    I have had a bunch of precognitive dreams that I dismissed as plane old weirdness up until I had chronic depression and basically thought myself into a job that put me on the bridge I wanted to jump off so badly, at this time I was also finding all these videos that taught me how to think in a way that completely fixed me and from that point on I have basically created 5 different specific intentional positive events in my life, I just accept that my thoughts have the potential to directly effect the world around me in a way I don't currently understand.

    I recently learned about this term synchronicity and jung. There was a point in my life where I kept having physic dreams about major life events, and a dream of my sister having a son and my grandpa dying before it happened and a dream about my grandma dying of a illness a little before it actual happened.
    When I had those dreams both times I could remember them in good detail and felt a strong urge of importance. That they were really significant and I shouldn't forget them. When I had those dreams I felt really compelled to share them with whosoever would listen.
    And because I did that when the dreams came to pass I had alot of witnesses that experienced the strangeness of it with me. Something else to mention though is that my grandma always talk about my mom having physic dreams when she was younger. And my grandpa was also known to have them too from time to time.
    Its just really interesting. All I know is though we might not fully understand the world and existence. There is something more behind it than what we can physically see.

      I share the same experience with dreams as well. I couldn't have worded it much better than you did, it's a very similar experience to yours. There were those dreams that I just knew had some kind of meaning, significance or warning to it when I wake up, or those that I knew were merely "harmless" or just some expressions of my subconscious.. With the first ones I just feel like I have to tell someone and discuss them. But unfortunately most people would immediately dismiss it saying they're just dreams.
      Most of the time the dreams represent my reality (or should I say "ours") as symbols, so in order to understand them I also have to know what specific person or thing means symbolically. For instance, there's a friend of mine who represents maturity and another who represents acceptance. If they appear in my dreams, then it's certain that I have to work with those specific qualities in my reality at that moment.
      I just find it very interesting also, I find it fascinating and sometimes mysterious.

    I experience many synchronicities.
    For example some words came to mind while working. Not 2 minutes later a song came on the system where these words I was just thinking about kept being repeated. Another time I had a feeling to walk to the entrance of the building as I was thinking of a certain person, as he walked in. It's crazy. I love synchronicities 🥰

    I'm also writing a thesis on the phenomenon known as "Pareidolia". I've developed an unmistakable capability over the years of seeing and drawing - while pointing the "form" that occurs as the Norm in my Observations. My father worked with Carl Jung - my father Rolf R. Loehrich (1913-1995) dedicated his dissertation on FAUST to Carl Jung after Jung accepted the honor my father presented which led to a Scholarship in his field of Psychoanalysis. Books by my father Rolf R. Loehrich: Oneirics and Psychosomatics; 6 Volumes of The Exercitium Cogitandi; The Secret of Ulysses; Modus Operandi; The Mathematics of Stacks. "Synchronicity is an acausal principle that can be defined by a "meaningful coincidence" which appears between a mental state and an event occuring in the external world." - Carl Jung.

I learned that supposedly some people don't experience pareidolia, much as some people claim to never having heard an interior voice ie. they've never had an interior dialogue. In your studies has this been revealed?

    Went through a period of time of around two years where it seemed like absolutely everything was synchronized with what was in my mind. I thought I was going insane and was schizophrenic. Went to multiple doctors and had an MRI along with other tests. They said other than some anxiety there wasn't anything wrong with me. Sure didn't feel that way. These were not positive events. It was almost as if reality itself was mocking me. The things I witnessed have no good explanation either. The only time it wasn't happening is when I was home by myself, which is where I wound up most of the time by the end of it. I began to beg to whatever was listening to please just stop and to my surprise it did, almost immediately. That's another clue that it wasn't just in my head. Yes, your mind can have a profound effect on you but going back to schizophrenia someone who has that can't just will it away. To this day I still have no idea what any of that was or what was doing it or why. Guess I'll find out whenever I get to the other side.

