Death Troopers book was amazing. I've read it once with it came out and I still remember the story. I wish Disney would make a show or something on the the book
Stormtrooper = USMC (operates with the Navy, assault troops, some specialisation). Death Trooper = US Navy SEALS (operates as specialist units with advanced selection and training, access to better weapon and surgical enhancement like tactical beards and tactical tattoos).
Good video, I was wondering if you could make a video about to explain the moffs, I always found a bit unclear their structure, exact authority and official role in the empire. if you could explain that, I would be very glad.
It'd be cool to see a Squad or larger group of death troopers after the fall of the Empire. Maybe a TV show. Maybe like bad batch but ideally live action. We never get any real unapologetically imperial content stuff.
Andor blew one away with his blaster pistol in the last episode of the previous season so either their armor is susceptible to military grade blasters or he hit the trooper between plates.
I have covered him in a couple of videos l have produced. It's a decent request though 👍 l think covered him in my Grand Moffs video as GM Hissa reported to him of course.
Their armour design or at least the colour scheme reminds me of crosshair's Imperial armour I wonder if there is a connection, crosshair's experimental unit was among the first Imperial Special forces so who knows
the one thing i didn't like about andor was how litterally stupid the death troopers were, they were totally useless, meanwhile the ordinary stormtroopers were actually pretty deadly. andor took one out with barely breaking a sweat.
Yeah I agree they were ineffective which surprised me but as you say, at least the Stormtroopers weren't totally made to look like they couldn't aim properly.
Hey can we see if we can get a video on Moff Disra he was in the Council of Moffs video but I want to see him alone for a video. by far Disra is one of my favorite characters and interesting as a Moff.
I effing love these guys!! Thing is, they were only portrayed well in R1. If you don’t want you’re fun ruined don’t read this. Rebels is Rebels but I have many MANY more problems about Mando. I understand that Din has more training, armor, skill and all but: 1. They should be able to take pistol shots 2. They lit up their own guys and endangered their target just to give Gideon an entrance? Seriously tho the only people they kill are other stormtroopers. 3. They could have easily shot one of the other un-armored protagonists(hell anyone could they were out in the open and surrounded). 4. They were just overall clumsy by just blindly running straight into a kill-room. I didn’t like the Empire’s portrayal in Mando at all especially season two. There was no real danger to anyone. Sure the “I have spoken” guy was killed but it was ENTIRELY off screen. The only times they kill someone were either other stormtroopers or those pirates. At the very least in the OT they kept the good guys suppressed. Now the good guys fight in wide open areas and do super hero moves ‘n stuff, almost like they got influenced by Marvel. Unnecessary tangent below. I’m pretty sure we won’t get a proper portrayal of the most iconic bad guys in cinema history anytime soon from Disney shows. Can’t make the children have any sympathy for the faceless authoritarian goons with zero redeeming qualities now can we? No we need them to die in droves and make no progress. We can still market them though! “Oh look at this guy he’s got a flamethrower! Oh look here, this one uses artillery!” Give me a break. Sure they look cool and all but how can someone get invested into any media when the bad guys pose no threat and accomplish absolutely nothing? All we get is tell and don’t show when it comes to how “menacing” they are. This is supposed to be Star Wars not “Star one side gets entirely steamrolled every time but with zero casualties to the other but that’s ok Wars”. Honestly I just can’t look forward to future shows. Kenobi is pretty good so far tho. Otherwise, Disney and KK can go cram it.
It’s an alright show. It’s slow and that’s the point I guess. I just prefer something with a little more action. We see a lot of the Stars not a lot of the Wars.

Oh very capable. I’m just being picky now. It’s cool to see how people are nervous of imperials but I’d like to see loyal stormtroopers be humanized and not always be shown to be complete jerks. My standards are so screwed.
@@ramblinnernd5905 Well Sergeant Mosk and Lietuenant Karn are true believers of the lawful order of the galaxy and genuinely see the laxity of the security forces as incomprehensible. Karn especially is a very introverted, forward-thinking and ambitious who thinks "laws are there for a reason". But at home, he is just another guy annoyed by his mother's normative career thinking. And Karn's entire squadron was slaughtered by what are essentially terrorists from the point of view of the lawful order - he is the victim here. And while he isn't a straight up stormtrooper - this is most substantive on-screen exploration of a pro-imperial and I think it is even more effective when it is just a normal civilian trying his best. And the Stromtroopers who we do see are not jerks for no reason. They are interrogating people who they suspect of contacting a man responsible for the carnage on an entire Imperial Garrison. They are in their eyes extremely justified doing what they do against "pockets of formenting".
they seem more like budget royal guards slightly better than regular stormtrooper and more of boasting Bodyguards for imperials. seriously krennic a vice admiral in rank and director in position is so obsessed with flare he wears a freaking cape and having extra extra special shuttle.

They have a noticeably different physique, and sounded weird when they spoke. I assumed they weren’t human, like Stormtroopers seem to all be. Like an alien species that were good specialist troopers.

If you've got to scramble that so you speak in your helmet (which is muted so it can't be heard outside the helmet) and then it's broadcast scrambled over a speaker, it's an unnecessary extra step, and could have just been broadcast over comms instead, instead of giving away your approach by having this "Bzrrt, warble warble, bzrrt" broadcast audibly. It's not like they needed anyone outside the comms system to hear what they were saying. And if they did, they wouldn't scramble it, they'd just speak like a regular stormtrooper. I mean, it complies with the rule of cool, and sounded amazing in Rogue One. But it really doesn't make sense from a tactical and strategic point.
Common crooks, thugs, rapists, lowlifes, vagabonds, marauders, cartels, terrorists and rebels, gangsters, Bandits and other criminal elements would tremble in the presence of these elites. No thief nor murderer could get away with crime with these protectors on watch. With the exception of plot armor characters the death troopers never miss
Given how Doctor Hemlock stated that the clones were in for a bit of genetic experimentation, and give that the Death Troopers are better than most Stormtroopers, I'd say that Death Troopers are probably former clone troopers that got experimented on to extend their life expectancy and combat efficiency, like the Phase Zero Dark Troopers of old.
I honestly think they're the most dangerous trooper type on average by far, with the Republic Commandos being maybe close seconds on average but with more variability than Death Troopers.
According to the Rogue One Visual Guide, Stormtroopers had more uniformity in their ranks than even the Clones just because of how good the ideological programming in their training was
I prefer the purge stormtroopers armour design helmets design very impressive similar design to the clone paratrooper choarcoal black ⚫️. The Death Troopers Design is too heavy, expensive, overzealous, and bigger, which is not always better.
I want to get death trooper armor but if it’s not 501st standard then I will get ripped on by them at the comic cons 😂 I fit the height because I’m over 6 foot tall. These are my favorite stormtrooper
Clones are so overrated. Everyone acts like they’re some kind of super soldiers when they are just completely normal copies of a normal dude (yes I know Jango is badass but he is a normal man). Any clone trooper (who isn’t a main character or perhaps a clone commando) would get absolutely steamrolled by a death trooper

Again great detail, especially around the helmet vision equipment, and the trooper rank which is invisible to those who are not Death Troopers.
Too bad the best of the best in the comics and shows don't show that they're the best of the best. But they're my favorites.

So what would be the canon explanation for why we saw no death troopers with Vader or Tarkin or the Emperor during episodes 4-6?

I like death troopers but they don’t leave a chance against an imperial sovereign protector or royal guards.
