That particular car is owned by Carlos Barbot of Portugal. I practically rebuilt that car from scratch and even the battery pack on wheels that Clive was using haha. Man I miss the races and sunny weather, but never the work and stress.
Really? thanks because i pass some years see this beautiful work racing in Portugal and win sometimes, great soundtrack ahahah at Six o 'clock in the a.m.. making warm up of motor sound is synfony! great job
There were NO porsche 917's when T70's began racing. It took porsche almost 5 years to produce the 917.that amount of time would make any race car obsolete . Porsche couldn't beat the Fords with their 907/908. The 907/908 were Chaparral clones copied by porsche himself at Daytona. I was there that year and saw him taking pictures with his personal camera along with writing notes in a book. By the time porsche came out with the 917 everyone else was finished racing except for Ferrari.
@@timekeeper6968 Great to know. Makes sense. The Lola T70 and Porsche 917 are perhaps the most beautiful sports racing cars ever. Certainly the 1966-72 era is, with Ford GT40 too and Ferrari 512's... The later Porsche 956/962, and Group C's looked excellent too, but not as.

Porsche developed the 917s Kurzheck (short tail) by using the T70 tail as a role model.
