PR Rog's execution is out of control here. I don't think people give him credit because they're maybe not as flashy, but he's doing like 5-6 one frame links here that are harder than most of the combos daigo does and on par or exceeding Sako combos.
2:11 I love this moment. balrog gets to throw those turn-around punches with impunity that its a shock when somebody challenges it and smacks him out of it. even the announcer and the crowd went "whoa".
Pr balrog and 801strider are one of my favorite players, but in my opinion coaching shouldnt be done "in-game". Im ok if its done outside of the match. Fighting games are all about mind against mind and how you handle your opponents abilities, so you shouldnt get help in my book. Also, everyone must be on equal terms; everyone has a coach or nobody has a coach. The no coach option is more legit in my eyes.
Spawn223311 lol. You say coaching like some professional shit was going on...but hey, man, it's just your buddy telling you a tip. This is a fighting game, not chess.
Coaches should have no part in this. It's 1 on 1. Man against man. Nobody else. If you cannot figure out a way to win alone, you don't deserve the win.
DeathByForklift Yes, but they’re standardized. In the FGC, coaching is a complete mess, most people have nobody, some have one, others have many all at once. FGC is not sports and never will be, so just because sports have coaching it doesn’t mean the FGC should too. If it were standardized the same way as it is in sports (everyone gets 1 coach, no more, no less for anybody) then it could be OK, but that is never going to happen, so banning coaching entirely is the fairest option.
Strider did a really good job here, but I agree with Edwardo that it was kinda bullshit that Strider had a buddy right there, saying stuff constantly. For one, it's not fair because Edwardo had no coach, watching for stuff for him or giving him any ideas. But secondly, Edwardo totally got distracted by what Strider's coach said before the final wake up and that altered what Edwardo did. I mean, if you are going to get distracted by people saying things, then wear headphones like some pros do, but I dunno, it seems really cheap to have to deal with some guy's friend shouting stuff out during the match, even if they are not intending to distract you. Save coaching for in between rounds/games, don't sit there constantly talking and pointing stuff out. Who am I playing against here, a person or a village?
James Edward Smith If an argument relies on not being distracted by people talking, you shouldn't be in a professional audience sport. If you're surrounded by people screaming and you can't keep your cool, sucks to be you. Especially when noise canceling headphones exist. As long as only one player is playing, everything else is secondary. If you feel like you'd do better with a coach, get a coach, it's literally what every sport does.
He said he heard his friend (el fuerte player iPeru) say ex tornado. He was salty that he took that advice but Strider blocked instead. Strider apparently laughed it off and iPeru was visibly annoyed that he was eavesdropping. Either way it was just typical pr rog and his excuses.
I remember something about him telling Strider that he heard iPeru say something, so PR Rog chose to counter what he heard. Strider ends up doing something different. PR Rog loses because of it.
TheBjscool your crazy You seen Justin recently, especially at E3 won the whole thing flawlessly even beat the guy who help make the game. He the New G.O.A.T & I love Snake I just think he'll lose even though Snake has beat him before. It just, Justin Bison is just Fucking Mean....
Dom D that was Street Fighter V not USF4... You can't say he's the best at a game that's not even out yet without all the characters. Plus, you think that tournament was serious? rofl
TheBjscool really not taken seriously the winner got 3000$ dollar bro proofs on the site. So if your too good for 3000$ bro than you can continue rolling on the floor all you want , but I highly doubt it , plus I've seen rich give threats for less & they have the same control scheme why you think most the pro there were playing so Damm well, cause they got it like that No my friend. Different look same game.
I understand the "need" for Coaches, it creates scenarios/exploits that wouldn't necessarily be seen but IMO I think if one player doesn't have a coach then other player doesn't get one. SIMPLES. It solves every argument.
The problem I had with Seam was that alot of the players had already qualified. So like when Diago played Tokido, Diago just didn't seem keen. I'm not saying Tokido was given the win but I'm sure it would of been different if Diago hadn't qualified yet.
Hilarious Harvie DUDE! diago just beat him in some tournament playing regular ryu. So it was super fishy for him to pick e ryu. Well we will see the real deal at EVO for sure.
If you aren't mentally strong enough to see what's in front of you and adapt accordingly, then you shouldn't be playing at that level. I can tell PR was pissed at that backseat driver wanna be. Coaching should only be allowed in team competitions, one on one tournaments should be just that.
Imagine a world where boxing coaches aren't allowed in the ring to tell the boxer how to fight his opponent. Like rog can have a coach if he wants I mean he's friends with literally all the EG boys.
TheChunlilover Every player is allowed a coach if they so choose, so really, it's Mago's/Kazunoko's fault for not taking advantage of it. Then again, Kazunoko actually had Fuudo coaching him in Grand Finals, so this entire thing is made doubly nil.
TheChunlilover Are "you" slow? Facts outweigh opinions, and sometimes idiocy. esports.inquirer.net/home/4377/esports-now-recognized-as-2nd-level-olympic-sport/
Clever Cheshire yeah i guess if chess is considered an Olympic sport than pretty much anything mentally competitive can be. Certainly not not an Athletic sport that's for damn sure lol...
So now people feeling coaching is wrong & when they coach against japanese & korean players? Same pr rog had his whole eg squad sitting with him when he was fighting infiltration at ncr 2014 grand finals then it was no prob. No one said a word when iperu was coaching strider for kazunoko & Fourwude coaching smug but still can`t win LMAO