  • @romanticandperky
    @romanticandperky 2 ปีที่แล้ว +37

    I've been having an intense and emphatic relationship with synchronicity, and I can trace it back to the time that my family moved into the same town as Linda Blair of 'The Exorcist'. Yes, Mr. Riddle, our minds may just be comparable to 'quantum computers', and there maybe something to this 'quantum entanglement'; but, as I understand it, Dr. Jung also said this about synchronicity: "It's God's way of getting our attention." Also, apparently, Dr. Jung had a near-death experience, which encouraged him to consider that there is a spiritual realm which maybe trying to contact us. In other words, that this isn't necessarily just about the mind creating realities which manifest themselves through quantum mechanics; but that there is a spiritual realm which attempts to contact and interact with us. Science and spirituality have long since been considered mutually exclusive, but synchronicity may very well be one of the 'bridges' between the two.

    • @JustinRiddle
      @JustinRiddle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Agreed! I am looking for these bridges. Hopefully emerging science holds more clues. It's cool to see hyper-rationale people like Jung - top of his game in academy - get forced to acknowledge something unknown, something fundamentally irrational

    • @romanticandperky
      @romanticandperky 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@JustinRiddle It isn't 'irrational'; it's 'superrational', or supernatural. There is a spiritual realm that is real, but which has been primarily known by faith. Objective science will eventually prove that there is a God, that 'He' is still involved in our lives, that we were created with 'souls', so on. There is a lot concerning synchronicity that does not evolve from the subconscious mind, or the power of our thoughts manipulating subatomic particles to reformulate around our wills. Jung was on to something when he said that synchronicity was "God's way of getting our attention".

    • @spiralsun1
      @spiralsun1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I call it “god talking through the universe and life”. I decoded the pattern in the universe, and anyone can see that, but the pattern and language for you can be different. But somehow I see that too in other people. I see their synchronicity when they don’t. Then I realized why. What synchronicity actually is.

    • @vandrosiglio
      @vandrosiglio ปีที่แล้ว

      with you completely except a little thing. when you say it's god way to get our attention which is dualistic, i'd sat that's a manifestation of God.

    • @romanticandperky
      @romanticandperky ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vandrosiglio I'm not sure exactly what you mean by 'dualistic'. Though I am a Christian, and a trinitarian, I espouse to be a monotheist. Synchronicity may manifest itself in more then one way, but God remains One. In other words, God may use more than one way to get our attention, but He is One; and many of us Christians tend to believe there's only one way to get to Him.

      @@markstipulkoski1389 Ha-ha! No, this synchronicity is one that 'knocked my socks off,' since I had been meaning to work on reading this book about synchronicity for some time (weeks), and only got around to diving in properly on the exact same day that Justin uploaded this video. I was blessed and fortunate to be able to participate in one of Dr. Riddle's classes that he created and taught at UC Berkeley, and I subscribe to his channel, since I share a passion for consciousness. Despite knowing some of the authors of other works on the topic of synchronicity, I have not read their material--so this particular synchronicity stands out for me as being noteworthy. I would attribute the precise nature of Justin's video premiering on the very day I was reading the book about synchronicity to possibly be due to our prior entanglement--both in that class, and also having worked on organizing consciousness conferences and events, and creating a video together. My guess here would be that because Justin Riddle is special to me, we might expect to see just this very sort of synchronicity occur. I created a page on my website decades ago on this topic of synchronicity that you can check out if you like at: realityshifters.com/pages/articles/synchronicity.html

