once you get your hands on the meteor ball, just run around stepping on the panels to gather coins for power. Or keep throwing them at Behemoth to fill up your special meter faster.
Apparently, Nintendo doesn't like to crossover with Final Fantasies that were from Playstation. But just imagine Sephiroth being a boss with a One Winged Angel remix and playing as Cloud and Tifa.
OK, I know this isn't the first time Mario crossed over with Final Fantasy, but this is still bizzare!
