Julian Lee That was to get back for that wink Brian_F gave to the camera at Dreamhack. Serve him right, that'll teach him. Good player though, even without the commentators chewing on his d**k, but Smug has skill and personality, Brian is just a bread sandwich.
Hilarious how Smug gave a "smug" look to the camera followed by a suggestive wink three separate times. He wanted to make absolutely sure it was included in the replay footage, and they ended up showing all three. 🤣🤣🤣
@@DepressionShaman that's not why he's southpaw on the other side. Almost every character in 2D fighting games are like that. For example Vega claws switch hands depending on what side you play him. I for got why tho. I think something to do with animating the moves
@@marcopolo2028 you're kinda right about it. It makes the animations easier to detect and more consistent to detect as well. Beyond that, it allows a more consistent silhouette of the character, so that you can still recognize your character, even from a distance. It's all about keeping the character, their moves, and their animations consistent and detectable!
@@sftigershot9586 i literally have a sprained index finger from using a dual shock 4. The only problem with the xbox controller is that its hard to not drop combos imo
Balrog can't be punished and can just mash low punches till it connects, more or less like Karin and Cammy. The real problem is the game itself. The mechanics are broken. Considering footsies are obsolete in Street Fighter V what really matters is button mashing. If you pick a character with low frames is easy to win, considering you crush counter 90% of the time and you force the opponent to stand still and not touch a button or you fuck him.
That triple wink by Smug starting at 10:40 hahahahah
lmao
He's the way to said us: he always got this match.
Julian Lee LMAO!!😂 BRO I said the same thing, Smug silly as hell... that shit had me rolling!!😂😂😂😂👏👏👏👍
He thinks he's slick! hahaha That's my favorite player in SFV. Dude has personality

Everyone in this tournament is so chill. Makes it a pleasure to watch when the players aren’t cold.

Watching this video in september 2024, This so much better than SF6 in my opinion.

"With the greatest of ease"
I love how smug appears very tired and thankful after the match, but gives the surreptitious winks to the camera. Lol, great
when Brian F was really cool without trying so hard. Love watching this 7 years later great king content creators
Legit my two favorite people in the FGC and a great match. Love it.
I find it funny that Balrog is orthodox on one side and southpaw on the other.
I really like the southpaw stance but no one uses it in games/fights
Cause, Mike Tyson (the boxer he's based on) could switch stances and fighting styles in his prime.

@@nintendork9207 oh ok ty i forgot why they did that
As someone who got this game a month ago the old UI kind of freaked me out at first lmao. I had no idea they even made UI changes at one point
my two favorite sfv streamers palying in top eight very cool
Wall to wall chris brown -Yipes
I love yipes for comments like that, everybody else is corny
1:13 They both showed great sportsmanship at the beginning of the fight. :))))
That was very good CLOSE match! Theyre both really with Balrog. Enjoyed watching.
The fact smug uses a 360 controller
It's the best street fighter controller ever! TRUST

The Flat top vs The Dumpster.
The match of the century right here ladies and gentlemen
Balrog mirror match makes the pace very turn based. It's pretty entertaining
Smug is very funny. Great competitor 💪
SFV Balrog must be the standard for any boxing game... seriously.
The fight we all wanted to see!!! 😆
What a fight!
look at how young my boys are!
Smug is My Fucking Hero...
This was looking like a legit boxing match haha! Bruh Smug is the #1 Balrog player. Brian should have known from the beginning.
what a Smug lmao
A match and a half
KnuckelDu comes afterwards and does the same to smug?
althou Brian F. he is a very good player, i always knew Smug Balrog was way better, only PR Balrog or MKT Iwate are good matches against him
How can I get an order of buttery duffs?
Damn they were banging. Lol. I love this shit!
Smug using smug colors lol!!
Both good rogs

How did Smug know to challenge there, was it just a hard read?
I think it was a read yea. It looked like Brian wanted to microwalk and get more pressure in
Man, I can't seem to find Brian F go up against Tokido anywhere in TH-cam.
Sick!
Balrog is so terrifying

I'm gonna be honest, SF6 is a lot more entertaining to watch as a spectator.
@@mustofaakmal7493 I would really like Balrog back though

idk why, but Balrog is so boring to watch and play against ... they are both good for sure but ... meh.
boring? what? he's so explosive you can't blink or else you're gonna be punished.
damien claxton his TAP is OP but it takes time to get it there. So technically, if you can't beat him in that time... you're probably just not good

You don't know about postulating the possibilities, or fundamentally fundamental footsies.
So glad the realist Rog took that set. What match though!
Smug so ugly with that winking
Aww leave the hammerhead alone