      I had a lot of far more meaningful and less controversial and numerological synchronicities, but at the same time I'm not diving into any numerological stuff and trying to accept only cases that could hardly be explained in the accidentalist way (I'm a student of genetics discipline where even slighties transversions may mean something utterly different)so I have trening in how to test statistical significance and don't get lured by similarities between accidents that have nothing in common.
      So that's my advice for everyone.
      But nevertheless I had numerous ψphenomena that are hard to explain by accident. For example I loose my ID in the tram as a high school student (without wallet, other documents and with no meaningfull information about me no phone number, no home address, only my photo, surname and ID serie number).
      I was also not on any social media at that time. My mother yelled at me, called me a moron and well I could do nothing...
      Except... That several hours later I felt a sharp urge to go on bicycle and when I was going away from my house I felt another impulse to go into the odd direction... And I saw a man I could not help but slow down and stare at him...
      And then he screamed -Hey stop!
      And he was the guy that picked up my ID far away from my house we met in the distance from both his and my house, had no idea how to track me down and it looked as though we both departed simultaneously to meet each other!
      My other a bit uncomfortable ψlike experiences are... well I'm sometimes able to see unfamiliar car registration numbers before it turns around the corner to the point I could see it.
      It's again easy to fall psychotic or exaggerate it. But I tested it for statistical significance and there's clearly something to it. I didn't like it at first I thought it implies Idealism, but then I learned about Penrose and Hameroff and Bems papers about students being able to predict where randomly generated picture will appear before algorithm even gets started. I also know all about Rupert Sheldrake dog experiment, Anton Zeilinger Bell Distant Quasar experiments and well I'm not Dualist obviously but I consider myself rather Cousciousness Physicalist (in Sir Roger Penrose sense) World is real and can be known and explained by Physics, there's plenty of underestimated discoveries in parapsychology. Although I'm definitely skeptical about more extreme stuff like reincarnation or psychokinesis.

    The warning against psychosis and schizophrenic episodes is well made, at the end.
    For extremely personal reasons I would add. Yesterday, whilst extraordinarily tired but yet mentally active, I had a series of experiences so strange that it reminded me to dip into Jung once again, for example ordering two of the 4 books I now see on the reading list. Not so odd that. But yesterday the series of thoughts then highly unlikely coincidences (seen, heard, spoken) at, of all things, a day consumed with stand up comedy, performance and writing. This lecture is the first time for perhaps many decades, that I have been able to put some shape to a numistic 'thing' that I 'knew' in childhood which had something very muchbto do with meaning (I can now articulate to myself), it's an enormous hidden part of myself. Almost impossible to explain, but something utterly beautiful, sustaining. This all sounds a bit mad to me as I write it. But I'm a highly functioning person, rational in the everyday world, holding down a fabulous job etc. I am also a trained counsellor (non practicing due) which has sparked the thought that my (despite my training being orthodox Freudian, with no truck for Jung), the University faculty linked me up with a Jungian psychoanalyst for my own required therapy. The tutor asked me "how on earth did that happen?" How on earth, indeed. Much younger me (at 21, I had a psychotic breakdown at LSE) would have been drawn down a sink hole of bizarre thoughts, and I am now defended against such madness. Hence I welcomed the warning at the end re psychosis. That all said, thus has opened up a fascinating exploration that has intense meaning for me.

    i too did a physics degree many years ago and i had the usual 'geek' logic brain, and i remember thinking that synchronicity was a meaningless and contradictory concept. In my 40's i went through a kind of frustration at being a logic geek. It wasnt satisfying enough, although i loved science and maths still. I started to mix with 'freakies' and 'woo woo' types on the internet and locally. I was a misfit to them even more than normal people. Nevertheless my disatisfaction must have openend me up to at least try new possibilities. And then one notable day i had a synchronicity. I couldnt dismiss it as coincidence and i could find no rational explanation either. It isnt a meaningful coincidence it is an acausal significance.
    Since then i moved from science to philosophy, but in a personal way. I think channels like these (because of youtube) enable us to avoid those boring dated so badly written old books. Thanks for your videos.
    yes. if we see ourselves as quantum computers (and why not?) in a mega quantum computer, then all kinds of new experiences and explanations can arise.
    Synchronicity is part of my life now. It is often very confusing as to what it means, and sometimes takes years to figure it out! But since synchronicity is acausal .... what matters if it remains confusing and sometimes takes years? It isnt time and logic based like an ordinary experience.
    My 'number' is the common synchronicity nunber 33. many share it.
    My son suffers from psychosis. If we engage with synchronicity then how can we dismiss psychotic episodes outright? It is a difficult position.
    Psychoanalysts and therapists experience synchronicities all the time with their clients. It is often an academic and professional secret despite Jung's openess.