That read by Strider was just... I'm with James Chen on that one; no words.
James Chen: "Could this kill?!"
Everyone Else: "No, James. Calm down."

***** Mine too. No disrespect to Strider he is a great player too.
ivanaki 33 i think if strider didn't have a coach i think rog would've won
Lol yeah man. His combo game is bananas.
***** hell yeah plus he still has to charge while he is doing all the cancels mad crazy
***** absolute truth
3:54-4:06 was one of the realest combos I've seen
2:11 I love this moment. balrog gets to throw those turn-around punches with impunity that its a shock when somebody challenges it and smacks him out of it. even the announcer and the crowd went "whoa".
That combo by rog was just sick
4:08 even 801Strider is impressed lmao

ivanaki 33 very much so, that is cheap as fuck imo
Spawn223311 never thought of it in this way and I agree man! good call
Spawn223311 A good point, it's much harder to fight 2 brains as opposed to 1.

But you are my coach lol

Ya dun goofed.
The offense from both players is ridiculous this match. High level combos and option selects and deadly neutral games

So what would u say if Strider lost? nothing! bet you wouldn't even comment
James Edward Smith If you tend to lose because you got distracted by the audience, don't be in a sport that involves an audience being present.
My village challenges you...
That read though!! 5:19
Im curious to know about what PR said to Gustavo's friend in the end.

@@ddespair El Fuerte is my main. No one plays him like Pepeday though.
@@ddespairHow do you know this?
my 2 favorites(^0^)/ya!

what did pr balrog say at the end to that other guy?

Dream Players with Abel and Balrog: ''801 Strider'' and ''EG PR Balrog''. My God.
what were they exchanging words over at the end? rog was allowed a coach too right?
what did Eduardo ask at the end?

Wait, if this is street fighter 4, then why put U before S?

The title says, "USFIV" at the beginning. Unless that's supposed to mean Ultra Street Fighter 4.

USE TURTLE BEACH HEADPHONES
+Rahul S Not everyone wants to wear headphones for a match. It's not how they practice, so I can understand why people wouldn't want to.

Don't respect 801's play. PR Rog & Dieminion are the only US players whom I consider to have anything resembling footsies.
Christopher Lee Strider whiffed punished PR Balrog twice in the same round with a step kick combo.
Too much salt from the rog player, 8.2/10 - IGN
