Cold Table? Try this Craps Betting Strategy. "The Flight Delay"

- If you have been playing craps awhile now, you probably have experienced a cold table to where there are multiple Point, 7, Outs (PSO), 2 rolls, (2 Shaker Bakers), and you yourself are not on your game and are throwing 3 and outs. So what do you do? You can always leave the table but it's easier said than done. If you cannot resist the temptation, then try this craps betting strategy that I like to call "The Flight Delay". It will truly help you survive any cold table. Also in this video, I'll share with you tips on things to do on a cold table or if the table starts getting cold.

This is a really good practical tip of delaying the exposure and avoiding the dreaded PSO.....Thank you! I am adding this style to my sessions at the table. One thing I always do is help a person to my left or right to play smoother so they do not get in the way of the dice or explain the basics so they do not disrupt the flow of the game. We have a vested interest to do so, but I don't see many other players doing the same thing.

Hey Brian. Just found this bit definitely a timeless strategy. Sound concept to wait with the come bets covering when you are going out. The only down is waiting to get paid a bit longer. All in all though, great vid my friend.

Point shooters, will be another negative. Your one example roll, the shooter made 3 points while the shooter made 3 other numbers in between that never collected.

It might help if you lay the four or lay the 10 for $200 to cover your $90 in case the seven comes up that’s if you’re not on one of those two numbers that’s an idea too, but I know you’ll be risking a lot doing that

The only way to win craps is for your group of ten to go in and dominate the table. Then haveing secured all the seating from ourside players. We begin with five dollor pass bets no odds. So i choose two dice and these two seem to favor 5&9 but turn up seven in 11 rolls. There no good. Next player follows suit. Until someone picks a pair that does not favor any side of a 7 combination.
Once this pair is found. We keep them in play all around the board. When seven shows next shooters calls same dice each tim the seven shows
By the time we have all rolled these two dice till seven craps us out. We now have learned what two numbers these two dice favor most, now were ready to capitalize on the prearanged balance of the dice in play. Only those of us skilled in setting for these numbers set dice, the rest randomly throw.
We all grow together when we play together as a team.
We use the same stratigy to secure all beating places at blackjack and we all play the same way together.
The buddy system is the only way to play organized gambling for a living.

And the only way to capitalize on there consistency.
The dice are always scooped away after a good run sevens out. It happens so fast that the following player hasn't time to catch them calling same dice.
Our technique keeps them in play for each player.
I prefer to be the only on the table, and I've had the dice away from me many times because I paired them up exchanging one die per game until I paired up to die that literally avoid seven yet favor two primary numbers over and over with no dice setting.
Infact my favorite wat to play is to find two die that favor seven then roll with 7 hopping and increase the bet by $1 each roll.

I like the strategy. The only Issue I have and maybe it's different in Hawaii, here in Michigan, when the puck is off the come bet but not the odds stay on.
You can't ask the dealer to turn just your odds off?
where I play there are 10 x odds should or would you play more odds or stick to 2x thanks
It all depends on your budget. For this strategy your advantage in pay outs is the free odds. I would put odds in the amount you are comfortable with and the highest you can afford.

I have gotten KILLED using the Iron Cross for ONLY 3 rolls after a random shooter established a point and then PSO'd MANY TIMES!!!!!

@Mel Lum Ho Each roll is independent of each other so past rolls mean absolutely nothing. Just because it is "cold" for a few rolls means nothing when it comes to betting on the next roll

I like tips. I’ve been using a hedge system I think is mathematically sound the past 5 trips to Vegas. Always brought my $ home, however highest trip win was 1 K. I really like your Hawaii 5-0, but I need to see if I can handle the 4 to 6 roll pressure especially when you gambling with all random shooters.

On a come bet that is moved to a point with placed odds, when you win that point, can you remove all the bets and winnings? I tried this method the other day and they gave me the winnings and the odds but not the come bet itself. I thought it was strange?
If you have a come bet and it goes to the come bet that is established then the come bet is just replaced. You cannot take the entire bet down.