    Justin - you are absolutely correct - and I've recently realised that I have become a Daoist. I was lucky enough to have had an 'out of body' experience when I was a child so I can relate to all of this. However, it does not go far enough to assert that there is a 'supernatural' force in the universe which is guiding and manipulating us all: I call it the 'Force of Nurture' rather than 'synchronicity'. I do not try to control anything in my life, but I daily follow the Guidelines of Problacism for my ‘inner voice', or by incredibly unlikely events, coincidences and opportunities which come from this force (synchronicity). Fundamentally I only do things to indiscriminately help others I meet, without any expectation of recognition or reward, as I believe they have been 'sent' to me. I'm now 65 years old and it happens to me so often that I'm not even amazed by it anymore - I expect 'the unbelievable' to happen to me now and I live a totally fulfilled life without any worries, anxieties or fears for the future.

I literally had a break down, massive life change and moved provinces because of it all. Then I spiralled. A huge part of me feels like this was supposed to happen, and a push to where I needed to be. But I am uncertain. I am better now, but I am still experiencing synchronicities and I am working really hard mentally to disconnect from them. I still see repetetive numbers and today when I was driving I was thinking about something in my past and as I thought the name Jessica the radio host said "on the line is jessica" Which led me to your video today and to me what stood out was what you said in the end. Numbers 3-6 work in the aether background always counter-balancing each other out while numbers 1,2,4,5,7 & 8 are the physical manifestations of what happens in our 3D realm. 9 is ultimate God or Source which makes 3 & 6 work with each other.

    I have an intuition that synchronicity is related to quantum time travel. Ur brain only stores in memory what it believes will be useful in the future. That's why future and past often exist in pairs in ur perception, bcs if you don't use a past memory again in the future, you'll eventually forget it and it's like it never happened.

    It is extroidnary that when we yearn to and genuinely seek truth, knowledge and understanding, especially if we have been let down by the institutions/teachers of the rational world , it is then that we can indeed begin to be led by a higher source that definately communes with us through synchronicity.
    I really am fascinated by your experience with 343, for me it's 333. And for me as a Christian relates to our Truine God. This is where the act of mindfully and heartfelt prayer is very evident of this connection for even though I might not get what I may want I do receive the knowing/nudging that allows me to move positively forward in the event/challenge that grows me in a very satisfying way. Emotional intelligence is a significant aspect to these experiences. The negative emotions of frustration, anxiousness and despair (all of which cause the prefrontal cortex to shut down) receed as to enable the brain to work more effectively with the heart. A hormonal/electrical connection that is most definately impacted by and produces its own resonance/frequency.

    My spiritual journey started in 2020 after my cousin passed. But the things that happened after that were so weird I really had to just stop and think so deeply about what was and still is happening. I've heard so many synchronicities and can't find any that are more aligned or weirder than mine. They are just straight up bold. Its gotten to the point where I could be speaking to a friend and after the deep conversation or sharing my wisdom i will ask them what the time is. Knowing it's gonna be a weird number. Without looking at a the time for a long period. So they'll look at the time and it'll be like 444. They'll be so amazed but because it happens so frequent to me I usually know the universe has my back in that sense. Or I can just feel it. So then I'll be like there goes our confirmation. They get so amazed. Some people in my life are so irritated because it something none one can explain and the experience is so on point. I know it's not anything delusional. But I seriously need a math perspective when it comes to the synchronicities Ive documented. And what my birthday and my cousin's birthday as well as his passing. The times we were born play significant factors in the information I've obtained & uncovered. With my birth chart. Significant downloads I've received out of no where on specific dates that align with earths axis and solstices have played significant factors. Even the most Uninterested person has to question reality if they've been in my shoes. wish I could share my information with someone. To add to all this I have had 4 near death experiences since 2020. Plus I do tarot as well and my readings get weirdly accurate. And the messages that come in for me. I'm a Pisces. With significant placements to Einstein I barely found out. I have an aquarius stellium in my 9th house. Sun in the 10th house and a Moon Mercury thing going on the 12th house.

