    Just taking a minute to thank the Banana. I've learnt a lot watching valorant vods since the beginning. i'm not a ranked demon (I barely play) but I enjoy the strategic aspects of the game. I recently jumped back in my favorite game, Tarkov, with the release of their tactical shooter, and I found myself much better after a long break, because I can still apply what I've learnt about reading the enemy team, adapting my plays to theirs, coordinating with my teammates and their utilities and capabilities, etc...
    even in a different game, it's change the way I look at the strategic approach of my team plays in a video game, and that's something no other coach even got close to.
    keept it up Banana man, merry christmas, and a succesful 2024!

    • @TechSupportDave
      @TechSupportDave 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@utsavmisra1292 agent choice doesn't really matter as much if you're below diamond/ascendant.
      Playing Reyna (maybe Iso now too?) is completely fine in low elo. Presumably, if he has been watching Woohojin, then he has been playing Reyna these 4 months, and now is probably trying out other agents that make more impact in mid/high elo.
      If you're looking for an agent to play because you're also Diamond, most duelists are your best bet for solo queue (Jett or Raze are best, but Phoenix and Yoru are fine too, just not on every map), for controllers obviously Omen and Viper are the best, for sentinels I'd say just avoid Deadlock, for initiators I have no idea but it probably doesn't overly matter (you might have a hard time finding gecko vods to watch though).

      For solo queue ranked, maining the Duelist role is best if you're looking to rank up the fastest. However, if you want to choose specific duelists to play (from what you said, it seems that you don't), and you can't choose even after watching pros play every duelist, I would either just pick a Duelist based on your team's composition in agent select (Avoid Neon though), or choose based on the abilities you typically enjoy using against your enemies. For team comps, you basically just gotta make sure you have a "dive" type duelist (any duelist that can enter sites with movement abilities, such as Jett, Raze or even Yoru), if your team already has one, just pick the duelist you're best at.
      Whatever Duelist you decide to play, just don't forget that it ultimately comes down to your aim, movement, general gamesense, positioning, etc, until Immortal. Learning how to act based on various situations is the easy part, but the execution is ultimately what matters. Study pros that play your agent, take their ideas, learn to do what's "correct" in various situations, it's that simple until you become REALLY good at the game.

    • @NN-yt9bl
      @NN-yt9bl 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TechSupportDave im totally down to pick always pick duelist ( i would probably pick jett or pheonix as i really love oping and flashes ) but wouldn't that ruin team comps , lets say game starts , we have an instalock reyna and jett and a cypher , i always pick last so if the other person picks controller i go initiator . But now if im going to pick duelist regardless , wouldn't that make the team comp horrible , and there's also a risk of my toddler teammates getting tilted 2 minutes into a game because of team comp no?
      Thank you so much for your feedback btw and whatever answer you give me i will stick with . It's beem on the back of my mind to pick one agent but never duelist and that's a great idea , im just having doubts because of team comp

