- If you're a freelance designer and have troubles talking to clients, use this entire sales from start to finish as a call a reference. This is how I talk to clients and I gave away my commission to show you how!
Besides just being good at a skill, learning how to speak with clients is a top notch skill that will help you earn more money. It's all about maximizing your commissions and I'll show you some tips and tricks that I use to earn more from each of your projects!
Through the entire sales process, I will highlight key important sales strategies and concepts that I use to navigate my way through the call. It's important to be comfortable with these ideas and be sure to practice a lot because closing deals is hard and can't be learned overnight!
Furthermore, I will show you the entire process of how I designed her logo and business cards.
I'm showing you this because this is something I've learned from my own trial and errors. As an entry level freelancer, I wish I had more advice when it came to the sales aspect of my business. Hope everyone here can learn something from this!

As a up and coming freelancer who's afraid to get his feet wet, this video actually helps so freaking much. I've always imagined what may go wrong during a phone call with my first client and if I will ever say something wrong that might steer them away, but the way you handle this client was very insightful. And the design process you went through really helps visualize how much work you had to put in.
Excellent video and I'm so happy for the client. Subscribed and can't wait to see more content!
How did your client call go, hope it went smoothly 😊
Love this! So happy with your business platform. You made it so easy.
Thank you so much! I couldn't have done this without you! Good luck to your business!
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Fantastic video! I learn so much, great insight. And I think it was so nice of you to offer to do it for free considering all the work and effort that went into it
What a way to turn this around at the end! Knowing how much work is put into the business cards alone is crazy, not to mention the logo. Goes without saying that your designs are 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you for sharing your process!
Don't know why YT recommended such a great video after 3 years, this was the content that I was looking for.

Talking to clients, when getting to the cost aspect, has always freaked me out. I was always afraid of being too low or too high. Asking the client what their budget is has greatly helped in the freak out department. Thank you, and please post more videos like this.

This was so helpful thank you for uploading. You were so good explaining the worth and proper value of the project and also setting boundaries. I think you could sell me my own foot if you tried, very professional and smooth.
Wow! Great content. These have always been my problem: Pricing, pre-part-payment, and getting the clients to give me more clues as to what they want. Thank you so much!

I am watching this while replying to my first client messages.
This video is gold!! I'm extremely thankful for this whole process and your transparency with us as well as with the client. I honestly struggle a lot to communicate my boundaries with clients and since I'm only in the beginning of my journey as a freelance designer this is enormously helpful, thank you!
This was very helpful, made my notes. Thank you for this!
So far a really good content for beginner's. It actually boosted me for just going into real client work.

These are great advice Super helpful! It definitely sounded like she got more and more comfortable talking to you the more you guys talked!
Thanks Yen! The most important thing for a successful sales call is for them to be comfortable! Its a segway towards great business!
The way you handled the negotiations for money is pretty cool I am not going to lie!
Thank you so much for this! I've always wondered how these kinds of calls go as im still a beginner and kinda nervous for calls haha, but this helps out so much
you earned more than money on this. glad founded this ♥😀
This video is slept on but you did this as good as Dan Loc or Chris Do! Very good.
I am gonna do my first call today. And it will be a video call. I am logo designer and a freelancer. I was clueless of how I gonna defend the pricing strategy. But out of nowhere you video comes into recommendation!
I got to learn something new.
How was it?
@@rlphnblza It was too good. But I cancelled the deal as I did not match their deadline. They wanted 1 logo and 12 posters in 2 days ☠️.
This is underrated video can't believe this is free, Theory lessons + Actual experience is really complete detailed solution for us, Thank you! God Bless!
I would say "you made my day", but it's almost 3:00am, so you made my night, duuude!
I should change my targeted clients, cities and even country, cuz here in the middle east I can barely find a good client, and since my graduation in 2018, I didn't get any good client that would pay me over 200$, and they were very few clients, you can even count them on your hand!
and I just want to add that I'm currently living the most depressed time in my life with almost everything around me, and I was searching everywhere on youtube for some videos to show me how to deal with clients, which appears to be that your way is easy and very close to what I do, too!
thank you again, my friend, I know this is a long comment, but it was real and from my heart.

Graphic Designer.
Suuuper helpful 👏
Thanks Misty B! Keep up the good freelancing work!
Loved the video thanks for sharing!! Where’d you get the illustrations from?
Hey! I just wanted to thank you a lot for this piece of content you made. I've been looking for the full process a designer goes through with a client, from the first approach. So I can prepare my own process for the first and the consecutives clients. I didn't find it until now, this is very helpful for me, thank you so much!
Glad I could help! Goodluck on your freelance journey!

Very inspiring video
Please can you do a video of how you get this clients🙏🙏
The value of what you created was much higher than what she was willing to pay.
You went above and beyond by gifting the project, which is unsustainable, but if it's helped you get clients, subscribers, and satisfaction, great.
That’s amazing I’m really aspiring to reach that point, and I would love if you could give me some tips because I’m trying to start up free lancing and I am pretty okay with illustrator.so anything would help.
Awesome work bro😎👍, shoulda sent me the money tho🤧
If you wanted to streamline the process then having some premade forms of commen questions you ask people you work with would help. Also a step by step guide of things you need from the client. Then how payment works. You get started and you send them how your process is. Guide them throw the process. You should have done this on the website to some extent but you go down to the details. Then you send a business package with your logo on it and the forms inside with links to your members area. Then you put all the information into a server and cast it back into the client area on your webpage and then having all the information at one place. Sure it take some to setup but hopefully you will never have to waist time again other then optimizing the process to the point you never have to explain this shit again. Also hitting the client with a quistionare at the end of what you can improve in the process really helps with retaining clients.
Woow. ❤

This ep suppose to has a page pose on somewhere or book so I could easily re-learn or chew on or go through in the future. Could you make it happened?
Question. Is the $1000 package your true pricing, or the buffer ( based on her budget ) to mature it sound like you’re meeting half way and making it sound like a deal?
is your cap LRG?
I am really curious as to why you don't send the source files with them
Surprised she didnt choose the two top left mockups
no more upload?
I could kiss you. Thank you for this video. God sent
How to talk with client !
$150-$300 for a logo... sheeeesh!
What is that intro 😂
STOP LOWBALLING YOUR SERVICES
Terrible idea. This situation had a good outcome because the client was agreeable and understanding. But NEVER EVER in a million years record someone without their initial consent. Meaning, they must understand, exactly at the initial encounter, that this conversation is being recorded. Not only is it illegal in some states to not disclose, but you risk litigation even in states where the law is more open-ended about one party consent because the law leaves it up to the individual to decide if they were harmed in anyway. And get this, the law doesn’t care if you published it or not. Any individual has a reasonable expectation of privacy. Ignorance is completely unforgivable.
You seem to think that they will incur legal expenses and take him to court over this matter, investing their time and energy. However, I’m confident he’s intelligent enough to be aware of what you've mentioned, yet nothing will happen because it’s not a significant issue
I know this is 3 years old, but I really loved the process. It basically the same as mine, but having to watched this makes my flow much more smoother! thanks for the tip!
Thank you for the support!
what's going wrong with you man? why you are using background music ? is it titanic movie's romantic scene?
