My mom loved dollar tree… she used to always buy stocking stuffers there. Sadly, she passed away in 2021, but this year I followed her footsteps and bought our stocking stuffers there. I think she’d be proud!
I remember walking around town collecting cans to recycle so we could go to the dollar store and buy a huge can of ravioli , a pack of cookies, and a bottle of pop so we could eat when i was growing up. It was not the best but now that i am older i miss it and the memories i made with my parents doing it.
I love how excited she gets when she finds something she knows her kids are going to appreciate her for 🥺 it’s really the little things like this about mothers. so sweet😭
I'm 25 and grew up eating things like Spam, potted meat, and pimento cheese sandwiches. Being Apache, stuff like that used to come in commodity boxes. Now I'm sharing it all with my Miami-born husband! :)
It’s all processed doesn’t look very healthy. I’m single I don’t have the need for sugary snacks . Living on a budget & trying to be healthy on a single income..
@@almabustamante9585 Good for you! But I was an indigenous child living in poverty with a terminally ill mother unable to work. Unhealthy or not, it kept me from starving. Gift bags, greeting cards, tissue paper, party goods are always a good buy. Gift wrap, not usually. Holiday decorations are often a good biy for dmall things. They sell out early! Some kitchen utensils are great (meat masher), Snyder pretzels, 2 liter pop, Old Orchard juice, some cereal (close out seasonal big boxes of name brand), seasonal dishes. As you noted, the small containers and boxes aren't a good deal. You definitely have to compare prices and sizes as some DT items are smaller than the regular grocery stores. Movie theatre candy is another goodvthing. Shelf stable milk is a good deal and Frugal Fit Mom says small corn tortillas are a good buy at DT. Last summer they had the KIND frozen icream type dessert in the freezer srction. They were $5+ at the gricery store. Glad you discovered the joy of DT!
Probably food items will be in ALL Dollar stores before long!! They're VERY popular here where I live in Spokane Washington!!. we've had this for a few years now!! Next time you go to one, ask the clerk about this!!!
Thanks a lot, Mama Bell! I now have to get to our Dollar Tree! My husband will think I have lost my mind. 7 of our 8 kids are on their own but I am buying some snack foods for them and the grandbabies for Christmas!
You are so connected with your children. You know what they will be happy with. Reminds of the times when dad would get a pay raise. My brother and I would be allowed to pick one special food we normally wouldn't get. My brother always went with a banana flip, and I would go with a yellow delicious apple. Get your kids bugles! I love the peace tea. I'll have to go to the DT and get some.
When I was 9 or 10 we would go to my granddads on Saturdays. He would always have an RC Cola and a Moon Pie for me and my twin sister (RIP Donna. I miss you) when we got there. We loved Saturdays because my dad and mom couldn't afford all the sweet things like that so granddaddy always spoiled us. When we had rice at home everyone would put gravy on it except for me and my dad. We had butter on ours. That was it. If we had any leftovers my mom would let me have it for breakfast the next morning. What great times those were.
I love how you want your kids to try stuff from when you were a kid. You and I are in the same decade so you just took me down memory lane!! I have done something similar with my son. For the most part he was very receptive
That is such great value especially when you're buying for 10 people. The Pringle's price of $2 at the bigger store as aposed to $1 dollar at this store made my eyes pop. We pay $5.50 for ONE pack. Australia is insane with price gouging atm, everything is going up, everything. People are resorting to eating meat once a week and starting to grow their own produce, so I definitely understand and empathise. ❤
It's the same here in New Zealand. Even the basics are becoming too expensive for me. Fruit and vegetables are extremely expensive so the government stepped in to cap the price on some basic items. I'm terminally ill so I rely on a disability allowance which I'm very grateful for getting financial help. By the time I have paid all my bills I only have $85 a week for food. Both of my parents passed away in the last few years so I have their dogs to look after. I do like a challenge so I try to make it into a game. I was a teacher and foster Mum until my lifelong specialists gave me two years to live. I taught 5 year olds and I taught as much as possible by playing games so that may be why I turn hard situations into challenges and games. Opps I went a bit off track, I tend to over explain things sorry..
The on the go cereal.. i use the lil Rubbermaid containers and fill them from the big box or bag of cereal. They stay fresh longer than the cereal in the box does and theyre ready to grab and go!
I love Dollar tree and Dollar General. I love this video. I remember as a kid too. My Mom was a single mom and she had 5 kids our father was an abusive alcholic and my mom left him. My grandma moved in and she helped take care of us while my mom worked. I love your videos and your family. You are a example of God's love
The milk is good to have on hand if you mistakenly let yourself run out of regular milk (ie...the kids put empty cartons/jugs back in the refrigerator😂).