Yes you can do whatever you like after that. Free reign you just want to avoid the short rolls.

We call it "one pump chump". I call myself it too when I mess up. I am always entertained by dice setters who then pick up the dice and shake them in their hand and chuck it. Maybe it's just me. Hope one day we play on the same table...hard to find good shooters these days.

Count to break even on betting cross is 4 rolls. If you start from count 6, the break even is on the 10th rolls. Average rolls based on statistic is 8 rolls. Not sure this is a good stradigy
Depends on who you get your stats from. Probability of a 7 is 6 out of 36 rolls
I have a strategy for a cold table say you have $15 on the pass line put $1 on the (2 one) and $1 on the (2 six). So the only bad number that can be rolled on the come out roll is 3. Eventually one of these high risk $1 bets your doing will give you some or all of that money back. Your thoughts? I'm new to craps. Eventually a shooter going to roll something good.

Mahalo $Shot for another informative video. It's best to scout the table for the better shooters before betting but if that's not an option then it would be smart to have a strategy for a cold table. If the table is really cold I'll make place bets and hedge them with a don't pass. If the shooter hits four of my place bets I'll take down the don't pass and be in position if he/she gets on a long roll.

I tried a hedge like that. The only problem is if shooter goes PPSO (point, winner, point, seven out). I lost place bets and don't! Happens more often than you think, and once on this vid, I think.

Scenario: shooter makes point. Dealer snaps up your don't. Shooter comes out again. Then shooter sevens out. Dealer snaps up your place bets. Unless you replaced your don't, you lost the whole hand.
I guess it comes down to preference. But with "Flight Delay" you're holding your exposure down until shooter can prove him / herself.
@@kfisherprotege Exactly. Knowing the potential of a shooter is important and the flight delay helps. I will not bet big on someone I never did see throw. I play the minimum which is budgeted for in my bankroll.
Let me try again. place a come bet $10, point comes 8, place $40 odds bet, 8 comes on next roll, collect odds plus the $50 bet? Or odds plus $40 with the come bet remaining on the 8 until 7 out? That is what happened to me and I thought I could take the whole bet and odds down including the original $10 come beat?

What’s the best way to figure out if the table is bouncy
Feel the felt. Push your hands down on it as if you are wiping your hands. When you select the dice drop them about a foot high from the table and see the bounce.
You can tak a couple of throws playing both the pass and the don’t pass so you don’t lose money and when you figure out the bounce then start your actual betting.
If you take a chip and drop it on the table the sound should tell you what is what. Sound and the chip bounce is what I use to find the information on the table.

i rely on my shooting, everyone else have to prove it. sometimes i'll play the hit and run, bets off after 3-4 rolls, and for bad shooters i count every roll because they usually can't throw more than 3-4 times

You would have got paid for the 9 on #4, $10 and would come down. Then you would have won your next come bet wen the 7 came out. So $20 more in your rack.👍

The problem of delaying any betting or basing ANY money management based on a PRIOR number of rolls is that it assumes dice have a memory. They don't. It is the same principle that says the odds are strongly AGAINST flipping a coin and having it come up heads 10 times in a row. That's true. But if you DO come up heads NINE times in a row, the astronomical odds of getting heads on the tenth flip have been reduce to a mere 50%. Because that is the odds of getting heads or tails each time you flip. EACH roll of the dice is an independent event and the odds of rolling a seven is 16.7%. Period.
Your absolutely right. However. If your goal is to catch that monster roll. You betting on just the people who can throw 5 or more rolls increases your chances of catching that roll wouldn’t you agree?
@@HawaiiCrapsShooters I WOULD agree. The problem is identifying those people in advance. It has been suggested that someone who is good at "setting the dice" is a shooter worth backing. Perhaps. But you WEREN'T setting dice and you had a 13 roll count without a seven in which you got your first two hits. There was NOTHING about the way you rolled those dice that would indicate your ability to avoid a seven out with that technique.

