Gosh, I was at the Drovers Inn in 2003 when I walked The West Highland Way and it still looks exactly the same. We had a drink there at the end of a day of walking. We were there in May so the weather conditions were ideal. Real respect to you for sleeping in a tent in the cold.
Hi Alicia , the Drovers is some pub . It’s been the same for 300 years lol .. I camp all year round , I have the gear for it .. thanks for watching and commenting.. cheers Stevie
Who needs camp food when you have the Drovers 👍 good old hike to work up an appetite for food and drink . Handy pitchy spot , straight out the pub into the tent ⛺️👍 atb Dave
Hello Steve. Good video and a good camp spot near the pub lol. Your Nallo 2 is looking good, Great tents. Drovers Inn hasn't changed. Really enjoyed watching. Atb Steve 👍
Happy New Year Stevie and pals 🍻 Its no good no where to camp we shall gave to go to the Drovers 🤣🤣🤣. Its like an episode of Chewin the Fat 👍 Brilliant All the best.
Happy new year Dave , I’ve not been out much lately but I enjoyed this trip . I’ll need to catch up with your vids , I’m offshore this week and I’ll watch through the vids I’ve missed . Good to hear from you Dave
Brilliant mate 😍… What a superb trip Stevie… Great company and great fun😀..Don’t know about the guy that was shouting in the pub though 😂😂 Nice one mate 😀👍 Cheers Robert
Hey, stevie good to see you out mate. That was a decent route to the pub bro. Ha ha! I'd say the most scenic of all. I've been in the Drovers Inn once. I really enjoyed it - so atmospheric. Well, take care out there. Mark
Hi Mark , yeah its a cracking pub mate ..lol yeah we took the scenic route . It was good hike though , one i had fancied doing for a while..Thanks for watching , hope all is good with you mate ..cheers Stevie
@@ootnboots It is a cracking pub stevie. And yeah a great hike to it. Glad that ones off the list. A pleasure mate. Me? I see a specialist about my ankle and lower leg - had a scan and he says arthritis. it's kept me from getting out for 18 months plus. I'm hopeful.
Roughing it on a Wildcamp mate you can't beat it lol. Sometimes you just can't find a pitch spot. Nothing wrong with taking advantage of facilities, art least you got some tent time done. Hopefully next time we get oot!
Aye that’s it Eddie , it’s a walk I’ve wanted to do for a while. The only possible spot was probably at the Bothy but that was at the start of the walk but the camp at river was spot on. Hopefully out in February Eddie 👍
Great stuff Stevie! That looked like a cracking low level day hike. The venison stew at The Drovers with a pint or two of Tennents is a must every time I go!😃 All the best and look forward to the next vid👌
I would be wary of the hillberg hard ground pegs. Had the heads of few of them come off. Had 5 hillebrg tents from the Akto to the Tarra , including the nallo. Prefered the nammatj though. Prefered the ventillation of the nammatj with 2 vents that could be configured from inside, rather then the one rear bottom vent of the nallo that you had to go outside for and repeg , the nammatj also didnt flap about as much or the ceiling drop if pitched rear end into he wind. The guylines on the nammatj also made the tent alot stronger, the guylines on the nallo front vent weaking the tent if anything if taut. Currently using the 3 season version, the anjan 2 for cycle touring rather than the nallo I used for hillwalking mainly due to superior ventilation with the added benefit of lighter weight.
Hi Demigod , its actually 9" easton pegs i use for all my tents . I have 5 hillebergs myself Akto, Soulo, Allak 2, Nallo 2 and the Anaris. My favorite is the Allak 2 ..Thanks for watching and commenting ..cheers Stevie
*_Hilleberg outdoor products are indeed highly recommended for quality, I in Indonesia cannot afford to buy them, and you are very cool about using these quality products, Please accept my introduction from Rudy Agustman_*

That’s a fair walk 20km. Good move adapting to conditions 😅 I like the idea of a winter camp in theory but I’m too much of a softy. Love the Drovers though: it’s a super oasis at the end of a hike. Cheers to you three musketeers!
Thanks Terry , Aye it was a fair walk but we couldn't find a spot for camping the whole length of hike..But found the perfect pitch ..behind the pub lol ..