My daughter used to work at Dollar Tree and she used to love to bring home foods to try. They have so many delicious items there. I love the channel Dollar Tree Dinners here on TH-cam. She makes meals/ desserts with only Dollar Tree ingredients. I've tried several recipes and they are so good.
I made rice, smoked sausage, cranberry, mustard, lemon juice, maple syrup, and Chipotle sauce for dinner last night. I probably got everything from Dollar Tree.
The dollar store is great place to shop but be very careful on checking on the date of each product. They are not really good on checking their expiration dates on their items.
I love that you told us the comparable prices from Walmart. Shopping for snacks for my four year old at dollar tree is one of my favorite things to do.
Yes I noticed our local Dollar Tree has really improved on their inventory! I love shopping there for my cleaners and necessities! Some stores in our area aren't fully stocked up on their inventory but the one around the corner from my apartment is over flowing with stuff and I love it! I saw those smoothies when I was there last night, I will have to get some myself for when I go to work. Thanks for the video!!!
Dear Mama Bell,I remember one of my favorite odd meals as a kid tow stand out hamburger gravey over mashed potatoes and refried beans on a bun with cheese and I still love them both today
This was very informative for me and I thank you. We all can appreciate every type of savings we can get. Now, I can’t wait for the kids to try your childhood treats.
The dumplings and pot stickers from there are the best!! They charge about 4 dollars for 6 to 10 of them. My kids love them. In the restaurant they are about 8 dollars and they taste exactly the same. My kids use a spicy garlic sauce on them with soy sauce. The bomb skidlee
Girl that's what I ate as a kid too. My favorite was the spaghetti in a green box I think it was made by kraft. It had everything you needed in the box except tomato paste. It's still my favorite! I keep most of those in my cabinet just in case I get a taste for them.
@1961fuzzy I keep a couple of the boxes in my cabinet and have some every now and then. Nothing taste the same so I have to have them. I don't make them as dinner for my family but I sure will make me some. My kids love it too though.
I grew up in Buffalo NY in the 50’s and 60’s. And we took potted meat sandwiches to school for lunch. My mom couldn’t afford for us to have the hot lunches the school provided. But I still eat potted meat.
I grew up there in the 60s & 70s. Potted meat mixed with miracle whip & that cold wind whipping off lake Erie that made you feel like you didn't even have a coat on! Memories 😂.
DT has some really great finds. The woodland theme Christmas ornaments this year at DT are so good. They also sell cinnamon sticks 6 whole sticks for 1.25🎉
I ate sliced peaches and pears right outta the can as a snack to. Had to be cold though. I've tried the dollar tree sugar waffers and they tasted too waxy. I appreciate you taking the time and price chexking with walmart and sharing that bc i often wondered that on some things like the pasta and rice. Great video!❤
I love dollar tree also, I can take awhile just looking around for new items, while picking up items that I regularly buy there. Love their craft section also for getting things to make with the grandchildren. Have a wonderful blessed day. I can’t wait to see how the kids like your old snacks from when you where younger.😊
It was interesting to see you go down memory lane. There is something about eating food you grew up with. My husband loves moon pies and the Vienna sausages. I grew up in Germany and we never had either of those. We did used to have a potted beef, l am still missing that flavour and have not been able to find anything like it. The closest is corned beef in a can, and I love it. I also noticed years ago that some of the prices are better somewhere else. Now with smartphones it's so easy to price check. Your grandma was so sweet in getting you kids a food and a snack of foods you liked for Christmas. Nice memories. Do more Aldi hauls. My favorite store.
I go to DT often ... Love most things I've gotten there ... Always wondered about the tajin watermelon rings and the knock off chips ... Would love to see a video of your family tast testing all your finds ... Also the freezer section has some yummy finds, love their Jamaican beef pattys ... Makes for an easy snack or lunch with a salad ❤️ Wishing you a Happy and Healthy Holiday season ❤️😊
Definitely love this trip with price comparisons- now I would love for you to do like a review on that items that you're trying to see if they're good like the hazelnut spread and stuff❤
Heather its great to stop by dollar tree at least once a week because they get full size name brand cereal and recently they had real pringles full size cans. I always go at least twice a week usually delivery is wed or thurs
I love Vienna sausages I still eat it as a snack I ate some last night 😊that was my grandpa’s favorite snack he’s the one that got me into it when I was little.
Geez, your store is clean and organized. Ours is too. I’ve been in ones that were a total disaster like a tornado went through. We’re a family of three on a fixed income and looking to save on the food bill.