@@HawaiiCrapsShooters NO! Roll count does NOT necessarily help. I know that from my own experience playing craps. I have had extended rolls where I have won considerably money on lengthy roll counts. Most of the time, I don't. There is simply no way to predict whether I am going to HAVE an extended roll count or if the one I am obviously in the midst of is about to end on the next roll. The proven SKILL of an experienced dice setter MIGHT affect the odds just enough, but "roll count" always comes after the rolls have been made!!! Duhhhh. Therefore, it's always too late to help you ON THE NEXT ROLL!! C'mon!!! I know you already KNOW this.
@@larryk1865 I totally understand what you are saying. I agree there is no way you can predict if you will have a long roll, so having said that, do you bet the same way on every roll. NO! I have played hours and hours on the table. You are forgetting the whole purpose of this strategy is to minimize one's exposure and this is just one way a beginner can do it. The message is going out to beginner craps players who don't have much experience on the table and this is a quick strategy that may help. Remember not all strategies will work but it's always good to know some.
Cold craps table? Walk away. Go have a beer, smoke a joint, grab a typical Vegas oversize mug-drink from one of the many vendors and take in some people watching. If there isnt some guy with his GF at a craps table with others having a good time, the table wont work!

When I heard you say that it would only be 5 other players before you get the dice back, it seems like you haven't been in a casino in awhile. True, you don't have to wait long to get them back but, they have caught on to controlled shooters and now, you have to bet on the other players, to be eligible to get the dice. Let's say, I don't bet on the person in front of me, the dice skip me to the next shooter who bet on the other players. If I don't bet on other players, they won't give me the dice.

As for "100% random just like other shooters", in many cases this is true because they do not practice controlled shooting enough, then go into the casinos. That is why many casinos don't believe it's possible. Some, however, know it works and have responded. Someone posted a photo of a sign that was on a craps table in Colorado, that said, "No Dice Setters".
I think a lot more know it's possible because I watched a setter harassed at a casino in Tunica because he was only betting on the 4/10 and 2/12 and hit them every time. After a few times of yelling, just as he released the dice, He made his point, collected his money and left. Not everyone is that proficient. I have days that I can do that but they are few and far between.
As for someone saying, "It isn't possible." I think it's because they watched a video and thought, "Hey I'm gonna try that." worked for a day or so on it and quit. I've been working on it every day for a couple of years and, although most days I can't call my shots, I can usually stay away from the seven, which is what controlled shooting is about.
There are NO betting strategies for random rollers shooting that will overcome the house edge. Skilled shooters NEVER play on crowded tables, so bleeding money on random rollers while waiting for the dice to come back around is NEVER a issue. I normally play early mornings while everyone is in bed. ( Monday thru Wednesdays). No such thing as a cold table for a skilled shooter......Although the skilled shooter might be " Cold", & have g a bad day/session, but not the table......UNLESS you are playing on a table with unbalanced dice.
Unbalanced dice DO exist, But discussing unbalanced dice only opens up Pandora's box. Just MY opinion.

Cashiers Cage. You are so right in many ways. If you can control your own craps environment then that’s half the battle and these strategies I’m sharing, no one would ever have to use them. The best environment is when you go in the early mornings like you mentioned and you and maybe one more person on the table. Now you get to bet on yourself and no randoms for rounds and rounds. I wish that was always the case but mostly not in Vegas.

If the table is cold, it doesn't make sense to jump into there roll late. If there rate of rolling a seven is 5 or less because the table is cold, then why would I place money after 3 rolls and they are now close to rolling a seven. ...I love your channel, but hate this strategy.
I see your point but this way your eliminating the short rolls and only betting on the long rolls if and when the long roll comes. It’s just a strategy to save you from taking a beating on the short rollers.

Sorry but I couldn't disagree more. I only play don'ts and I look for a hot table. I get my slot next to stick, buy in and wait one a shooter. It almost always goes my way and the fools with their stacks against the 7 (what I call F-SAS - Fools with Stacks Against the Seven) then grumble "Oh, the table went cold." The truth is EVERY table is a cold table and playing against the 7 is truly foolish.
I have changed my views since this video. I am neutral for both sides now
