John is awesome! He totally understands athletic motion and how to create speed. I love how he had you flex your knees as you re-square them and then jump which maximizes ground forces at the proper time.👍
I like this video. I have not seen this until now, March 18, 2021. The Brandon looks very compact and strong in his stance and swing here. I need to get back into golf now that C0r0na is winding down -- got way out of shape as a result. I got to lose 20 lbs. I'll be working out, but working out based around the golf swing. This video was an inspiration.
Tons of new colorful 'experimental' training aids and working only club and ball speed, You might be having too much fun.... For me, I love that you talk to different coaches focusing on different aspects of the game, it brings amazing insight into the game to hear their stories and takes on golf. Cheers to your great content.
This was really a brilliant set of training exercises. I've watched a million YT golf videos and never seen these exercises before. Very refreshing! It would be great to see what kind of long term changes occur, once working out with these tools/exercises over time. I'd wonder if you'd find that (once training for a while) you could drop a few mph of ball speed off your max here, with less effort and put yourself in a position where your new normal is something close to your former best (on the course). As in, "as straight" and "also longer" than before.
Ben Larsen probably going to a speed school together at the Jayhawk Club weekend of June 23 possibly. Email me and I’ll put u on the list to get info about it once we have the details.
Thanks for these Videos... the Lag Popper (just used my club) was the only drill i did so far but it helped immensly... especially with my tempo. now the transition feels smoother and still i am feeling like i can generate a lot of speed. My clubheadspeed increased from 115 now to 121 just due to the faster backswing... feels fast but if i look at myself on video it doesn't look that fast... still a long way to go but i do like it a lot and will stick with it... thanks for the good videos...
I could watch John give lessons all day, literally. Such an enthusiastic and invested person with students. I'm sure I can't afford it but if I could, I'd totally fly out there for speed training. Thanks for sharing speedy!
Great video well done to you both, the drills and training aids are fascinating to see, and inform my practice/training Will you be publishing the afternoon session and next morning? Looking forward to it
Very nice video, thanks, I will surely put his glute exercises into my training program. But I would like to ask: will that gained speed stay? How long do you have to train to make that Gaines speed available for the rest of the season. And how long do you have to train to see the real benefits? Thanks and keep up the good work.
I went to the website and not all of the items are available. Namely the rubber tension straps and the bungy looking stretchers or the bars. Perhaps I'm looking at the wrong place on the site, but I didn't see them. Just FYI!
Thinking of it now I was gripping pretty damn hard, my forearms were worn out. On the speedball you have to learn to not grip it too hard or you won’t get a big number
I guess the days of the smooth tempo Sam Snead and lazy long Fred Couples are history. It's a different game today - all this science and speed training. You still need to have a well tuned short game, though. Distance will only get you so far down the fairway.
Tv S 140 is easier than 170, 110 is easier than 140, 80 is easier than 110, 50 is easier than 80... distance is important to scoring altho not everything
These videos are BY FAR your best ones with regards to increasing speed. I'm sure the last guy with the home garage looking setup is probably a great guy, but his advice was awful. Your swing was all out of whack, and your finish wasn't even close to being balanced. Being an experienced golfer, training your body to move faster will get you a heck of a lot further than any random tip you receive. Keep up the good work.
The Driver swing is a little different because it is teed up. Actually that makes the driver motion a easier for me, but the sequence and cues are the same. Plus driver you want to go as far as possible and the irons you want to hit a specific distance, no good it all the sudden you hit your 6 iron an extra 15 yards out of nowhere.
darren garland speedball you actually hit something, which is good. Speedball is about 5 percent light. Superspeed 3 sticks is over and underspeed training, just swings though
@@BEBETTERGOLF Thanks for the reply, They are slightly different but the same concept of swinging something as fast as possible, Would you say one is better than the other at boosting your overall speed? would a superspeed session give you the same increase in swing speed?
I went to the website and ordered a lagpopper But there was no where to enter your code. I did leave a note in the box allowing instructions, but I’m not sure the discount was honored as my PayPal showed a charge for the full amount. Can you look into this.
falzzy123 technique wise the Lag Popper because It helps me get more loaded and aggressive off the ball, it was prob the MVP of the trip . But from straight up speed training, speed ball w tail
This is interesting, however it seems somewhat gimmicky. I guess if it works. I much prefer tips about how to get there without buying the extra equipment that will likely get used once or twice and then gather dust in my basement and annoy my wife.
Just because he uses training equipment doesn't mean it's "gimmicky." He's using the equipment to teach the body how to move faster. That's called training. As for your tip - Training your body to move faster will make you move faster.