This is awesome love how you price check items that can be purchased cheaper by 20- 40 cents. We shop there for camping items and the milk in cartons is new those come in real handy. Did not know dollar tree had those items its been awhile but will check it our for these items. Sometimes the dollar trees here in Colorado are bare the shelves are empty never stocked like this in your video. Thank you for sharing i enjoyed this grocery haul 😊. Have great new year.
I grew up in the south and I didn’t get snacky foods either. My grandparents on both sides were farmers so it was a lot of fresh foods. We went out to eat maybe twice a year. Things are so different for me now that we live in Alaska. My husband grew up here and he didn’t eat a fresh pear until he was an adult. Fresh eggs and milk were rare. Now we have better options since the population is bigger.
We never had snacks either. Soda was Holidays only or 7 up if we were sick sick. Even summer we really didn't have stuff for sandwiches except peanut butter.
Honestly such a relaxing video to listen to. You have a very soothing voice. I’ve been feeling really down lately but your video is so helpful for me to stop, listen and be kind to myself. Thank you ❤ ps I remember potted meat. Sometimes when I’m shopping, I’m tempted to buy some 😂
I havent seen half of these things at any of the dollar trees where i live at especially those smoothie pouches.... That's the best dollar tree I've ever saw not a empty shelf anywhere everything is well stocked...
I really love how related this video is. Im a mama of 3 boys and definitely go through my DT for snacks to get by. Btw your vibe and voice reminds me of Kim Richards ❤
My DT in town doesnt have the fridges but the 3rd Dollar General just opened and its a MARKET. like whaaaat? A DG Market Grocery Store. 😂 Its heaven 😮 Galdwin MI here
Hi, I came across your channel and decided to check it out. $ 🌴 is one of my favorite stores. 👍on your walk through and grocery haul! Just a gentle reminder to check expiration and best buy dates. Thanks for sharing 🕊️
New to your channel. Great haul . I love Dollar Tree - my Coffee, English Muffins, Dish Detetgent, Dustmop, Floor cloths, for the mop - all are just some of my favorite items DT sells. Looking forward to seeing more videos especially the one where the kids try foods from your youth.
Mama Bell, I love that you love going to the dollar tree and appreciate a lot of the goodies they got, I have 3 dollar trees close to my apartment and love going there and find full size products at $1.25, sometimes you get to try new stuff before companies launch them at big groceries stores.
The banana chips are freeze dried so they don’t weigh anything. They are a good snack to have all the goodness and they’re very convenient and portable. So don’t write them out as they’re hardly, read the back and you’ll find it several bananas. Bananas chips aren’t my favorite but they have some other ones like cinnamon apples, I really like!
They recalled the apple cinnamon flavor but so many people are saying that they find mold in the pouches. Not sure what brand but that alone makes me not buy any of them!
A family of 10 wow. That is a lot of people in the morning getting ready for the day. That bathroom has to be a mess after use every morning. I would go crazy lol.
Enjoyed this haul. Love your sweater and cheerful upbeat disposition. Looking forward to the video of "things I ate as a kid". What will the kids think of that!?!
Our Christmas treats were hard candies, mixed nuts, and an orange that was the size of a dodge ball. I don't know if they even grow oranges that big anymore.
I ate potted meat as a child too! Mayo, potted meat, fresh bread was the best. Now, I can't hardly eat it. Vienna sausages were called vi-ee-ner sausages. I have no idea why, but that's what we called them. Sunday nights after church, we ate Vienna sausage, crackers, and cheddar cheese. I guess we were eating a homemade lunch able way before lunch able were even a thing! I get snack stuff at Dollar Tree all of the time. My daddy's favorite was the Fiddle Faddle. I should get each of my kids a box for Christmas this year.
I remember my youngest at 6 was being babysat by a friend who fostered teenagers. She was so excited, she bought loads of kid food, even though I said she didn't need to. And when she asked if he wanted nuggets, he said what are they? 😂 Then when she asked what snack he wanted instead of going to her snack cupboard he went to the fridge and asked for bell pepper. She informed me that although he looked like a usual boy he wasn't. I was super proud of his food choices.
The english muffins blueberry, cinnamon n pumpkin are delicious another thing that i found is four pack large Barbasol brand shower puffs in red , two blue and white.
A different channel, this lady would buy a basket for each kid and fill it with there favorite snacks and put it under the tree. I thought that was a great idea
Dollar tree is awesome. Those Donald Duck juices are 40% juice and have MINIMAL sugar. They're amazing. Also, every single dollar tree is different. And has different stuff. Another also, most of the stuff at the dollar tree is healthier than the stuff at big box stores. They usually sell stuff that is made naturally without the advertising budget and markup.
