Annie bugged me in many scenes. She constantly came across as arrogant, she pushed boundaries and nagged Josh. How Josh fell for her in the first place, albeit fleetingly, baffles me.
Agree that Reva was treated horribly here - but I think Josh & Marah couldn't see past their anger that she would be alive and not come straight to them as they both really grieved her. Annie is understandably freaked out and not handling it well. Alan though I cannot give an ounce of gratitude or sympathy - he's manipulated Reva since Goshen in an attempt to keep her to himself. Again and again he tells her that her family moved on and it's better to leave with them thinking she's dead because he wants Reva with him. This is completely Alan Spaulding behavior though and not the first time he's kept information from Reva to manipulate her into staying with him. So everyone is acting like their character would in this situation - and ALL that said - ultimately to me this whole storyline is at heart a writers' trick to keep Josh & Reva apart as long as possible.
@@DeepScreenAnalysis Annie should understand all about cheating.....she cheated on her husband, Rick. Furthermore, she married Josh knowing full well that he loved Reva, but she took the plunge anyway. Anybody w/ sense would know things could end very badly
@@DeepScreenAnalysis This statement makes little sense given the fact that Reva returned as Josh's wife, so if anyone needed to reevaluate the situation, it should've been Annie. And most of us know that the hardest thing in the world is to deeply love somebody in vain, especially when the love is still strong, evident and reciprocated. Any woman who isn't a wuss would've at least gone for it like Reva did.
if marah's age 9 here, then reva raised marah as a single mother for almost half that child's life, but of course reva won't get any credit for her parenting time. josh and annie will get full credit for raising both kids (even when accompanied by a nanny and with annie in their lives for like some months). i swear i think the writers think all soap viewers are either stupid or have terrible memories
They played with dates so much. I just realized yesterday that Marah was aged by December 1988 when Ashley Peldon took over the role (I thought she started in early 1989)
Where did all of Annie's anger come from? She's angry like her and Reva had a past. Technically, Annie never knew Reva. I could understand Annie being confused and worried and concerned and scared but I don't understand all this anger and hate and bitterness from Annie. Josh is the one that should be having all those mixed emotions. Josh is the one who has a past with Reva.
Reva’s ghost tormented Annie all year. You can argue that Reva herself being in a coma was not responsible for that, but Reva was powerful enough to send her spirit to play dirty tricks on Annie.
I started watching this show not long after this story finished. I also remember this Marah and she was by far my favorite Marah and I wasn't happy at all when they decided to change actresses and age the character.
i reacted the same as marah. 2nd worst retcon in the series. was elvis responsible for soul-transposition? crazy thing is little billy knew the whole time tried to tell marah in the episode where alan was doing the kiss-crazy for springfield kissing booth at the fair.

What is the worst retcon for you? Great point about Little Billy - I'd forgotten that plot point.