This guy is so passionate of what he‘s doing. Great seeing him getting excited over bis students improvement!
I’ve been watching your channel for a long while and this, by far, is my favorite series of videos!

I have been working in increasing my swing speed and it has helped me hit the ball better. An unhindered swing produces the best shots.

He's such a positive teacher! This stuff is awesome. I want!

Great work and very inspiring.
Love Johns comment on the Fun factor from swinging fast. The lag popper is interesting.
Louie Landas I have it. U can try
BE BETTER GOLF sounds good that would be cool. I will message or text you to see what your schedule is like this week. Thanks.
Great video well done to you both, the drills and training aids are fascinating to see, and inform my practice/training
Will you be publishing the afternoon session and next morning?
Looking forward to it
Yes all of it
Hi Brendon
excellent excited to see it and if you can get 170mph+
Great vid and nice development! Please, also go through the tour tempo app and all that is connected to swing tempo! :)
That small radar device recommends that it be placed at a 45 degree angle...
does it make a difference?

Constant training and maintenance or it vanishes back to your normal very fast
More great stuff Brendon - Really interesting how the touring pro’s are all looking for any edge ....and so are the weekend Nassau boys
🤣

Was that 1st tool like an upside down Orange Whip with some resistance (tails) at the end? I can also see that there is a grip installed also.
Jim Perko it’s more like a baseball “hit stick”
@@BEBETTERGOLF Thanks, awesome video! Keep us up to date on your progress.
When will speedball driver be in stock again???
Love your stuff Brenden especially this stuff with John, love his energy too. Long ball is great BUT, what did he score during your round with him??
We only played 7 holes he was 1 or 2 over. He is REALLY good at what he practices which is driver and punch irons, fun to watch
Why does the « dynamic » backswing drill work? Is it a tempo thing? picked up speed doing it but dont know why)
more load, muscle primed more unload
How do you get the control in the downswing so easily.
Are you able to do these drills without gripping the club very hard ?
Thinking of it now I was gripping pretty damn hard, my forearms were worn out. On the speedball you have to learn to not grip it too hard or you won’t get a big number
@@BEBETTERGOLF Thanx for the quick reply !

How do we go about changing

Dang Brandon you have to be sore! Just curious on the golf balls you're hitting?? Are they the same balls you play?
Do you do that motion for irons too? Maybe too a lesser extent

How does the speedball compare to using the superspeed golf system, I assume they work the same and have the same benefits?

“Couple speed balls”...😂hello 1990’s great video . How much does he charge for a speed session?
John is good, ihe gets bg gains quick.
How do we get in touch with John? The contact form on his website is not working.
Justin Tang jr@tourtempo.com he’s vacationing this week
Well deserved after the hard work with you!
Your best video to date. Congratulations.
What’s the difference between using this vs. a swing fan?
Michael Rood most swing fans are way too much resistance, it has to be in the sweet spot of 10-15 percent heavy or light to help the golf club speed

It’s there on the checkout page. For me anyway, email them
BE BETTER GOLF thank you. I never got to a checkout page after I clicked to use PayPal, hopefully they will see my note and extend a PayPal credit.
My hemorrhoids flair up watching this .🤕
Ha ha!!
I think the wind was helping you 😆!!!!
What of all the equipment / methods did you find made the most impact for you? Its a bit steep to buy all of the equipment in the video to try out...

Lag popper I see value in that tho
If you keep this up, you're going to need to move back to the men's tees.
Orange whip eliminates all this
I'd love to see some rich dude on the course with this Tour Tempo guy handing him all that crap before he tees off.