    A personal case of synchronicity:
    So in my country basically all the cities use the same words and names for streets. When I moved to a big city to go to college slowly but surely I started to get acquainted with people and places to go and so on. I frequently went out to different bars and so on until I found my place in the world: a place where people gathered every Tuesday to practice languages (I'm a polyglot), play chess, eat pizza, and dance tango and salsa.
    I knew that this bar was located on a street with the same name as my actual home address but I never gave it much importance. Years went by and with them countless experiences and people came and went for me in that place.
    Sadly due to an accident and some irregularities the bar had to close. When I found out about it in a newspaper article, the article stated what had happened along with some extra information and with it the full address of that bar: It was the exact same address as the one I have in my hometown, same street name and same number. Unknowingly I had been going for years to a place that felt like home, it had everything I wanted and gave me so much joy and friends; and coincidentally, it had the same address as my home.
    Go figure

    I have had and still seem to be having complex and constellating synchronicities. For example: a mushroom trip I had over a year ago, I saw an octopus that seemed to be made of energy or light and could fold inwards, expand outwards, and change shape. It told a complex, multilayer story by doing this.
    Then a year later I went to a conference about magic mushrooms and there was a speech by a man and he basically told the same story that the octopus told me in a trip. And he also used an octopus as an analogy to tell the story. It’s on video as well. I even went to touch on that subject again and mention that there was a synchronicity here for me on the microphone at the end of his speech. Then as I’m talking, he said straight to my face in front of 100 other people completely out of the blue “and twin flames are two people of the same octopus”. The twin flame journey is what led me to that conference. But that conference had nothing to do with twin flames. Idk why he said that but it was very much relevant to my life in that moment and still is and it was very much meaningful for me. It literally gave me the direction I would like my life to face moving forward. Like my life’s purpose. Everything that ever happened in my life seemed to make sense in that moment
    There are so many other things connected to this^ but that’s the very short version.

  • @HoughChuck

    Thank you, Justin Michael. :) Your understanding and explanation of entanglement helped me. I would offer a possible example of entanglement. We all watch movies with sound tracks. This occurs because the first motion film cameras and projectors did not capture or reproduce sound. Thus "silent" pictures were accompanied by live music. Later when the physical medium was able to add sound to the motion the presence of background music continued. Now the movie sound track is an integral part of telling the story. I can't imagine movies without sound tracks yet no one set out to create that experience. To me it is an entanglement.
    I love sound tracks so when I am engaged in mental work I add my own sound track to an ordinary day by streaming music where I am. The music at times hits a cord with me and becomes a platonic expansion of my experience in the moment. I don't control the music or the exact task I am doing but the results are a moment of entanglement where I am changed and measured by a non-local influence.

    Perhaps the mechanism for synchronicity, noncomputational, and entanglement is that we are living in a physical 4D world (excluding time as a dimension). How would a 2D creature in Flatland experience and explain a 3D rock falling in front of one's path? The 2D creature can only see left and right, up front and back, but not up and down. The 3D rock suddenly appear out of nowhere. Created mysteriously!

    Interesting topic - I take synchronicity to be that one is just tuned into a particular thing. Say a friend points out an unusual model of car, which you never really noticed before, then afterwards, you start seeing them everywhere. Not because of some sort of non-local effect, but just because you are aware of them now, and so keep noticing then - before you just weren’t aware of them and didn’t pay them any attention.
    It’s a bit like asking someone to go into a room and note everything that’s a particular colour, until you get tasked with that activity, you wouldn’t specifically notice things of that colour, because they have no significance to you.
    Again with Jung’s scarab beetle, if his patient hadn’t told him about that dream, then the scarab beetle at the window would have had no significance. So in my opinion, synchronicity is basically just coincidence, to which we give significance because we are tuned in to a particular ‘thing’.

