Mam I am having doubt if they gave question on extract of trial balance in that debit side they have given inter department transfer and credit side also they have given how to do the sum
Firstly check which department transfer good to which department.
So one who receives - trading debit
One who transfers - trading credit

general expense comes under combine pl ? why not departmental pl
If general expenses are allocable to departments - or if any basis there to allocate then it will be debited to Departmental P&L. Otherwise if it is general for entire business and allocation is not possible - then debit to General P&L A/c

While calculating stock reserve- we need to see the profit charged by transferring department and the stock of the receiving department. Over here Dept. X transfers to Dept. Y but Dept. Y does not have any opening stock - so we have not calculated opening stock reserve.
