Shout out to the plaintiff for getting a promissory note. The defendant kept using the "you were too drunk" as a gotcha but the plaintiff was more responsible for NOT driving than she was. All she had to do was go home and not start trouble.
For someone who caused damage to her "friend's" vehicle because of drama involving HER ex, she's got quite the attitude. I hope there was another reason aside from the plaintiff seeking compensation that has her so heated. Otherwise, she's portraying herself as a terrible friend and an irresponsible, childish person!
@BlacknEducated Okay, so it was a gang of thuggish girls, lol. My point was that her emphasis with the XXXXs really drove her point home, and she made it clear to the Judge regarding location of the principal players in their drunken hot mess. The plaintiff did a great job with her sketch on the whiteboard. She prevailed in her lawsuit, sooooo, that was great. It's one of my favorite episodes. Ü

The plaintiff knew her "friend" too well! She had to be prepared for her. Defendant came with attitude and didn't know what was awaiting for her. "The promissory note"
The defendant trying to talk about how drunk the plaintiff was yet she was smart enough to ask her to drive. Also she knew her ex was going to be there. She was being messy and the new girlfriend ain’t come to play. 😂💯
I learned the same thing from the Judge Milian....almost had someone not pay a loan until I put it in a text that she signed a promisory note and that was binding~....love the Peoples Court
🌺The plaintiff wasn't that Drunk to have her sign a promissory note and the defendant will watch where she's backing up next time if their is a next time 🌺
I hit a beamer in a sprinter. We panicked and took off. Got a half a mile down the street and decided to go back 😅and we left our information. It was at a casino, the owner didn't call till the next day 😅 meaning he stayed all night and part of the day in the casino 😅
So if the plaintiff said let’s cross the street nd the defendant crosses with out looking both ways n get hit it’s the defendant fault for not looking both ways
The only reason the plaintiff won was because of the promissory note(kudos to her) because if she didn’t have it it would be on her. Legally the person at fault is who the car is registered too. This is why you don’t let people drive your car.
No, it isn't. The driver is at fault. You don't let other people drive your car because they may have to be sued, and then you have to also collect the damages. Defendant is also a criminal. Hit-and-run. Shameful!
Before I continue watching further let me say this if the people who have a problem have a problem wit the defendant bc it’s her ex bc or whatever the case maybe why is it now my problem tht u crashed my car bc u we’re trying to get us away from the scene which had to do with u not me idk them ppl but u do like think about it if they were never there she prolly wouldn’t have crashed yea ok but they were there n they were there for her not for anyone else lmao so how is it my fault u got drama n crashed my car ?
Why would the defander sign a contract to pay?, what was wrong with her?, i was doing you a favor because you drunk and we got into an accident, so why would I do that?.
If you are driving, it doesn't matter if you were doing someone a favor or not, you are responsible. Obviously there are exceptions for crazy things like the passenger reaching over and yanking on the wheel, but in general, if you drive then you assume the responsibility.
This is the type of thinking that lands you as a defendant. It doesn't matter WHY you're driving, you are responsible for your actions. Her friend asked her to drive, not to crash the car, lol.
Good point judge! Thanks for pointing out the litigant's grammar error, because in grammar "person" word that particular word falls under the 3/6 categories of 1st person, 2nd person, 3rd person singular and plural is one of the possessive pronouns: mine. The one possessive pronoun that does not end with the letter "s". Where mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, yours again for plural, and theirs! I get some of my best corrections for grammar errors by litigants on the Judge Judy's court show and yours too! Don't say, Me( the object) and my boy friend... My boy friend and I (subject) are happy together! I went to the mall by myself with my boy friend's credit card and bought a Gucci hand bag and he had no regrets with my purchase! Finally, if they had been chased with a weapon like a gun and fired upon it would been a different turn out a then report would been helpful and probably the cost would have been divided or in the middle of the event at no fault of the driver would have been dismissed!
I'm fascinated how they can act so intelligent in court with hints of street slang, but I'm sure they go back to all street behavior when they get out of there. 😂
Love the judge correcting planitff when she said Mine's instead of mine. For whatever reason, not rrying to be racial, but they always talk like that, and use the word axe instead of ask. Was just refreshing to hear it get corrected for once!
You probably don't say this to any other accent but you do to this one. How many southerners do you correct when they speak differently. How many people from up north do you correct. You are being racial whether you are trying to be or not. And in the end did you understand what was said because I guarantee people who say this have poor grammar themselves.
If you were listening they went back the next day to talk to the owner of the restaurant about the accident and they owner told them there was no damage to the other car
Language is fluid and changes over time. There’s really no such thing as speaking correctly. We’re all just taught the European standard. They don’t have to follow that. Languages are made up. Not every black person speaks standard English. Because of our history, a lot of us speak a certain way.

@9:37 😂she may have been drinking, but she wasn’t that drunk to handle business and get a promissory note signed! 👌🏾💎
The defendant set the plaintiff up. She was trying to go fight
The same plaintiff who said she was saying things to get her upset then switch up wat she said once the judge started pressing her ?
They're both actually very pretty girls.
doable
@@kyoto32001 yeah, but even that's getting rare these day, so still a treat

Me, too. All my life, since Judge Wapner. The very first reality show. I never watched any others.
The defendant should have brought up an Insurance defense and ask the Judge to Only pay the Deductible which would have been less than that judgment.

Asking someone to drive doesn't make you responsible for their driving. What if she got a speeding ticket? Only the driver is responsible.
