    I don’t know if Bruce writes for Travis, Travis writers for Bruce, or they just spend so much time together that these guys speak the same way.....but, great warmup!

    I need some convincing on the natural point of aim drill where you set up your feet so that the dot aims at the target "naturally". I think it's more useful to practice moving the dot to your target as 90% of the time you won't be lined up exactly for the first shot. This is like practicing bowling off the bumpers... They won't be there when it matters

      More than likely a Haley Strategic D3. Can be run as a single or 2 point. I run the same one on my SBR

    What is the purpose of a rhythm drill? I’ve done them at work in training. I never asked why we did them. I don’t understand it’s application to real life situations.

    • @Raunadraug
      @Raunadraug 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Basically you're ingraining rhythms based on certain shooting speeds to apply to either hitting smaller targets or when you add distance to the target. You know at 1 Yard you can pull the trigger as fast as you can and not miss the A zone on your target. But as you start to add distance, or switch to a headshot, how fast can you shoot and maintain accuracy? The drill is about programming your brain to recognize what each pace feels like, so when you apply it, you don't "get squirely" like Bruce did. Figure out where your hiccups are and work on it. And believe it or not, the more you practice deliberately shooting slow, the faster you can get when you want to go fast.

    • @In10city
      @In10city 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The rhythm drill is a great way to shoot multiple rounds quickly while maintaining better control. I use a metronome starting at 60bpm and work my way up from there.

      What's funny about it?

    • @DaveSmith-cp5kj
      @DaveSmith-cp5kj 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Nebula_Ultra Gallows humor I'm sure. No disrespect intended. Its funny because most people would not expect a double amputee to be teaching firearms training. No one is happy that he had to lose his legs in service of his country, but we can laugh with him due to his positive attitude.