    During quarantine I was working out a lot, mostly jumping rope and it started to bother my knees. I remembered an old coworker (years back) telling me how she used to take glucosamine for her knees because squats would bother her knees. I made a mental note and the next time I was at the park a stranger that lives a block over ran towards me while I was in a wall sit. He asked me if I play soccer. I said no and he said he played soccer and they made them wall sit all the time. Then he said, here, and placed 4 bottles of glucosamine chondroitin msm with turmeric on the park table. He turned around and ran back home. Four bottles! From a thought I never uttered to a single person, still super weird.

    I also have Crazy experiences with synchronisity. It’s like what, I can’t explain. Like thinking about my friends which I didn’t hear from for a long time which send me a message the the next day. Or when I was in love with someone and I thought about him so much and intense and he wrote me a message the same night. After months. Or seeing a person randomly that I just thought of. For me it’s like telepathy on another level or a emotional bond which you can communicate non verbal with. Or feel all the frequencies. Or another thing was, that I strangely subconsciously knew that my grandma and dog will die before they actually passed away. Or also opportunities, people and so on. Or when I had an subconscious intention with a strong feeling before an event that I wishes for, than it happened. Sometimes even super fast. I think we as human need just to me clear and know what we want and we get it. Along with all the synchronisity.

    I think what Penrose means by "non-computation" is coming to know something through intuition rather than direct observation or measurement (math). I'm bad at numbers but have a very intuitive grasp of some higher mathematical concepts. I'm guessing the intuitive understanding comes about through tapping into higher dimensions somehow. Because I definitely didn't work out any calculations.
    "We're seeing some meaningful coincidence out there. But really, it's that your mind is tapping into some meaningful construct. And then that meaningful construct is some influential force in the world around us." yes, exactly what I was trying to say. You do a great job of articulating these thoughts through speaking. I have to write it out.

    Could synchronicity be another was to say that according to your faith is it done unto you, or another way to describe the law of attraction? Or maybe there is a conservation of information law at work in the universe so that in order to limit too much entropy/information, sometimes the information contained in thoughts and dreams are shared with information contained in the world.

      @@JustinRiddle Or maybe it a matter of context, how some event or knowledge fits in with the rest of the world/reality. How much of our surroundings provide answers to the questions we ask? Or maybe there is some teleology involved. If we know the purpose for why certain events are happening, maybe that suggests details we would not otherwise know.

    The driving force of synchronicity is to find our way out of your bullshit to your life path. Synchronicity adds some adventure to at times a very dull life experience. If we didn't have these mysteries to figure out life would be very boring and have no adventure in it. Our minds are made of puzzles and puzzles can preoccupy our minds and add an interesting curve to living our life. It's just part of the awakening experience like angel numbers and ayahuasca.

    Luv that 343 multi-layered complex synch. They can get so intense and super strange that they begin to sound like ideas of reference, and, if not for the strong "external" aspects of the synchs they might be dismissed as such. But that doesn't really work because those super freaky confluences with super personally appropriate material hint at a substrate of reality which is driving them, which I think is kind of that everything is consciousness produced, and if consciousness can produce all the various symbols that it does in dreams, including seeming space-time itself, it can produce symbolic stuff when "awake." Would love to send you a little booklet I did on this. Great video. (When I just hit the like button, it was like number 755, which was the final historic home run total of my boyhood favorite baseball player, the player that broke Babe Ruth's record in my boyhood, me being a sports stat freak and often experiencing such things as significant and apropos, even as "markers" of some kind.)

    I have a feeling that we live in a theoretical solid state universe of every possibility, a bit like a bunch of illusory flat screen TVs stacked together with every pixel having the potential to turn on to create part of reality when needed. Space is not empty but packed with potential, and we are only ever seeing or interpreting part of that potential in an abstract code we call reality. Two things that may appear to us to be separate, apart, influencing each other, in a synchronistic or entangled fashion, may be occupying the same theoretical space, and may in fact be somewhat the same thing.

