I know nothing of opera. Unlike most here I was not taught to appreciate the arts growing up.. i come from the “hood” but something about this performance, the vocals and the lyrics entrances me. It’s beautiful.
My mother introduced me into the opera. I remember every morning riding me to school, listening to Pavarotti, Maria Callas, Alfredo Kraus in the car. Seeing my mother's face with some tears... now it's me who gets emotional listening to these superb masterpieces.
My grandpa used to listen to Italian music like this, and fondly I remember all those lazy summer afternoons I spent with him listening to Italian music while playing a little airplane game on my iPod while also hanging out with him and just enjoying life (most notably an artist named teo) . He passed away earlier this year in February surrounded by family and listening to Italian music. I miss you Grandpa.
Damn, now I'm crying like an idiot. My grandfather also always listened to Pavarotti and classical music in general. Every morning while he drove me to school we listened to these songs. Then when we arrived in front of the school gate he combed my hair to fix my crazy curls. It's impossible to put into words how much I miss him.
Almost unbelievable! Any rendition of this aria performed by Maestro Pavarotti is beautiful enough for me, but this one, and specially the phrase "sul tuo amore infranto" is exquisite and extremely intense here, I had never heard this part, whether with Pavarotti or other tenors, be sung with that impressive "smorzando" to a semi-piano, like a Napolitan song, just amazing and surprising! (I think even to the conductor!) But then again, it's Pavarotti! Thanks, to whichever positive and kind force in this world, that led Luciano exist in this controversial world, for us to enjoy!
The perfect rendition for me, is sung by Pavarotti. But not this video, although he's really close, it's this one: th-cam.com/video/CUhjvEmcJAE/w-d-xo.html
I remember as a kid watching Luciano Pavarotti and thinking he was one of the great ones, now 30 years later at 37 I truly think he was one of the greatest tenors of the 20th century.
I have just started learning the Italian language and now I appreciate the opera even more. I love listening to Luciano pavarotti. May he rest in peace.
The only reactions that come from listening to the incomparable voice of Luciano Pavarotti are thrills, shivers, goosebumps, tears, joy, pure exultation. Unique and unrepeatable in the history of music, the one with a capital M.

No, you're crying.
That performance was something else.
Anyone who dislikes this is an uncultured barbarian for me
You stupid? Or you dumb?
sorry I missed you Pagliacci - Catrina 💗

Always. ❤️
Absolutely!!
Del Monaco was better but he didn't live in an era of publicity like Luciano did.
Enrico Caruso is the real goat. Even from Pavarotti's words
NBA Youngboy is an absolute legend and has a beautiful voice
God, you can feel the emotions in the voice, it's been a while since I've listen to a work of art that brought me to tears
That’s probably because he’s grasping for breath
You should check out Dimash Kudaibergen (I might have butchered his name, sorry) he has a very cool voice and I think you'd like him!
You don’t need to understand what he’s saying. Just the way the emotion and delivery, along with the orchestra work together makes my throat swell
For me it does it every time and the tears make me feel so alive
ancora oggi quando canta Luciano qualsiasi altro cantante, di qualsiasi genere, di qualsiasi epoca, sparisce
Ecco ❤❤❤
