You answered my question. ... from the complete Beecham 'Messiah" recording." This is so right! I would have gone to sleep by now except for these beautiful uploads! It is just starting to get a bit light, so will take the little dog out for a walk and attempt to get some sleep with some fresh air first. It does not matter about work today. The forecast is as black as ink! Best wishes from George
@@vintagesounds3878 I am not going to propose that you transfer the whole thing, but I shall search out for a complete transfer onto CD. Going on these sections, I imagine that the whole would be worthy of attention. I have Pinnock's estimable recording on DG from 1979, and though it is basically an HIP performance, it does capture some of the necessary reflection. But it is a flyweight compared to this! Best wishes from George
@@georgejohnson1498 I've thought of doing it all: but for this time of year some well-chosen excerpts work well. There have been a few decent CD transfers, though the tendency is to omit the Amen which was issued separately.
Perfectly suitable for the Easter season… sublime music and performance… ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you very much! 🙏🍀
Thanks.
The quality & attention to detail in both the composition & the performance are superb. A privilege to hear it. Thank you for this excellent transfer.
Thanks!

Beecham really nailed it in that recording. Amazing!

@@vintagesounds3878 How could any publication of a Messiah recording omit the Amen chorus?
Best wishes from George
@@georgejohnson1498 I think people weren't aware of the separate issue.
Thanks. I would have liked to have heard the agitato section as well.
