3/4 canopy for sure. Keep the spare wheels where they will still sit on the deck. A metallic blue , but not like the deep blue toyota did. Will stand out from the rest
Yea something that ties the whole build back to your company since you have that bit of blue in your logo. Dont want it to blend in. Make it unique, make yours
Around 1200-1400mm on the canopy would be an ideal size for a young couple or solo traveler, definitely keeps the weight forward and still allows good deck space for wood and other accessories. You could even canvas enclose the second half of the tray
Great video guys, looking forward to seeing this project through to completion. My ideas for the future of your build would be to do a wrap or paint it Matt black with silver/chrome accessories combined with a 3/4 canopy with two spare wheels at the rear. New seats and new interior accessories to make it more comfortable and then offer it as a prize to fund your next project. Everyone’s a winner chicken dinner.
This is awesome ive been waiting for a good single cab build for a long time. Im sick of seeing the majority of 79series builds being the dual cab model. I own a singe cab and cant relate to space for a touring set ups or work when all the dual cabs have smaller canopys and trays. I would definitely be keen to see this thing with a small 800mm dog box/ canopy and another 1200mm canopy behind it to create an over all 3/4 of taken up space on the tray.
Hopefully you guys keep it white haha, only because I’m currently setting my hdj79 up to travel Australia and can’t decide if I should go full length canopy or around the 1800 length, either way really looking forward to what you guys come up with. Cheers guys 👍🏽
This huge Ute could, do with some paint somewhere between $72 Pounds, and some Series Accessories for like $150 Pounds can do it but this huge Ripper can give it a bit of a, Service. From Thomas and then if, Needed you can drive it again.
second hand for less then new? yea if you lucky to find one going for less then new. Davison Ford Mildura is selling one for $90k. i have bean look for a 79 for years and have not found many going for less then $60k most below $60k are beaten to hell and back the few good ones get sold in minutes of listing. i was lucky to find a 75 for a reasonably price and wasn't all they way up in QLD.
We are going to be taking this build to 4x4 shows and on TH-cam trips next year and we have plans to signwrite the vehicle as well, so we need a clean base to start from. A respray is obviously optional, and we will have total build figures at the end that include both the respray and without it for complete transparency
3/4 canopy for sure. Keep the spare wheels where they will still sit on the deck. A metallic blue , but not like the deep blue toyota did. Will stand out from the rest
Ohhh thats an interesting choice there mate. Very unique

this guy should be leading the series
Sandy taupe and black with 1600 canopy colour coded to suit 🤙🏼
Oooft! that is a solid suggestion right here!
I reckon

Good options there man!
Keen AF to see this build
Cheers mate, new episode dropping on Sunday!

Full colour coded graphite, 3/4 canopy with blue and white mits details on the side would look clean!
Will definitely have signage on it mate!
That new Audi/ford raptor grey and half canopy
Smoked Bue-Grey with a full length touring canopy. Open twin spares behind the Cab, and canopy to the end.
Silver Gray with transparent black and small red strips❤
Looking forward to this build. 1/2 canopy , custom army green
Harry looking like a pro mate haha
Nice one Harry, you are good on camera mate! I’d go three quarter canopy so you have bbq space on the back deck and can carry firewood
This is awesome ive been waiting for a good single cab build for a long time.

It's the popular choice by the sounds of it!
Camo green for sure
Love to see a nardo grey rig something different
That would look mint!!

Vintage gold, 3/4 canopy would be so sick
This colour is so underrated
MITS Alloy Newcastle it really is, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sick tray and canopy setup in that colour, mixed with black would be wicked
3:48 bloody hell I want that
Damn, you look super tall.
A canopy that can be transferred to a duel cab tray if anyone wants to sell their single cab and upgrade to duel cab but keep their set up.
Forward thinking, I like it!
3/4 canopy in Merlo Red
BIG YES from us. This is one of the front runners!
Champagne gold from Toyota and half cab canopy
Do you prefer the champagne over the Sandy?
Half canopy all the way
sandy taupe xD
A nice silver colour how much for the stacks
Already been claimed mate!
Olive green 3/4 canopy
Interesting choice, would be a unique vehicle!
Me and the 79 come from the same town
How much you looking to sell the quarter canopy that’s already on it for? I’m from Clarence Town so if you’re selling it I’d be keen to come grab it!
Message us on our FB page mate!
awesome a cruiser build video 👍 just what youtube needed, my 2 cents 3/4 canopy RTT, nothing more
The colour I would suggest world rally Subaru blue
Fire-engine Red
Full canopy but shorter than towbar
That would stand out in the crowd for sure!
Are you selling the stacks
They've already gone mate!
Raptor coat (black or gray)

3/4 and a nice grey, please not another sandy torpe.
We like the 3/4 idea :)
Paint it green
matt black
Respray come on that’s pretty pricey