He use that to explain the most weird stuff about psi research like the decline effect and others. He seems to have some success in his predictions and he have been replicated. What he proposes explain synchronicity and telepathy and PK (they could be a kind of synchronicity eq. a kind of quantum entanglement at macro scale) and why we cant really reproduce them in lab. That's why we could not reach consensus on the matter ...

    If you think of electrons as photons trapped in a medium, and then realize that somehow photons have been all over the place and so have electrons... well then we can assume that the very electrons that pass through your nervous system, or provide the energy for your life, or even the electrons being used for me to write this comment or for someone to see it, means that maybe those electrons have been through someone else's mind or in a different place in history or the world... maybe if there's a number of these electrons or maybe they are entangled, that could lead to synchronicity... kind of like some of the water molecules we intake are likely to have passed through a dinosaur and been a component of their urine at some point in time...
    Edit: clarification: i mean if there's more than one (maybe a lot more than one) of these electrons in the same place at one time it could lead to synchronicity effects...?

    I had a wonderful synchronicity with dolphins. I went to a shaman drum circle to discover my spirit animal. I had a vision of swimming with the dolphins. The shaman told me after that she swims with dolphins every year. I was telling a skeptical friend about it years later trying to describe synchronicity. As I was telling him an infomercial came on his TV about swimming with dolphins! "See it is happening right now!" He just stubbornly shrugged and said, "That's just coincidence." I laughed and said, "Exactly!"

    True randomness means there are coincidences as well. In any other case, there is no randomness. If you flip a coin multiple times, you ll get streaks of the number, for example you will get Heads 5 times in a row. But that what makes the coin toss random. If you got only 2 times heads in a row, it would form a pattern.

    Is it synchronicity or coincidence: 2 similar scenarios: (scenario #1) Too many times I can count when I walk outside my front door or come home, I come across the same guy (a neighbor from another street) who happens to be walking his dog directly in front of my house. He's almost never anywhere else down the street or up the street or at the corner, but directly in front of my house when I walk out to go somewhere or coming home back from somewhere. (scenario #2) Again, too many time I can count, when I go to the pool (outdoor pool in summer, indoor rec pool non-summer seasons) I'm there when this other neighbor guy (who lives on the same street as the neighbor in scenario #1) is also at the pool. Same thing happens when I go to the rec gym. In both these scenerios, I have almost no conversation with these individuals (usually just a wave), but I feel this is more than just coincidence. I don't believe that I cause these events, and I don't even expect it, but then it occurs! Not every time, but too often to be simply coincidences. It feels acausal, and I don't ascribe any meaning to these events, yet it fits with what you were saying about entanglement, and I have no control over it. I try not to let it bother me, but it does seem weird. So I'm uncomfortable with it.

    I wanted to make a point about entanglement between brains- isn’t there a phenomena where people in a group (or even just two in a conversation) begin to sync eeg brainwave patterns? What’s that all about? So much is going on in reality that we have no idea about, but syncing electrical brain patterns MIGHT be a tiny clue?

      Yeah a lot of major neuroscience labs are starting to study inter-brain synchrony. I have to admit then when I started reading these new papers, it seemed kinda hokey, but there's a critical mass of them it seems and perhaps there is something to it! Like synchronicity it seems to be a phenomenon without a mechanism

    But hey, this seems to me to repeat Peirce's triad! What is the difference between Peirce's Representamen (physical), Object (i.e. perception or mental) and Interpretant (i.e. meaning or Platonic) and Penrose's worlds? I see perfect correspondence.

    I tend to agree with most of the stuff that you said and synchronicity happens all the time, but what explains the flying bug? What manifested the existence of the bug?

    When 2 entangled particles are separated in space at near light speeds the time dilation should be be noticeable. Their 'nows' will be different ? If a quantum measurement is made on one particle does that instantly dictate the state of the other particle..even across time ?
