I'm 41, and I adore them. Having grown up listening to the "hair bands" of the 80s, my favorite being Motley Crue, I fell in love with BVB the moment I saw the Fallen Angels MV in 2011. The vocals, guitar, drums...the way their talent comes together just resonates perfectly with my soul. I've already read some comments criticizing this song for having the same formula as most of their others. To me, that's just the BVB sound. The style I love, and that I don't get tired of. Hey, AC/DC did their own version of the same shit for YEARS, and it worked! If you're a fan, you're a fan. 🤷 I've seen them live twice (would have been 3 times, but...'rona), and rarely have I encountered such a diverse crowd at a rock show. Men and women, from (of course) younger fangirls to seasoned, biker-looking couples in their 50s and 60s, enjoying the hell out of the concert. I even saw parents with a kid who was probably no older than 10, and they were all rocking out together. If my son had been older at the time (he's a fan, too), I would have brought him along. 🤘
I was a huge fan of this band during the Perfect Weapon/Fallen Angels era, because their message got to me as a teenager. I didn't always find their music ambitious; I could often hum their songs along hearing them for the first time. They sound like they've improved a lot, musically. This song does make me wanna check them out again

This band truly helped me overcome the high school years, I will forever be in their debt. I was supposed to meet them and attend their concert in Milan this year, then freaking covid happened. I've been waiting for ages for that moment but I'm optimistic: another chance will come and we will be back at live shows in no time! (Boy, how i miss concerts!). I did the same exact thing when I was carrying my son almost 6 years ago. Whenever he would get super rowdy while I was carrying him that was the only way he would go to sleep 😆. I still put their music on every once in a while whenever he's really upset or whenever I'm frustrated. We're both Autistic and it really helps. I've been listening to them for almost 10 years now.

Haven't listened to this band in a little over five years, and now hearing 'Scarlet Cross' and 'Feilds Of Bone' after what feels like forever, BVB does NOT disappoint
I'd fallen off for a bit, too, and came back to their older stuff like two or three years ago just to find that I had alot of very pleasant catching up to do.
To me it sounds like cross between something that would be on Wretch and Devine & the self titled album. I really love this! Ngl, I didn't care for Vale at all minus 2 songs(I don't hate it by any means, it just wasn't for me), I really hope they keep releasing stuff like this! This is the BVB I fell in love with, god 11 years ago at this point.. Jesus fuck I'm old. Lol I also think this is Andy's best work lyrically, and you can really tell he puts work into his technique vocally. LONNY is such a great addition to this band, as well, just watching his play throughs on his person YT channel it's very apparent that he honestly blows Ash WAAAAAAY out of the water as a musician. Jake and Jinxx, as always, great playing. That solo was fucking killer, I'm a sucker for dem dive bombs. And CC, is always perfect! I had no idea this was coming out, and I'm very very pleasantly suprised! I'm super excited for the future!
Not gunna lie, I'm probably the only fan that doesn't know what happened with Ashley and the band, although I've been intrigued. But I have to agree, him leaving and Lonny taking over hasn't ruined them at all. If anything, I think the last three songs they have released is some of their best work. I loved Vale, apart from one r two songs, but you don't have to like every single song from a band to be a fan. I weren't there from the start, only started listening to them January 2013, but fell in love with them ever since.

No they for sure left. Especially on that last record label, you could tell their songs had no inspiration, they were just edgy to be edgy. The music videos were lacking. As the first band of this genre I ever enjoyed and a long time favorite, I couldn't even listen to some of the stuff they were putting out there for a second. But it does seem they are coming back! Andy for sure seems more into this, like he isn't singing because he has to, but because he enjoys it. Some of the energy is back.

i'm really glad that the band moved on from Ashley instead of separating because of his behaviour. And to anybody that says that Andy was the one in the wrong and not Ashley, you disgust me. Not only because the rest of the band all agreed with Andy, multiple women came out against Ashley, and keep in mind that he's literally lied about his age and been arrested for driving under the influence. Saying that Andy is selfish for kicking Ashley out is just... literally wrong. Because for one, the tweet that they posted last November had stated that they had all come to an agreement that it would be best if Ashley had parted ways, they did not kick him out. Also, you're supporting somebody with all these allegations? The allegations are most likely not false, but even if they were, there are multiple people saying otherwise. edit: Andy has also said that he cares so much about the safety of his fans, his bandmates, and himself. Couldn't agree more. When Ashley left, ngl I was very disappointed but then more and more things that I saw about him (old interviews, his behaviour, etc) completely creeped me out and I'm surprised that I never noticed it sooner. I'm quite glad he’s gone
I love that BVB always stayed true to their roots. So many bands I listened to within a similar spectrum of this genre are all toned out. BVB has never drastically manipulated their style or videos. Maybe outfits, sure, but you cant wear the same shit all the time
I do miss the full face make. I loved that. I mean I know that 10 years ago some people would say they would be better with out the make on and were a little more serious but I must say I loved the makeup with the eyeliner. It made their eyes pop
This song is really remarkable for the band for a few reasons: It clearly sounds like Black Veil Brides, but it's also very new and carries a different tone, a different message. The vocals and melodies are smoother and more refined. I remember hearing a while back that they were going to make a new concept record. If this is the fist single from that concept, then bravo! There is definite growth and development from Wretched and Divine. I think this is proof that a band can last a really long time and maintain its namesake sound while also showing the growth, adaptation, and maturity that comes with time in the music industry. This song is well done, and I can't wait to see what's next on the upcoming album.

I also think this is Andy's best work lyrically, and you can really tell he puts work into his technique vocally. Not gunna lie, I'm probably the only fan that doesn't know what happened with Ashley and the band, although I've been intrigued.
But I have to agree, him leaving and Lonny taking over hasn't ruined them at all. If anything, I think the last three songs they have released is some of their best work. I loved Vale, apart from one r two songs, but you don't have to like every single song from a band to be a fan. I weren't there from the start, only started listening to them January 2013, but fell in love with them ever since.

No they for sure left. Especially on that last record label, you could tell their songs had no inspiration, they were just edgy to be edgy. The music videos were lacking. As the first band of this genre I ever enjoyed and a long time favorite, I couldn't even listen to some of the stuff they were putting out there for a second. But it does seem they are coming back! Andy for sure seems more into this, like he isn't singing because he has to, but because he enjoys it. Some of the energy is back.

i'm really glad that the band moved on from Ashley instead of separating because of his behaviour. And to anybody that says that Andy was the one in the wrong and not Ashley, you disgust me. Not only because the rest of the band all agreed with Andy, multiple women came out against Ashley, and keep in mind that he's literally lied about his age and been arrested for driving under the influence. Saying that Andy is selfish for kicking Ashley out is just... literally wrong. Because for one, the tweet that they posted last November had stated that they had all come to an agreement that it would be best if Ashley had parted ways, they did not kick him out. Also, you're supporting somebody with all these allegations? The allegations are most likely not false, but even if they were, there are multiple people saying otherwise.

This song is really remarkable for the band for a few reasons: It clearly sounds like Black Veil Brides, but it's also very new and carries a different tone, a different message. The vocals and melodies are smoother and more refined. I remember hearing a while back that they were going to make a new concept record. If this is the fist single from that concept, then bravo! There is definite growth and development from Wretched and Divine. I think this is proof that a band can last a really long time and maintain its namesake sound while also showing the growth, adaptation, and maturity that comes with time in the music industry. This song is well done, and I can't wait to see what's next on the upcoming album.
