There used to be a backlog of old training videos like this for sale at the collectors shop near Euston station. Sadly the shop closed round about the late 90s, although there may be a few videos floating around in the classified pages of railway magazines.
I've no idea when this was filmed, but the Hawkesbury boxes and Dover Priory box have been closed for years, with all signalling being controlled by the box at Folkestone. Obviously work had started on the Channel Tunnel, so I guess that would narrow it down a bit. Interesting to see how the scenery and railway have changed when compared with this video th-cam.com/video/4DSfp0zYCC4/w-d-xo.html from 18:00 onwards which was filmed coming in the opposite direction, but much later.
roger smith seeing as it's a training video for train drivers, it would be slow to tell them where all the signal boxes are and when they have to slow down to approach stations and just knowing how to stay safe

I can't see why the need training. It's not as if it's a car.