I love the dollar tree, dollar general and family dollar store. I have always bought most grocerues there. Paper products, cleaning products, detergents, dog treats. Etc.
I’m sorta picky about where my food comes from. I usually only buy foods made in U S. At the Dol. Tree u have to be careful about what country made it. That’s just me.
I buy the salmon and tuna packets and frozen garlic bread (perfect amount), already made thin pizza crust at dollar tree ..cheaper than walmart here in SW Missouri
My mom loved dollar tree… she used to always buy stocking stuffers there. Sadly, she passed away in 2021, but this year I followed her footsteps and bought our stocking stuffers there. I think she’d be proud!
My mom passed in 2021and yes they are proud of us,❤
Sorry that your mom left this world and she's now resting.
So sorry for your loss my condolences 💐❤ and yes keep her memories alive ❤
My mom also passed away in 2021
I'm so sry for ur loss I know she's proud of you :)
I work at Dollar Tree & we are getting a lot of better stuff finally ❤
Which dollar tree do you work at?
That's what I'm seeing, They raised the price to $1.25 for better quality items. 😊
I saw they might go to $1.50. Is that true?
I guess that's why the .25 cents increase 😮🤷♀️. It's ok, hope they pay better with it, also! 😊

I can have my kiddos try them on a video
Chip aren’t good
I tried the chips and couldn’t eat them either. Loved the Lays Stackers they used to carry.
You could also use newspaper to clean windows. We used to use it to display what we cooked. I was a chef for Whole Foods and a couple other places.
Thanks for sharing the price comparisons to Walmart!
I do find great bargains at DT. But walmart and other stores have lower prices on some items. But in a rush DT is quick n inexpensive. 💛🌼🍀🌸🌻🐣🌷
There are some great deals. For me, the bacon and breakfast sausage are the best because I live alone. And they are a good portion. For a single meal.
Sometimes when I’m shopping, I’m tempted to buy some 😂
Yesss!! Dollar tree, 99cent stores, and grocery outlets are a must before going to big stores for snacks! If ya don’t know, now ya do ☺️
I havent seen half of these things at any of the dollar trees where i live at especially those smoothie pouches.... That's the best dollar tree I've ever saw not a empty shelf anywhere everything is well stocked...
I really love how related this video is. Im a mama of 3 boys and definitely go through my DT for snacks to get by. Btw your vibe and voice reminds me of Kim Richards ❤
I’m sure glad you did a full video on this haul I love the full videos of your grocery hauls
Such a good idea to compare prices on your phone as you go! I will do that next I'm in Poundland here in the UK
I love how you price compare.. it’s very helpful!❤
Just remember when food shopping at Dollar Tree, check the expiration date ...one time found a brownie mix that was ancient old
I sure do 😊
Wait til she sees the cleaning supplies and the frozen section!
Donald Duck orange juice is awesome!
Be careful those wanna banana they are recalling they should be off the shelf. Be safe ❤️🙏😇
I buy the stuff online every month once a month and go pick it up. Love all the stuff!
Our Christmas treats were hard candies, mixed nuts, and an orange that was the size of a dodge ball. I don't know if they even grow oranges that big anymore.
I would love to see more of these shopping hauls we're you price compare I like that I think that wad an awesome idea!! Keep them coming please.❤😊
Tajin fruit are amazing!! I love peaches, mango & pineapple...so far all I've ever seen. So good!!
That potted meat... when I was little, my dad mix grated onion, relish & mayo in it. Tasted just like high-end ham salad.
....Thanks for this idea❤
Thanks for this idea❤
BTW I just looooove your channel!! Feel like we are sisters in Christ. God bless
❤
Dollar tree is my calming place
Dollar tree is awesome. Those Donald Duck juices are 40% juice and have MINIMAL sugar. They're amazing. Also, every single dollar tree is different. And has different stuff. Another also, most of the stuff at the dollar tree is healthier than the stuff at big box stores. They usually sell stuff that is made naturally without the advertising budget and markup.
I was so happy the smoothie mango banana wasn't on the list! I absolutely LOVE that!!!
I went into dollar tree yesterday and spent $122. I was shocked at how much I spent!
I can spend an hour and half also in two aisles at Dollar Tree!! 😊. You got some great items!!! Way to go!! 🎉
I buy the salmon and tuna packets and frozen garlic bread (perfect amount), already made thin pizza crust at dollar tree ..cheaper than walmart here in SW Missouri