      @@NN-yt9bl "Wouldn't that make the team comp horrible, and there's also a risk of my toddler teammates getting tilted 2 minutes into a game because of team comp no?"
      [TL;DR at the bottom. I tried to keep this short but I'm autistic, I can't think in a straight line LOL]
      *1. Unless you're a strong Immortal player (or better) then team composition will not be as big of a factor as most people think.*
      Even 5 duelist comps are actually completely fine at most levels of the game, and that's ESPECIALLY if it's below Immortal. In some cases, you might even be better-off with many Duelists on your team. While team composition is *a* factor, it's not an easily-preventable one, because everyone plays different agents in solo queue, and the 5 random players you will get in your lobby will rarely play the agents that align EXACTLY with what a "perfect team comp" is perceived to be.
      The most useful factors to look at are going to be everything *BUT* team composition: Mechanics, Skill, Adaptability, Your team's overall agent familiarity, Teamwork, Comms, Strategy, Pre-round planning, or y' know, something as simple as whether your teammates WANT to win, etc etc... Issues that may arise from these factors are EASILY-PREVENTABLE on an INDIVIDUAL level at the very least, only as long as YOU as an individual neglect the small team composition factor, and you only focus on playing your best individually on a few select agents, in order to maximise your own potential, then it will be up to your teammates to do the same. And believe it or not, there's many people like this in comp.
      *2. What your toddler teammates do is not your fault nor your problem. If they're not playing nice, that's their problem, not yours.*
      You'll probably only play with these people like once or twice in your life, and realistically you won't be getting throwers every game, so if you're not prioritising your own performance in a solo queue environment, then you're quite literally just becoming one of those players that just 'don't really know what they're doing as much as they could be'. It's quite literally counter-productive to fill, as opposed to playing the agent you have most experience and proficiency with. You're kinda 'disabling' yourself because when you do get normal games, because you'll just end up not creating as much impact as you could be. If anyone has a problem with the team comp, they are completely free to dodge. You can dodge too if they clearly aren't gonna play nice.
      You can try improving the situation by saying things like "dw guys I'll carry, it's chill, let's just try our best and relax ok?" but usually it will depend on your own decision-making skills. Usually the weirdos in my games dodge before I can say or do anything, so personally I'm pretty lucky. You are only doing what will make your chances of winning HIGHER. What your normie ass teammates think is none of your concern, and if they feel like throwing and being toxic just because they have failed as humans to NOT have average thinking processes and attitudes, then that's their problem. You report them, then you focus on your own gameplay, after the game you move on, take a break, reset, etc. Statistically, you WILL end up winning more games as opposed to filling, your normie teammates will obviously never get that, and filling to make them happy really won't change anything as you're just trading out your own gameplay to make some guy less dramatic (they obviously won't necessarily play better or carry you, you would be dumb to rely on something like that)
      *3. Extra Information.*
      Even the best players can be REALLY bad if they fill, some may even end up being completely clueless. If you watched enough Woohojin then you may even know some good examples yourself, this video as well as the recent Gecko VOD review are the most recent examples I can think of myself. This video is a good example because you can just tell that the game may have had a different outcome had the Omen played their role PERFECTLY. A regular Radiant Omen main may have even helped his team WIN that game, just because they would have much more than just the "Basics" mastered, so they would be able to utilise their kit to the fullest potential, at the highest level. At the very least, they would have been able to make things MUCH harder for the enemy. OFC other factors exist, and it's hard to say exactly what would happen if the enemy Omen played perfectly, but just the fact that their Util kinda sucked (even if it's on a very simple/basic level) is relevant to my point.
      Flawed team composition is NOT easily-preventable EVEN IF you personally were to main Controller or Initiator. Remember: Just because you have smokes, doesn't necessarily make your team composition good. I mained smokes for 300 comp hours and it made no difference because ultimately when I was in low elo nobody really cared about that stuff. Those who did were cringe. We stay away from cringe. It's kinda funny to even want that in solo queue, because even Radiant isn't VCT. However, in Mid Immortal solo queue, smokes do start to become the minimum requirement. You'd have to ask a better player as to why that is exactly. Though I don't think the "Why" is important.
      Ofc it's also completely valid to play comp if you are in the process of learning an agent, but if you care about other people's comp experience, then just use an alt account or play some unrated/swiftplays first, and prepare by either using playbooks from one of Woohojin's analysis videos, or by watching pro vods yourself first. Or both if you're a "nard" (nerd + chad). Or should I call it "Churd"? (Chad + Nerd). Idk. I'm not funny, I know. FYI I'm a professional typist so thinking about this took me more time than typing it. And also it's Monday in the UK and no work.
      *Disclaimer:* I'd also appreciate if anyone corrected any incorrect information, though I doubt many immo/radiants will read this. Everything I know is basically from coaches and players like Woohojin, Charlatan, pro players, etc, but sometimes I misremember things or maybe even misinterpret. I'm not perfect.
      *TL;DR: Team comps don't really matter much until Immortal, even then, mostly smokes become the minimum requirement. Maining a role is the statistically-correct choice, if your teammates don't get that, then that's their problem. If they throw a fit, they can dodge, and if they don't, you dodge. If you can't dodge, you report, you focus on yourself during the game, and after the game you move on, reset, take a break, play another, etc. Realistically, you won't get the same people two games in a row.*

      @@TechSupportDave my friend , you left me speechless. I am a changed man from now on haha, from now until the end of the act and next act and on I will be sticking to one role and one role only and do my best to stick to as few agents as possible within that role .
      Thank you so much you have cleared every question i had .❤️

    I liked watching your videos but I quit valorant and don't have the time to spend on valorant analysis videos anymore. You're doing great. I'll take my leave now. You helped me a lot in understanding how to think ingame using maths.

    Fun fact subroza played open for tsm. There’s probably a reason he misses certain util, like the 1 way. It wasn’t as popular when he was playing omen a lot. The missed flash is most definitely just he’s in a rush or something. To assume subroza doesn’t know how to through that flash is unlikely.

    the jumps like in 52:22 are a consistent problem in Asuna's plays. at some point I had made a whole compilation of him jumping unnecessarrily/unintentionally in pro games and losing fights/rounds cuz of it.
    ik i'm a lowley diamond and blah blah blah, but it happens quite a lot for someone to not have noticed it.

      In pro games he’ll jump out to sacrifice himself to mess up the enemies crosshair placement so hit teammate can get the kills
