Mogwai would you mind shifting the camera down to cover the pet or something? Your camera tends to block off the opponent's mana sources when it starts to reach 5 or so, which can make it confusing as I'm following along and going "he doesn't have enough for a counter" when he actually did because it was behind your face, lol.
@@jonasharp3 Probably, but couldn't you say the same for Ethereal Absolution? I mean maybe as a sideboard card if you wanna play this in BO3, since it can be really good in certain matchups, but do you really wanna have two of those in this deck?
@@MattyIce213 True, she helps set up the gameplan as opposed to Ethereal Absolution which I think is just in because it's been in more of the meta lately.
@@Spaced92 That was my thought, I'd personally prefer to play two Teysa's as opposed to the Absolutions in a B01 format. Aggro is everywhere in B01, at least from my experience, and Teysa is at least a decent card against aggro with the 4 toughness and the lifelink/vigilance she gives to the spirit tokens. I mean Absolution can wreck aggro if you get that far, but by turn 6 you're probably either dominating or getting dominated by aggro with this kinda deck.
Hey man, sick deck showcase! Looks a lotta fun to play. Ya missed lethal at 25:14 by the way - Swing 4 in the air > opponent at 7, activate priest, opponent at 5, use 2 floating to help cast revenge - bring them down to 3 - activate 2nd priest - opponent at 1 - uptick sorin ^_^
There was even another way, he could have activated priest first, saccing the other priest and one flyer > opponent at 9. use revenge > opponent on 4, attack with the three remaining flyers and activate sorin
Such a cool deck! Thanks Mogwai! Sorin, Rankle and Priest do an amazing job, on the other hand Divine Visitation and Absolution seem to be too high for the curve and won't turn the tides if you are already behind and reach 6 mana. I would trim one of each out and put more Rankle and Sorin. Also as you say, Pontiff seems bad so maybe switching her for Enforcer seems like a good idea. I also feel it lacks some kind of draw engine, yes Priest will draw you cards but it needs proper set up and it's easily disrupted. So maybe adding 3 Midnight Reaper? Maybe a crazy idea but I would also consider Bola's Citadel instead of Absolution, tricky decision.
I've been running an Afterlife deck of my own for a few weeks now and it's done pretty well. I went a different route than yours and have a number of plainswalkers (like the Wander for protection from control). I like your build and I'm thinking I'll integrate your ideas into my deck. Thanks for vid!
My reasoning for the pontiff is the fact that he is a 2 mana way of sacrificing my creatures to enable the big ass angel early in the game. I agree it lacks a consistent drawing engine. Ranko and priest are not as reliable as I wish. And the only reason it doesn't have 3 rankos is because i ran out of wildcards building other decks...
Don't know. It doesn't activate with tokens and i would need and i would need to put at least 3 of to be worth... i don't know what 3 cards i could remove
Hi Mr #Mogwai . Amazing deck there, I played with a similar deck for a long time, at 25:20you could've killed him by sac'ing 2 tokens and using revenge to half the enemy hp, then attack with the other 2 tokens sacrificd them and ping with sorin, rare are the oportunitiea to use revenge instead o revival, ao it's easy to miss, love ur content ♡ keep up the good work
Instead of Pitiless Pontiff would Cruel Celebrant be better? With all the sacrifice and recursion the pings could add up quick. Additionally you could put a Massacre Girl in to board wipe your own board with a Cruel Celebrant or two for some very quick damage.
Love this deck, and excited there's a way to share some of mine with you. I'm super curious to see what you'd do to polish them up if you pick any of mine. BTW Mogwai, the Dimir mill control deck you were considering for mythic championship I've piloted to win a few Saturday standard tournaments 4-0 in paper at my local LGS against the likes of Jund food and Simic flash! Easily my favorite deck of the season. I've seen a few other lists of that archetype and tries some of my own but yours feels the sharpest. Thanks for that!
Idk. At 19:40 .. not playing rankle when opponent outvalues your creatures... To at sac your 1/1 for his minimum 2/2 draw a card... Rankle not sorin is the play.
Hey Mogwai, you have the best evil laughter ever 7:46 lol Also trying to get into the game is that the same version as the mobile or is this a better version. And how can I copy decks and get cards fast to compete like you
How on earth do you not have murderous rider yet? Practically every deck that runs black at all runs at least a 3 of... Practically speaking you can sub Murder in for it but if anything is worth wild rare cards Murderous Rider is one of those cards
@@Buraion Black is the best :(. Tbh i build around what i get usually like if i get 2+ of something good lol. Ah just look for cheap removal to replace rider, pref something that takes out planes walkers and itll pretty much cover the Riders.

He doesn't know the gender of the opponent (although there is a 95% chance they are male). It is proper English to use 'they' or 'their' to refer to a singular pronoun. It has been in use as such since at least the 1300's. As of 2019 it is also in most mainstream dictionaries, MLA, and APA guidelines. I and most people I know have used it since I was a kid. It may not be in use where you live, but I assure you it is something many people use in common parlance. Generally subconsciously.
I'm done with this game. I Never spent a dime and I'm soooo sooo glad i didn't. The original tabletop had its quirks, and probably still does, but something about this game is fundamentally broken. I could get past the jerks that purposely look for exploits such as infinite combos or copy cats that use other peoples ideas, but i am sick and tired of the game play requiring no strategy at all. This comes in many ways, but likely the main one is one that they will not address or think is not broken. The Landfall. The majority of matches in this game are forfeit for that reason. I remember getting land flooded or land weak in the original, but here its much much worse. On average doing daily's i can expect to get either flood or drought every 2-3 games. This is not always at the beginning of the match either so its impossible to tell if you should mulligan or not. Large chunks of your deck are magically blocks of land for 3/4's of the match. If you can get past that big annoyance, guarantee yourself another good portion of your forfeits are going to be basically the first 3-4 turns of the match. Its pretty much to the point now that its completely smoking gun. Whoever gets out first wins. Its funny that they say you can still win with one life, because you totally can, but not by your doing. Your part in playing your deck is a lot less than the lottery of it. I could easily go on of other things that just make you want to rage quit this game, but honestly id rather go buy some actual cards at this point and play that way. At least then i would know the algorithms were actually working correctly. Basically the current formula is this: 1: Forfeit most of your matches Due to internal issues with the mechanics of the game 2: win your daily's by cherry picking matches 3: spend that money if you want cards that don't come in basic Packs to cheese as best you can. 4. rinse repete above. I used to love this game. It never made me rage or feel so frustrated as if i were some newb that didn't know what i was doing. It used to matter how you built your deck, and though land falling can happen, it was much more rare in the tabletop i remember.. Bout the only good thing i can say about this game is that its free. Probably has to be though, its not good enough for my money. If dancing cards and animations is what your in it for though, its got that for sure.
Why though, what makes you assume that he didn't just want to express that this was a good game and didn't want to stress about expressing that in a 3 second time window? Learn some chill, if he had spammed it /or "your go" when Mogwai was assiging blockers -alright, but not like that.
