You are a god send! I just got a commission from my first big client, and I was freaking out about contracts, invoices, and all that mind-bending legal stuff. This video broke down the entire process so well, and it was so easy to understand as a beginner. THANK YOU!
Dude the amount of quality info and resources you give to your subscribers is so generous. I'm genuinely super impressive. And It all feels like premium information as well. Beyond grateful! Many thanks
@@JesseNyberg As a freelancer I assume most of the work is done remotely, how does the contract become binding? Do you just send a photo of it and screenshot their reply which agrees?
@@carbon3354 Always use PDF's you have 2 options: 1. sign digitally through Adobe sign and request the client to do the same. 2. Print the document, sign it, scan it back in and then send it to the client that way. Hope that clears anything up:)
Hi Jesse, great video! I just still confuse how I get the client to sign the contract, I mean, should I send the pdf contract and ask them to print so they can sign it, or is there any digital way to do the sign? Thanks you in advance!
You are a knight in shining armer, I've been meaning to get into the habit of creating contracts, and something sorta big came up and this helped me so much - thank you dude!
❤ great video 👍 i want to ask Is the contract process only for Designers/agency who had registered their business or an individual designer can also follow this ? Because I'm not signing contracts and haven't got issues till now, just wanted to know if i should follow this .
Hey, anybody knows if this is applied to work internationally? If not is there any way to figure out the correct way to do it working with a client outside of US?
Do you create a separate invoice for the initial 50% or deposit? If you are working at an hourly rate, do you send the invoice after the project is finished and you have the total hours? Thanks!
Great video man! I have just one question: how do you deal with the 50% upfront payment invoicing? Do you do two separate invoices or what? Thanks man, your videos are pure gold for the freelancing people out there
